Migration to Africa (UFO) and Other Finishes from Grandma's Red Needle

Hello everyone! I hope you're having a good week and get lots of quilting done.
It's winter on the Southern hemisphere. We're having a cold front from Antarctica; rain, wind and 3-4 degrees (Celsius) drop in temperature. (Actually no rain the last days!). This morning we have +14C / 57.2F and 65% humidity. The cold gets into my bones! BRRR! Never in my life did I imagine I have to wear wool clothes in the tropics, but that's what I'm wearing!

To keep my fingers warm, I've been working on my list from my ...

What's on your sewing table.... from Grandma's Red Needle

...and chair, that needs to be finished?

This is my sewing table today. It doesn't look that bad, eh? A couple of projects, right?

The chair; overflowing! Some WIP's hiding there!

I'm determined to work on UFO's, but in between I need a break to work on smaller projects. After doing a little counting today, I've decided to finish (most of) the projects laying on the table and chair, before I touch anything else! (Easier said than done!) I've not set a timeframe, because that won't work for me! I didn't take ...

Very Little Progress on UFO's, Cross-Stitching and Second LOCKDOWN from Grandma's Red Needle

Today the calendar shows March 23! More than two months since my previous post! How did that happen??

So, we are on the second C-19 wave, which resulted in lockdown from March 10 until March 25. UGH! With increasing numbers (202 per this morning), I'm quite sure the lockdown will be extended another 1-2 weeks, at least!

My previous post shows accumulated UFO's from 2020 and older. I'm quite sure they multiply overnight! As part of APQ's  and Quiltsy Team's UFO Challenge 2021, I did finish #7 (January Challenge).

These blocks were leftovers from a ...

Scrappy Log Cabin WIP and other stuff from Grandma's Red Needle

It's February! That means another UFO to finish!
APQ UFO Challenge for this month, is #9. For me, that means 'Log Cabin Blocks #2'.

There are so many possible patterns for a log cabin quilt, difficult to choose. I had to decide, and ended up with this:

When you are reading this, I've already pieced together these blocks and a few more. I started working on these scrappy log cabin blocks in March 2016! The idea was to make one block each day. It worked pretty well the first 3-4 months, but then I got bored. Last year ...

Advent Calendars and Tortilla Warmers from Grandma's Red Needle

WELCOME JULY!
Where on earth did the first part of 2019 go?! I'm sure someone stole it, as one said!

I'm busy as ever and determined to finish some Advent Calendars

Over the last days I have quilted, added pockets and sleeve to four of these. I have one left to do, I ran out of fabric for the back! UGH! More on the way, expected to arrive end of July.

There are 24 single small pockets, measuring 2 x 2 inches. They are tedious to add and I must say I was relieved when all 96 pockets ...
