What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

 This morning I had a list of things to do. One was heading to the bank and then to City Hall. I stopped at City Hall to see the Police Chief and City Manager. I gave them some applications for veterans. I also enjoyed chatting with Stacey since I haven't seen him in years. We chatted like old friends. That put me behind. I stopped at DB and it was busy. So, I had to wait. I told them I wasn't happy that the last 2 times I ordered a drink for Debbie, they gave me a medium ...

This morning, we did the usual of cleaning up. Then we went outside and picked a bucket of apples. We have 8 boxes of apples out there that were on the ground. So, we didn't start picking them fast enough. 

Came in and made apple sauce with the first set of apples. Patrick didn't want to do much, which was disappointing since I was wanting to do the whole bucket. I did take 3 apples and make a German Apple Cake for tomorrow. It's in the refrigerator.

 This morning, we planned to go to the casino. I got a few things done before heading out. 

We dropped off 2 kits and picked up 2 tops from Martha on the way. Then we played for a good 4 hours. We had fun. Won and lost, but we didn't lose a lot. We are still playing off the money we got 4 months ago. They aren't giving out big wins anymore and they aren't giving out as much money as they did before. Next month I will only get about $45 when I was getting $75 ...

 This morning, I took my walk before I did anything. It was already 65 degrees outside. I got the full 7 laps in today. 

Then came in and worked on my QOV stuff. I needed to get my excel finished and also work on who's next on the list to get a quilt. Patrick came in from golfing. He quit early and went to take a nap. That seemed to help him out. While he was doing that, I was working on QOV and making phone calls.

 You know you're getting old when you have 4 doctor appointments in a week OR 6 or more in a month! OMG! I remember waiting a whole year to see the doctor! NOT NOW! 

I had my cardiologist appointment today. I'm getting ANOTHER pill to help me out. Then I have blood work to do in 2 weeks after starting it. OH, yea, then I have another echocardiograph again in 3 months. OH! BUT MY HEALTH IS GOOD. Really?! Or is it old age talking that at my AGE, I'm healthy?

 This morning, I really wasn't feeling all that great. So, I really didn't do anything but play on the tablet for a bit. 

Then we left around 12:30 pm to drop off 2 quilts with Colleen and then head off to Olympia for my eye appointment. I ended up getting 2 pairs of glasses, one for every day and one for when I work on my projects. I hope they work out. Then we went up to Patrick's oncology appointment. He is working on getting his stomach back in shape. The oncologist gave him something for ...

This morning, I needed to get the backing and batting done for Colleen. Then I got another quilt to take to the church. I had to pick one up, and asked if she could take another. 

First, went to the church, got a quilt, dropped one off. Second, went to PUD to drop off a check, then to McD's for breakfast. Once that was done, I went to Dutch Brothers for tea. Got one for mom as well. 

Arrived, dropping off the quilt at moms. Gerilyn and Bonnie were there. I didn't feel like working on anything, so ...

Today was one of those days. I needed to clean house and I needed to sleep. Instead, I cleaned house and got everything done. 

Then I sat and played on the tablet for a while. I was enjoying my "hunting" around the kingdom to see where I could get resources. 

After supper I decided I needed to get back and finish another one of my cross stitches. I worked on it for a good 3 hours. 

 Hi all. I'm sorry for not posting. When Covid hits as bad as it did in our house, we didn't feel like doing anything, BUT sleep. And that is pretty much what we did. 

Yesterday I tested negative for Covid. Same for Patrick. We are still beat, but the energy is coming back. Not very fast, but it's coming back. 

Today we went to get our blood work done. Then we stopped at the casino and found we couldn't stay longer than 2 hours. We were both beat and Patrick came home to sleep. I ended ...

 For the last 3 days I have been in bed sleeping. I caught a cold that turned nasty. Affecting my ears. I believe it's sinus' but who knows. My eye itch as well. 

Today is the first day I started feeling better. While I was typing this, I decided to test for covid - yet again - and this time it was positive. So, poor Debbie is doing what I should be doing at the fair. Frustrating.

Okay, I got some of my accounting wrong, but you get the idea of what we were doing. We actually tried to go to the Waterfall the first day we were there. It was WAY off the beaten path. We drove through a neighborhood, then a bumpy road that went into a skinny lane of mud. So, we parked like so many others did. Then we hiked about a half mile When it was up a hill on rocky soil. We got halfway up the hill when Kat said it was another mile to the falls. UGH - so we called ...

 Today, I was working on laundry and getting ready for our trip. I wanted to work on my "bead starter strip" that can be used to start beading projects. I wanted to get it done so that I could take it with me as well. It's a white and black strip so that I can use either side. Depending on the color bead I start with. 

I was playing games and moving. Between household stuff to do before going and getting ready, it kept me pretty busy. I even picked out beads for the bracelet I plan to make ...

 This morning, I headed to the museum to get 2 quilts that I needed for the fair. Since they had to be registered by the 3rd, I had to get them in asap. I figured if I got back on Sunday and it had to be done by Monday, I would forget. So, I managed to get it done. I entered 2 quilts and my embroidery as well as my cross-stitch Santa. The Angle isn't done and I didn't get a chance to work on it today either.

I was up before 6 am. I got in my shower, breakfast and then we were out the door for Olympia. I'm not having good luck with my tests lately. I had the Electrocardiogram done today. Results came back, and there were a couple things my doctor wants me to talk to my cardiologist about. It will have to wait till we get back to see if I need to see him soon.

Came home and Patrick went to take a nap. I went downstairs and did a sleeve for my cross-stitch bars. I have my next cross stitch ...

This morning, we were up and ready to go. I got moving on getting some laundry going. Adding stuff to the luggage for our trip. Really don't need much, but I tend to over pack every time. 

Vacuumed and got the kitty litter taken care of. Then I came in the computer room and got some things done with QOV. I had to update the Facebook stuff. Then I had to go down the list of veterans for our excel sheet. I still have about 100 names to add. It's getting closer to being done. I just need ...

 Sometimes (more often now) I wish we had air conditioning. We don't. Really can't put one in because this was built in 1977 and has heater boards. So, there isn't a vent that we could use to have air conditioning. It sucks! But at least downstairs is cooler.

This morning, Patrick went golfing and I went for a walk at 11 am. I went 4 times around the neighborhood. Then came in the house to find sweat rolling off my face. I TOUGHT I was early enough, but NOPE. 

This morning, I didn't want to get up. I don't know what my problem is. Lately I would rather stay in bed and sleep. This morning, it was a thunderstorm, and I went back to bed. When I woke an hour later, it was thundering again. I haven't heard a good thunderstorm like that in ages. And I just wanted to sleep. Go figure!

When I did get up, I played a new game I installed. 

Went to the doctors for my foot. They gave me a support for my feet to see if that will help ...

I slept in while Patrick went golfing. I really wasn't in the mood to do anything. So, I waited for him.

We headed to the theater to see the movie "Moana." I really enjoyed it! Well worth seeing. It was a fun movie. Really close to the animated one. 

After that, came home and I pretty much was playing on my tablet. It wasn't a day to be Happy Stitching/Happy Quilting!

 This morning, both Patrick and I tired. Patrick was on the couch when I got up. Played on the tablet and was falling asleep. So, he went to the bedroom, and I went on the couch. Neither one of us was up before 11 am. I had showered but just couldn't stay awake. Patrick wasn't feeling well, so he slept as well.

I had my game at 1 pm. Then we went downstairs to clean up my QOV room. 

I had him cut the batting and backing for 3 quilts. They are waiting for them to be washed ...
