I am so sorry for this happy blog post. I am sorry especially towards all Greeks, who suffer from these terrible wildfires happening in my country. But I have to post about it because it is part of my obligations as an Island Batik Ambassador.

Λυπάμαι πολύ που κάνω αυτή την χαρούμενη ανάρτηση. Κυρίως απέναντι στους Ελληνες φίλους που με διαβάζουν. Η χώρα καίγεται ακόμα συμπληρώνοντας σχεδόν μια εβδομάδα κι εγώ πρέπει να κάνω αυτή την ανάρτηση μια και είναι μέρος της υποχρέωσής μου προς την εταιρεία Island Batik, της οποίας είμαι Πρέσβειρα.

I am so sorry for this happy blog post. I am sorry especially towards all Greeks, who suffer from these terrible wildfires happening in my country. But I have to post about it because it is part of my obligations as an Island Batik Ambassador.

Λυπάμαι πολύ που κάνω αυτή την χαρούμενη ανάρτηση. Κυρίως απέναντι στους Ελληνες φίλους που με διαβάζουν. Η χώρα καίγεται ακόμα συμπληρώνοντας σχεδόν μια εβδομάδα κι εγώ πρέπει να κάνω αυτή την ανάρτηση μια και είναι μέρος της υποχρέωσής μου προς την εταιρεία Island Batik, της οποίας είμαι Πρέσβειρα.

1st box for this year in the context of the Island Batik Ambassadors Program. 1st delivery, two boxes to be accurate. Arrived with great delay. Especially the second one that travelled firstly to Catar and then came to Athens. Thank God safely and without Customs fees!!!!! It was a great pleasure to see that there was the making of a bag on this semester’s schedule. We love a lot the bag making in Greece. And I love especially Annie’s Unrein patterns. When I was asked about the pattern I wanted to make, I chose this bag that actually is not a bag, but a whole suitcase. I had made this bag in the past several times, but I wanted to see the most of the materials that Annie has in her shop. Therefore I asked for this pattern, that proved to be very wise ...

“A great challenge from an old favorite! There are so many ways to do a log cabin block. What will you pick? Choose your blocks from curved, triangle, wonky, star, twisted, classic. You can create variations by adding appliqué. Then choose your layout, there are way too many options to mention! Use any technique, paper pieced or traditional”. Two years ago started everything. I could not believe in the email I received then. I felt the same happiness this year too, that the number of the group got smaller but I remained in it. I adore Island batik fabrics! I adore the monthly challenges. Ok, to tell you the truth, some times deadlines torture me. Some other times I do not like the challenge. However, I keep going and learning and becoming better. I am learning by the challenges, by my fellow-Ambassadors, by the whole process. And here I am, Ambassador for the 3rd time for my favorite ...
