Sunday Chat – Autumn, a Bear, and Sewing from From My Carolina Home

Fall color came into its peak at our place this past week, and was gone just as quickly. Early one morning, as the sun came up over the mountain to the east, the oranges and golds were glowing in the light.

The colors were beautiful down the driveway and around the street.

Gracie, our resident squirrel, came up for a treat. Of course, she looks so cute that she got her peanut butter sandwich.

Scones, Muffins and Huckleberries from From My Carolina Home

When we took our vacation last year to Yellowstone, I had a revelation. For my entire life, I never thought that huckleberries were a real fruit. I knew about Huckleberry Finn, (and Huckleberry Hound, LOL, raise your hand if you remember that cartoon) but I truly thought that was just a name made up for Tom Sawyer’s buddy.
