One thing is certain, the year that just ended will have been full of twists and turns for most people. We’ve all had to face unimaginable challenges. It has also been a somewhat forced way to reinvent ourselves, to rethink our priorities and to find pleasure in the little things in life. For me, the … Continue reading "The year 2020 in review!"

So I’m part of Mt. Battie Modern Quilt Guild, one of two local groups. This chapter, part of the MQG (Modern Quilt Guild) is the smaller of the two and is almost completely comprised of members of Coastal Quilters (the other group) which is part of the statewide Pine Tree Quilt Guild (Maine is the Pine Tree state). For once, I decided to participate in a round robin sort ...

I didn't cut the pieces until the morning of, so, I didn't have a lot of time to think through the math. I just cut a bunch. I had a great time at retreat. My back was not ready for the whole 2 days, but, I made it into the second day. After relaxing the rest of the weekend, my back is better, and ready to go again. It just gets tired.
The first project I worked on, was a set of blocks that we bought from My husband's Aunt estate in the nineties. I talked about it here. Each block is appliqued and embroidered with names from an exchange. There were only 8 blocks, so I made a little set of hexagons to make it ...
