Another Stiff Day from Quilting My Way

Had a hard night last night. My hip and back were tight all night. Took me a while to even move over. When I got up this morning, it wasn't fun.

I heated up my back for a bit. That seems to help. I will try and fix it for tomorrow. We need to get up by 5:45 am to leave around 6 am to meet at Sandy's house. We will leave from there and be in Auburn in time for our 8 am class start time. Then I'm thinking around noon we will go to ...

Getting Ready For More Projects UGH from Quilting My Way

This morning, I was up after Patrick. Trying to decide if I wanted to get up. lol

When I did, I had a few things to do. First spent a bit playing my war game. Then I pulled out the pattern for my BE Round Robin. I needed to get it ready to mail and I needed to make up my mind what I wanted to do for the arms. At first, I thought I would do one that was the front material and one that was the back material. Then I changed my mind.

I pulled out the light ...

Trip To Shipwrecked Beads - Olympia from Quilting My Way

Actually, I think Shipwrecked is in Lacey, not Olympia.

I was up and out the door by a quarter to 9. I was heading to Sandy's. It was so good to see her again, and we planned this trip in May but never made it. Today we finally did!

Stopped to get drinks and Sandy gave me "shit" for putting a straw in her coffee. She was laughing so hard it was comical! Funny part is that I use a straw with my drinks from DBs. lol

I was hooked! I found most of what I was looking for ...

Physical Therapy And Moms from Quilting My Way

This morning, I was up early. I wanted to get to moms before I went to physical therapy. It's a 5 min walk from mom's house.

I arrived around 9 am. We worked on looking for animal designs to do a baby quilt for Bob's granddaughter. At this rate, it will be over a year old before they get it! Then I started pulling stuff down from mom's cabinets. She wanted to go through her quilt stuff. We got about 20 minutes in when I needed to go to PT. I got a good workout at ...

Keeping Busy With Stitching from Quilting My Way

This morning was one of those mornings one doesn't want to get up because it rained all night. The shy was still dark, and sleep felt better. Yet instead of staying in bed, I got a call from Ron saying he was getting ready to move to Vancouver. I'm thrilled to hear that! He needs to be by his older son and not worry about the middle one. He was getting a few things out of the house and then they were moving to Vancouver. I told him to keep in touch.

Then I helped Patrick with dehydrating ...

Worked On A Couple Things Today from Quilting My Way

Seems like I'm getting back to working on stuff. Geralyn called and asked if I wanted a ride to the grange. Told her I would, and we went to get iced tea at McD's.

We then went to the grange and had a good visit, visiting all the way there and back too. She worked on her quilt, and I worked on my bonsai tree.

I got a little ahead of myself. I was able to get this far and stopped. I thought it was close to time to leave - it wasn't. So, I added more. I ...

Quilting At Mom's from Quilting My Way

This morning, I collected everything I needed for mom's place. We were doing a Birthday lunch for Carmen. It's funny how that works. I had my Birthday last month and no one said a word. Then I get an email asking to bring stuff for her luncheon. Weird how that works.

I gave Nancy the stuff she needed to do the certificates for our presentations. I hope it works out okay.

I ended up ironing Ethel's quilt top that we need to get moving on. Mom didn't want to do it, of course. So, she had ...

A Day In Puyallup from Quilting My Way

At 7:45 am, Geralyn picked me up. We headed to DB to get coffee and tea. Then went on to moms to take her up to Puyallup to the "Wooly Group" that does wool applique and quilting. I took along my embroidery for this trip. We all met at the library up there. It's the first Monday of the month. Geralyn goes there every month. I'm not interested in going every month. But since mom knows Jeanne Austin, she wants to go every month.

Geralyn was working on her quilt there. It's a wool quilt that ...

Busy Day Of Fun from Quilting My Way

This morning, I worked on the laundry and cleaned the cat litter box, since I haven't done that lately.

While the laundry was going, I was working on getting the word chart done for the ornament. I finished the first panel and started on the next one.

I have it about halfway done now. I am around row 50. There are 83 rows, so I'm getting there. While I was working on this and decided I needed a break, I went through my frames for cross stitching.

Then I ended up getting the frame set up for this ...

Groceries And Beading from Quilting My Way

This morning, we went to the new WinCo store to check it out. We actually came home with 5 bags of groceries plus stuff and it was half the price of what we spend at Safeway. There were a few things that we could get cheaper at Safeway, but not much. Their produce was even better. So, chances are we will be shopping there more. We used to, when we lived in Pullman.

We came home and unloaded. Then I sat and worked on my beading. I'm not happy with it, but Patrick likes it. I don't. First ...

Organizing Beads from Quilting My Way

We had our embroidery meeting today.  Just Sandy and myself.  We went through the 2 bags of beads we ordered. Then we put the numbers on the bead tubes.

We organized some by color.  Then we put some in another bag to get rid of. Got some earrings out of it as well. Plenty of tools to help with making earrings and jewelry.  Maybe one of these days I will try necklaces.

Came home and spend the afternoon putting my beads away. Add them to my excel program.

Once all that was done,  I decided to spend time with my ...

Meeting Today from Quilting My Way

This morning I picked up some hot/cold pads for Patrick.  He hurt his back and is having trouble moving around. Then I picked Debbie up to go to our meeting.

Our group had a good talk, I believe.  We went over a lot. It ended up being 2 1/2 hours. I think we can move forward in a good way. I need to do somethings to keep the group up on what's going on and they need to do more as well.

Came home to find my box of beads waiting for me.

I went through the ...

Moving Day from Quilting My Way

This morning Patrick went golfing and I went to Nancy's after my game play.

It was crowded at Nancy's with 7 of us. I took my crocheting but forgot to take the squash Patrick had ready for me.

I finished one more potholder and started another.  This one is a little small.

Came home,  cleaned up the computer room. Looked up ink stamps for our flyers. Put beads away and logged them in my listing's.

We left for the theater to see " The Wild Robot." Loved it. The theater is getting run down. They didn't have ...

Cleaning Up My Vacation Mess from Quilting My Way

This morning,  I was up and playing my games. Ron called outside our yard, to let me know he was waiting on me. He was chatting with his son on the phone, the whole time. We only did 3 laps today because it was so hot.

Patrick wasn't doing good today, so he slept most of the day. I went into the computer room to clean up my pile from the vacation.

I pulled out my beading boxes and added the new stuff to it. My mystery box beads were put in tubes and filed in the boxes.

I ...

Another Quiet Day from Quilting My Way

Patrick was up before me. Think he was uncomfortable and got up. I slept a bit.

I played my games, then called Ron to go walking around 11 am. We walked 6 laps and I called it done because it was way too hot for either one of us.

Patrick picked some apples,  so we peeled and cut them for apples sauce. We did get 4 containers full. May do another batch tomorrow.

We watched a couple different shows.

I got my monthly mystery box with beads.

Now I just need to put my beads away.  I will try and ...

Genealogy Day from Quilting My Way

This morning, I was running behind. I had to get moving for walking. We did 5 laps around the neighborhood but thought we did 6 till I realized I was counting wrong on my tees. We had stopped and chatted with Kevin Hubbert and thought we counted wrong. After I got home, I figured out we did. Oh, well.

I spend the rest of the day till 4 pm working on family history. I was adding a few things on Findagrave. I was also putting obit information into my program. It was long but it needed to be done. I ...

Time To Get Organized from Quilting My Way

This morning, I walked with Ron, and we got in our 6 laps around the neighborhood. He was doing pretty good today. At 94 years old, I hope I am as good as he is at that age.

Came in and started cleaning a bit. Got laundry going. Even got the cat litter cleaned out. Every couple weeks I wash the litter box itself. Then bleach it. Doesn't seem to both Sophie. But it does make me feel better when I wash the box.

I was waiting for my bag of tubes to come in so I could get ...

Hello Friday - And Quilting At Mom's from Quilting My Way

This morning, I was up at 6:30 am because of all the sun coming through the windows. I couldn't go back to sleep even if I tried.

So, I played on my game and then got ready to go to moms. I stopped at Safeway to pick up a couple things. Once that was done, I arrived at moms with a few people behind me. There were 7 of us today.

I pulled out the pattern that I needed for the first block.

Sorry, but this is a copy right issue, so I'm not show the whole ...

Meeting And Cleaning Up Day from Quilting My Way

This morning I decided to go to my Brazilian Embroidery meeting.

Before I even got out the door -

I noticed this mess!! Sophie was exploring last night! UGH I sent Patrick the photo and headed out the door!

Our meeting was just Sandy and me. We had such a good time! I didn't take anything to work on, but we chatted the whole time. I did work on getting my word chart done for the Christmas ornaments for this year. I need to get those done so I can start working on them. I will do more later.

Came ...

Enjoyed Being Home Today from Quilting My Way

Today I was enjoying being home. I really like having the time to sit and just relax before the holidays and surgery. I did get a call from the nurse about surgery next week. I'm starting to get nervous but trying not to. Take each day, and I'll be fine!

Patrick went golfing but was back home by 11:00, guess they only did 9 holes. So, I didn't get the day to myself but that was okay too.

I worked on getting the next ornament word chart done. I'm only about half way on the ...
