More Than Busy Today from Quilting My Way

Got up and played for a bit. Then I was doing my exercises, when Bryan called. We must have been on the phone for 3 hours working on the TRUE family. He had information I did not know. I also went to find the Indian War journal that our great grandfather wrote. I sent him a copy but that was yesterday. So, I read the letter to my mother. Then I found a family tree on our great great grandfather. I will have to double check the information because I know I don't have it all in the program ...

From One Thing To Another from Quilting My Way

We were both up early this morning. He went golfing and I headed to my physical therapy appointment.

First things first, I had to stop at Phil's to drop off Kale for him. Then I headed to moms to get her referral for physical therapy. Once I grabbed that, I went to my appointment. We are still trying to figure out why I'm so sore and it's really not letting up. We walked around the building so I could tell him where it hurts. Then we came back in and worked on my foot/leg. I'm ...

A Day At The Casino from Quilting My Way

This morning, Patrick went to his PT appointment. I was up thinking I had a game to play at 9 am but found out it's tomorrow. So, I played on my tablet for a bit and waited for Patrick.

When he got home, we headed out to the casino. We get extra money on Wednesdays. So, we headed out. We were there about 4-5 hours. All we won, went back into the machines. We did have a good time. Then we decided to have an early dinner by having a French Dip for supper. It was really good. AND ...

Trying to Do Something from Quilting My Way

This morning, I was up with Patrick. He went golfing and I waited about an hour before leaving for Physical Therapy. Mom called me while I was there but didn't answer it. She seems to know when to call.

I went to her place after and dropped off some material that she wanted for cutting more 4.5" squares. OMG!! I don't know what I can do with all those squares. There must be enough for 20 quilts right now. AND I can't get her to put a quilt together!! She just wants to cut the fabric ...

Sewing, Running Around, and Stitching from Quilting My Way

Patrick was off to golfing again today. I couldn't get myself up. Seems to be my story when I sleep past 7 am.

Got up and got a few things done. Cleaned the litter box, vacuumed the house, and mopped the kitchen floor. Was tired of the spots on the floor and the threads on the carpet. Once all that was done, I headed downstairs.

I worked on the quilt that we will donate to the museum for their gala.

I sewed the blocks in rows. Now I just need to sew the rows and put a border on ...

Mom's Visit And My Stitching from Quilting My Way

Today Patrick was golfing again. That's a good thing. I slept a little longer. Then I had to get up and get ready for mom to show up at 10 am. I got my exercises and eye stuff done. I didn't get a chance to brush my teeth before she came so had to wait till after.

Mom arrived and we looked over the quilts that needed binding put on. We decided to give another one to Cindy. It was bad. I almost did it, but I couldn't. I will drop it off with her on Friday ...

Trip To Town And Back To Stitching from Quilting My Way

This morning, Patrick left for golfing. He had a pretty good day.

Jo Pope arrived around 10 am and we got her 2 more panels to do. We also got the backing and batting for her quilt she has ready to quilt. She works fast. lol  Before she came over, I worked on cleaning up the room down there. I was putting stuff away and picking out a few things to go to Colleen for the garage sale. She's kicking butt on getting ready for the sale.

After Jo left, I headed over to Colleen's. Dropped off another ...

Casino Day And Cleaning from Quilting My Way

This morning, I was trying to get a few things done before we headed to the casino. I had to pick blueberries and raspberries. Not only was I out there a while, but I ended up sweating by the time I came in the house. It was already hot! The sun was out, and I was killing myself by being out there picking berries! At least I was listening to my book while I was picking the berries.

Then Patrick was ready to leave. He started out in pain this morning, so I didn't think he really wanted to ...

Today, I needed to get moving early. I ended up working on our Facebook page this morning. I was surprised to find several people are now on the FB page. I just worked on it last night and this morning. at least I added the veterans that were awarded a quilt today.

Friday - And A Forgetful Day At That! from Quilting My Way

This morning, I wanted to sleep in but got up anyway. When nature called, I know I won't be able to go back to sleep.

I was working on laundry, but that didn't get me far. Then I decided after some thinking, to go downstairs. I wanted to see what I could do with some of the "kits blocks" mom had that needed to be sewn. I worked on a few. Then I started laying out the quilt. I need to do a quilt for the museum to auction off. So, now is the time to do it ...

Casino Day from Quilting My Way

This morning, we waited for one of my volunteers to come before going to the casino. She dropped off 3 quilt tops.

Then we headed to the casino. Where we then lost the money, we took to gamble with. But again, we were there a good 4 hours. We tried a couple machines that we haven't played very often. We did good on one, but the other not so much. By 3:30 we headed home. Stopped and got gas while we were at it.

After getting home, I went downstairs to cut the backing and batting for the ...

From One Thing To Another from Quilting My Way

Today I was out the door by 9 am. Patrick wasn't doing well. I was a little worried about leaving him. I had to stop at a couple places and then make it to the grange. Colleen had a quilt for me, then I had to stop at Micheals for some floss. When I was done, Geralyn called to say McD's made a mistake and gave us sweet tea and could I pick up the other. So, I did.

We sat and chatted for a while. Alice stopped in. We gave her the sweet tea.

I took the ...

On A Roll........ from Quilting My Way

This morning, I needed to get moving. I had to go to the bank, then see Phil, Colleen and then head to moms. I left around 9 am. First, I had to wait on the car in front of me at the bank. That person was doing business they should have gone into the bank for. After 10 minutes, I was able to leave for Phils. I dropped off some jam Patrick made and some fresh bread I made yesterday. Once we chatted, I went to Colleen's to drop off another quilt and then pick up a quilt. I ...

Getting A Few Things Done from Quilting My Way

Today was one of those days. I was in the mood to do a lot of stitching. I even made some bread for supper today.

This morning, I went downstairs to finish the quilt top that was on the floor. My next quilt is the one on the wall that Ann started.

Since I didn't need to do much but get the borders done, I worked on that. I'm glad I cut the border last time, so I didn't have to have a lot of work to do. I added the stars and then put it all ...

Power Out Yesterday - Trip To Olympia Today from Quilting My Way

Yesterday when I was ready to post my blog, we lost power. It was out for 6 hours due to a truck hitting the power pole.

So, yesterday started out with me going to Dutch Brothers for tea and coffee. We had a presentation that went very well. The ones we honored were a lot of fun. We did have one guy that didn't show though. He will hopefully be there in July.

Casino Day And Quilt Labels from Quilting My Way

Today Patrick went golfing. While he was golfing, I was doing trips in town. First, I took the batting and quilt to the church for Rita. Next to Safeway because I had 2 free coupons that expired today. Next trip was to Phil's to drop a few things off. And lastly a trip to PUD to pay the bill for Gunderson.

Once all that was done, came home and set a message to everyone letting them know about tomorrow.

Patrick came in the door as I finished up with my email. Then we headed out to the casino, where ...

A Little Of This, A Little Of That from Quilting My Way

Today, Patrick headed to play golf, and I went downstairs to work on the quilt on the floor. Mom came over about the time I was squaring up Georgie's blocks.

Mom and I went through the stack of fabric for her to take some smaller pieces to cut for the variation 9-patch quilt. She likes that one and loves to do 9-patches. She also got some white and off-white fabric as well. I'm sure she will have a quilt in no time, just knowing her.

I was thinking before she came that I would put a challenge to ...

Worked On A Couple Things Today from Quilting My Way

Seems like I'm getting back to working on stuff. Geralyn called and asked if I wanted a ride to the grange. Told her I would, and we went to get iced tea at McD's.

We then went to the grange and had a good visit, visiting all the way there and back too. She worked on her quilt, and I worked on my bonsai tree.

I got a little ahead of myself. I was able to get this far and stopped. I thought it was close to time to leave - it wasn't. So, I added more. I ...

I Finished Another Quilt Top from Quilting My Way

Today, I was up and cleaning. Then I decided to go downstairs and work on the quilt top before we headed to the play in Centralia.

I was able to get the center area almost done before we left at 1 pm.

We went to Panda for supper. I got a birthday promotion that I used. We finally got back home around 5:30 pm.

I decided I wanted to keep the reds on one side and the blue on the other. So, when we got home, I went downstairs and worked on finishing this. First, I had to take ...

What A Day! from Quilting My Way

Today, of all days, was hot and awful!

I decided to get my tail moving and get some quilts done for QOV. It's time I got moving again and finished a couple tops. So, I headed downstairs. Before I did, I called Debbie to talk over all that is going on with our group. I filled her in on a few things and we talked about Kristi being head of Mossyrock. We are not going to do anything about it, nor will I help her after what she put me through and then called me a liar. So, it ...
