Ringmaster Quilt and Pattern in McCall's Quilting Magazine! from Curlicue Creations

Introducing: The Ringmaster quilt. An intricate looking pattern made with two blocks and straight seams that gives an illusion of curves.

The Ringmaster quilt and pattern appears in the new issue of McCall's Quilting magazine. It's the March/April 2022 issue. Ringmaster is on pages 26 through 31.

This is one of the two blocks in the quilt. It's made with a combination of half square rectangles and foundation piecing.

Step by Step featuring the Sunrise quilt from Curlicue Creations

Today I'm going to show you the gradations project I made for the January Island Batik Ambassador challenge. I'm calling this quilt Sunrise. I ended last year with Sunset Tree, so it was only fitting to begin 2022 with a Sunrise.

Cross River Gorilla ~ Island Batik and Aurifil Challenge from Curlicue Creations

Meet the Cross River Gorilla, an Endangered Species challenge quilt made with Island Batik Fabric and Aurifil Thread.

Note: Items used to make this project were generously supplied by Island Batik, Aurifil Thread, Hobbs Batting, and Schmetz Needles.

This month the Island Batik Ambassadors were each assigned an endangered species to coordinate with the new Aurifil thread sets shown above. Mill House Spring Quilt and Pattern from Curlicue Creations

New Quilt and Pattern Alert! This is my Mill House Spring quilt in the beautiful new Flutterfly fabric collection by Island Batik.

This pattern includes a quick and accurate method for making the hourglass units featured in this quilt.

I was so exciting with the contents of my second box! Many new things to try! Among them a ruler. From Studio 180 Design! I had never used a ruler designed by Deb Tucker. She designs and shells rulers that make easier many things when we make patchwork. Each ruler comes with detailed instructions and almost all of them have explanatory videos and many patterns. If you visite the site, you may see all the rulers, that give very very interesting and various results.
