Handy Tip and Tidying Up from From the Strawberry Patch...

In an effort to finish as many projects as I can this summer I have adopted the practice of binding for a few hours each and every evening while watching TV before bedtime. We don't watch television in the lightest and brightest of all rooms which makes needle threading a challenge. I have started pre-threading my hand needles during the day and have them ready to go now when I sit down to bind

Do they give you joy? from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

The tidying up process is a long one. The first step is to realize that there's an issue - I'm not talking hoarding level here. I'm just talking about why does that darn kitchen table always have stacks of paper on it. I'm talking about piles of books or magazines stacked by the chair or the bed or wherever. If that's the case - it's time to think about finding them a home or tidying up or whatever you want to call it.

But have you thought about tidying up your friendships or relationships? If you ...

Technology is not my friend from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

My computer has been slowing down over the last little bit and I attributed it to not shutting it off and clearing the memory from time to time. But the other day something serious happened and it went into slow motion mode. In Outlook almost every keystroke meant a "not responding" message. I couldn't take it anymore - besides it was getting harder and harder to get anything done.

I called GeekSquad. They took control of my computer for hours - I mean hours and it's much better today. Not sure that it's 100%, but better. They suggested I ...

And so this happens.................... from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

I swear there's a gremlin in my house and it loves to eat computers!

Now keep in mind that I'm not the best computer user. I NEVER shut my computer off. Good grief - what's the point? I'm on the darn thing on and off all day. There just doesn't seem to be a point in turning it off. To give it a rest? To save electricity? I don't see any reason. However, it does need to be restarted from time to time if for no other reason than to clear the memory. I know ...

What a mess! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

I'm preparing my blog posts for QUILTsocial. Some super exciting news happening there - wait a few weeks and you'll see what I mean. I'm very stoked about this one.

Anyway, it has involved a lot of prep work and my studio has basically been pulled apart. I can't even take a picture - there is too much stuff everywhere! You see I needed some examples and I thought rather than just make random examples, I would actually make a wee bit of progress on several projects.

A bit of panic as I looked for something that I ...

Quilting archives! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

I have to say that it felt good to get back to my routine yesterday! I had been ignoring some paperwork and I made a good stab at two of the items. There will be some follow-up for both, but that's OK - let's get these things done and off my plate as there's a lot more waiting to be processed!

Part of the routine is getting back to the gym. I pay a lot for that membership, I might as well make good use of it. So I was off to my favorite spin class this morning ...
