Embroidery Today & Getting Ready For Tomorrow from Quilting My Way

This morning, I was up early. Had breakfast and played for a bit. Then I got all my stuff ready for the day. Loaded the car and headed to DB for my tea. It was a long line today. But I was only about 5 minutes late. Gerilyn was right behind me as was Sandy.

We had 5 of us and enjoyed it! I even ordered 4 of the "Welcome" pieces that we all want to work on. It's a training piece, but hopefully we will get it done as a group.

I worked on my rose.

I did ...

Interesting Day from Quilting My Way

This morning, I was up around 8 am to play our game. I wanted to play in the kingdom fight. So, while a friend was playing my one account, and it started at 4 am, I got up to play my other account. Both went well from what I can tell. It was only my 4th time playing it.

Then I had to get ready for the play. Patrick and I signed up for the playhouse in Centralia.

This playhouse is small but fun. It's been going since the 1950's and a few movie/TV stars have played ...

Yet Another Saturday from Quilting My Way

This morning, both Patrick and I slept in. It felt good.

Then Debbie and I met up at the museum to figure out what quilts will be used for Saturday and which 2 we will use for Tuesday. We had a time trying to figure out which ones to use. We talked about Tuesday and worked on Saturday's presentations. We have 2 on Tuesday at the Chehalis Tribe and then 10 more on Saturday with the active-duty veterans. It will be fun. I got the quilt ready to go to the museum that was here at the house.

I ...

QOV National Sew Day from Quilting My Way

This morning, I headed downstairs to get ready for our group of quilters. I was getting more of the pillowcases cut.

Around 10 am the gals started coming in. We had at least seven of us. Each had something to do. Val and Colleen worked on sewing the pillowcases. Mary, Debbie and I worked on pinning them for them to sew. Then mom worked on ripping stuff out when needed. Lynn helped with ironing. We had a good process going. We took a break at about noon for lunch then we got back into the pillowcases. They started leaving around ...

Week Is Going Fast from Quilting My Way

Not only the week, but the months are going fast. I feel like I sneezed and January was gone.

Patrick was golfing in the fog. That had to be interesting. It was cold today, but I actually got a few things done.

I needed to get 2 quilt tops set with backing and batting. I used up the roll of batting and a couple of the backings. I'm going to ask the group what colors they want for backing and see what I can get. I am ordering regular rolls of fabric that are solid colors. That will help ...

Another Casino Day from Quilting My Way

Patrick went golfing and Kaiser woke me up at 8:30 am to let me know we needed to move my appointment because my density test wasn't scheduled yet and I needed that before my appointment. So, I had to call and get that scheduled and then call him back. While I waited, I called OBGYN to get an appointment in April - and they don't have that schedule available yet.

So, for a couple hours this morning, I was on the phone. Then I went walking. I got 3 laps in today, which was awesome. I have to ...

Cleaning, Walking & Stitching from Quilting My Way

Patrick was off golfing. I was sleeping in. Then when I got up, I started doing laundry. Amazing how much laundry one does for 2 people. Go figure! I was also doing sheets and towels, but still!

I went walking around the neighborhood and I got in 3 laps instead of 2. I'm improving! It was nice to get out and walk even when the weather was a little cold.

It was time to put everyone's names on the quilts that I need to take to the museum. I have 10 finished quilts in my back room. At ...

Monday - Embroidery Day - But Ended Up Quilt Day from Quilting My Way

This morning, I had to head to Colleen's, then meet Kelsey in Centralia, and then head to moms. It was a busy morning just getting to moms. I ended up picking up 2 quilts to go to moms.

When I arrived, there were 4 of them there. Of course, mom had to pull out her blocks she's been making for us to help her decide how they are going to be put together. So, she made me help her lay them out on the floor.

We worked this one out. It was fun to see who everyone kept ...

Ripping Seems To Be My Motto from Quilting My Way

Today, Sunday. Another weekend gone. Another week beginning.

I actually went downstairs and cut batting and backing for a quilt. Then I cut the panel on the wall in 5 pieces. I will see what will work to put them together and have another top done. It will be interesting what I end up doing.

I listened to my audiobook and "frogged" or rip out the floss that I had put in. Since the shading was off, I wasn't happy with going with the next shade for the same color. So, I took it all out.

It's a ...

Dinner With Family Today from Quilting My Way

This morning, I beat Patrick up. Then I listened to the last 10 minutes of my audiobook.

I pretty much played games till it was time to leave. We had to pick mom up to take her down to Kelso's Red Lobster. We were meeting my brother down there. Mom gave me 2 quilts that were done. Then I gave her the white-on-white fabric for Georgie. She was showing us the quilt she was working on. It's nice.

We headed down to Kelso around 3 pm. Then we arrive around 3:48 pm. My brother and his wife ...

Cleaning Saturday from Quilting My Way

This morning, I was expecting Jo Pope to come over. She came with her quilt top to get backing and batting. She also took another panel to work on with some fabric. She's kicking butt, and her quilts are the hand quilted quilts we give out.

After she left, I worked on cutting backing and batting for 2 quilt tops. I will deliver them to Colleen on Monday. We are doing pretty good with getting quilt tops in and out.

Then I played my hour-long game. After that Patrick and I went downstair and got into the pantry area ...

Getting Lazy - But Still Crocheting from Quilting My Way

Today, I was up and Patrick was waiting to go golfing. I hate it when he ends up waiting to go. I like having my mornings to myself sometimes. He didn't leave till about 10:30 am.

I had my game to play at noon, so I played getting a few things done on my war game. I'm getting closer to upgrading but it takes forever.

After Patrick left, I turned on my audiobook and played for a while.

Mom stopped by for some fabric to work on some blocks for QOV. She stayed a short amount of ...

Tried To Be Lazy from Quilting My Way

This morning, I was up after Patrick. He was waiting to go golfing. They were told it would be about 10 am before they could get out there. He texted me later to say it would be about 11 am. I just laughed. It was really cold today. I don't understand how they can go out in the weather!

I headed up the downstairs. I was going to do some work down there but ended up waiting a couple hours while I played my game.

I first started with the 2" strip on the top and bottom to find ...

Embroidery Today from Quilting My Way

This morning, I had a few things I needed to do before going to moms, but Patrick was kind enough to do them for me. So, I headed to Colleen's to pick up 3 quilts that needed the bindings done. Then I stopped at Dutch Brothers for tea. Got one for mom as well.

Arrived at moms to drop off 5 quilts that needed binding. She had 4 others that she needed to do as well. She sewed on one that was Georgie's, so she could do her own quilt. There was another one that was Georgie's ...

Getting A Few Things Ready from Quilting My Way

This morning, Patrick was up early. I'm betting it's because he gets up early for golfing and now it's hard to break the habit.

I heated up downstairs, thinking I would go down there. I played on my tablet for a while and Patrick watched his western shows.

I cut and got pillowcases ready to be sewn. We will be doing them on Wednesday. I will need to do a few more. It was fun getting fabrics that will work better than the fabrics we were getting.

After putting pillowcases together, and calling it done, Patrick asked ...

Quiet & Busy Day! All In One from Quilting My Way

This morning, Patrick went golfing and I just cleaned a few things. Then I played my games. I was listening to my audio book and didn't want to do anything else. BUT I did go out and walk 2 laps around the neighborhood. I will try and get back to making it a habit.

Patrick got home and we had to head out to Olympia for his blood tests. I was waiting in the car for Sherry, since she was delivering the last quilt, we had up there. It's a panel, so I'm happy about that as ...

Casino Day from Quilting My Way

This morning, was not a good morning. Around 4 am, I woke to an upset stomach. Which meant I needed to get to the toilet fast! After about 3 times, I was feeling a lot better. I wonder if it was something from the potluck or just something I ate yesterday.

I was able to sleep again, so I slept till about 9 am. Patrick went golfing and I stayed home. I got the Roomba working down the hall. I also got some laundry going.

I waited for one of the quilters to drop of 2 quilt tops. They are ...

Meetings from Quilting My Way

This morning, I wanted to enjoy a few minutes of time to myself. Then I had to get a few things done for the meeting at the museum.

I left around 10:10 am and stopped at the post office. I was able to get the package out in the mail. Then I went to Dutch Brothers.

Next stop was the museum for our meeting. A few were there before I got there. I was a little late, considering I wanted to be there around 10;30 am. It was a good meeting. We ate and then talked about what ...

Finishing Up The Quilt Top from Quilting My Way

Today, I slept in. I realized I have been sleeping till around 9 am anymore. Guess I don't want to get up.

I decided to go downstairs and finish up the quilt top.

It took most of the day. When I had it done, I noticed the size was not where I thought it was supposed to be. Then I realized, I missed a white border that was supposed to be there. Oh, well. It's a good size and I'm going to leave it at that.

I made the mistake of putting the red on the wrong ...

Time For Sewing from Quilting My Way

Patrick went golfing and I went downstairs to work on the quilt.

I thought I might be able to get it done today, but then I realized when my stomach decided to act up, I couldn't stay down there to finish it. But I did get a bit done. I should be able to finish it tomorrow. Then I will think about doing another one. I won't have 2 done for Colleen by Monday, but we did get 2 quilt tops from Val to get ready for quilting.

The sides are sewn on it. I just realized I ...
