What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

This morning, I was up early to get to play my war game. I was playing another part later in the day but decided I wasn't going to do it. So, I got out of it. I get tired of being killed off. lol 

I needed to get the kits ready for Colleen, since she was coming over to get them. Patrick suggested we work the bolts out of the pantry and put them out where I can get to them - let alone see them. So, we got it set up. 

 Today, I was up and ready for Val to come over. When she arrived, I was chatting with Debbie on the phone. We were working on Quilts of Valor stuff. Val won't be able to make it tomorrow. We'll see her next time. Our sew day is next week. 

I then got to work on the family history. I wanted to work on Patrick's family some more. I added about 200 names to the Wiltzius tree. We now have 4,600+ names to his tree. I have more to work on, and will probably try to do ...

 Today we slept in. I was surprised I could, since my hips were telling me otherwise. 

I had a few things to do on the computer. Next thing I know, I'm working on the family history. 

Interesting day. We were up early for Patrick's 9 am physical therapy appointment. I went to moms, but she was off to the church to give out food to the needy. I played on her computer till I needed to go back and pick him up. I had taken 3 quilts to her for labels but realized one label was on good enough, so I left it alone and brought it home.

This morning, we headed out to Safeway to pick up a few things. I remember being a checker and the gal we were in line for - WAS SLOW!! I would have gone through 4 people by the time she had one person done! She didn't seem to care either. We must have waited in line over 10 minutes for her to do the 2 people in front of us. When I was a cashier, if I saw people waiting in line, I picked up my checking speed. This gal was slow all the way. Not in any hurry to ...

This morning, Patrick went golfing. I got up about 30 mins after he left. Then I enjoyed sitting down and playing games. I even watched the documentary on Gene Wilder. It was interesting but only worked on his carrier and not on his childhood.  It was pretty good. Surprised me a couple times. I didn't watch all his movies, partly because it was too silly for me. I never understood why movies made silly movies that were way out in the field. It wasn't funny to me because I didn't understand the jokes sometimes.

This morning, I was up after Patrick left for his physical therapy appointment. I wanted to sleep in. 

When I did get up, I had a few things to do. I needed to get the veterans entered into the system to receive a quilt. I had 8 to do. Half of them went elsewhere. I sent a message to Cindy to let her know what was what. 

I was also able to get some genealogy done. I was going through the Elder family and found a couple that I was missing information on. I had to do all that before ...

This morning, Patrick went golfing and I got to work on cleaning up before I did anything else. I did stop and play my war game at 9, then back to cleaning. 

Before and after Patrick came home, I was working on the WILTZIUS family. I received a message from another family member and wanted some documents. So, I pulled out my file and started reviewing it. I made sure I didn't miss anything or get anything wrong. Then I scanned them and sent them on. He didn't want but one direct line, so I didn't have ...

This morning, Patrick was golfing, and I was home. It felt good to be home, but I had little time to do much since I slept in till almost 9 am. It really surprised me I slept that long. 

When I got up, I thought I had my war game but found out it wasn't for 4 more hours. So, I played for a bit and then got to work on a few things. I wanted to bead, but the table is picked up for now, so we can put another tablecloth down. I was hoping Patrick would do ...

Today, of all days, was hot and awful!

I decided to get my tail moving and get some quilts done for QOV. It's time I got moving again and finished a couple tops. So, I headed downstairs. Before I did, I called Debbie to talk over all that is going on with our group. I filled her in on a few things and we talked about Kristi being head of Mossyrock. This morning, I went walking with Ron. He's slipping fast. I got mad at him when he was telling me about his middle son. I guess he's been showing up and taking over for him. He's not letting Ron have any say on what he wants. I told him he need to go to Vancouver to be with his oldest son who has the control. I'm afraid the middle son will have him sign something he shouldn't, and it will take away the control his older son has.  The middle son is a sneak and ...

This morning, I was walking with Ron and his grandson. We walked about 4 times around the neighborhood. Ron is slipping and I know his grandson sees it. He's spending a lot of time with him and getting things done. They came to take photos of the house to put on the market. I just wish I could afford it, but don't want to go back in debt for it. 

I spend the afternoon working on the family tree. I started out fixing a couple of the MATHESON family and then went to check on my TAYLOR family ...

 We were asked last night if we wanted to go to Vancouver, WA to have a BBQ at my brother Patrick's house. Mom and my brother's (Chris') family were going down. We told them we needed a break and wouldn't be going. 

So, I walked with Ron about 5 laps. Then I played on my tablet.

This morning, we had to leave early for my pulmonary appointment. I had to do the breathing test, the walking test and then chat with the doctor. I'm staying about the same. I had to wait to see him because their medical computer program went down. I was telling Patrick that it would suck if they went down and couldn't get to the records. I know there are backups, but who knows. One really does need paper backups.  

I could eat after I left because of the CAT scans that I had to have done. It went fast ...

 Today was a quiet day. I actually enjoyed it. 

Ron and I went walking for 5 laps around the neighborhood. He wanted to go 7 but my leg couldn't handle that much. So, I told him a little at a time. 

Then I came in for Patrick to go to his coffee with the guys from work (now retired). They had a good chat. Found out the engineer that worked for the city had passed away at the age of 53. That's got to be hard on the family. After that, he went shopping for a few things ...

 We went to the casino today. It was funny, as we were sitting there, a gal came up and asked how we were doing. I looked for the voice but wasn't sure who they were asking. As I turned, she asked if I was Lynn. Yep, I'm Lynn. She chatted with me, gave me a complementary dinner voucher. I was surprised. Not sure why they wanted me. Then realized the money we have been using since November might explain it. lol I was grateful and surprised. So, when it was time to leave, Patrick decided we could just ...

Today I was in "limbo" over a few things. I was sorry to hear the Pope passed away today. I have always followed him, even though I was not Catholic. Patrick was, but doesn't consider himself that anymore. I have often wondered why he hasn't wanted to go back. He did when we visited his parents, but since then he hasn't been in the Catholic church. 

Oh, then I had to call and make an appointment for my "bladder, kidney" areas. Neurologist I believe.  Anyway, found out what they want me to do, and was a little ...

This morning, I was up and ready to get moving. I had plans to go walking, clean the kitty litter, clean the kitchen, and do laundry. At the same time work on my Christmas beading project. 

Well, Heck No! That wasn't what the universe had planned for me! Instead, I got laundry going. Then was ready to go clean the cat box when I got my phone call from my cousin. 

Which turned out to be 3 hours of genealogy time. MATHESON family is HUGE!! I must have entered 200 names with him on the phone. BUT WAIT! There ...

This morning, I was just cleaning up a bit. Not as much as I normally do. Patrick did more cleaning then I did. 

I decided to work on my genealogy this afternoon. In the morning, I played games, but decided I needed to work on my genealogy and fix what I had wrong. 

So, I started out with the MATHESON family. Fixing the Henry Matheson family since he was married twice and I had his wife having an "unknown" father to Henry's children. That had to be fixed and only took a couple minutes. I was having trouble downloading ...

This morning, I tried to sleep in. No such luck! 

Got up and played on my computer. Got to play a couple games. Then I went downstairs and tried to get more done on the quilt.
