Just in time for a summer project, here is my BEACH BUM GNOME QUILT.

This adorable lap quilt was designed while I was vacationing in Hilton Head. I found the fabric in a super cute fabric store on the island.

I had a blast shopping for fabric that would work for the cute little “Hawaiian” shirts.

This Gnome has a unicorn floatie and sunglasses! He is ready for the beach.

This Gnome in his sailboat is definitely going on a pillow for my boyfriend, who adores sailing!

HAPPY PIT BULL is a rendition of a customer’s pet. Although pit bulls are not my favorite breed, I’m loving them more now that I have this sweetie. I love this image so much, I put it on the back of a shirt. No one will mess with me now.

Howdy!!!! 

It's been a while again since I last wrote and for not doing much, a lot has occurred.

Last month my daughter went and had a surgery which cancer was detected, ovarian  cancer.  Not was I had (endometrial) but then I was told the type of cancer I had was not genetic. Fortunately the type she had does not spread and they had taken her ovaries and the cancer with it. What a great relief, I did not want her to have to through what I had.

So pretty much of January and first couple of weeks ...

I’ve had so much fun all month designing Halloween Gnomes. I know how much you love paper pieced gnomes, and so do I! After finishing 12 new Halloween blocks, I have put them into my latest quilt pattern.

Mystical Friends by Denise Russell

I made two projects featuring these magical creatures and I am so happy with how they turned out! The first is this baby quilt called Mystical Friends. It measures 36″ x 43″ and the blocks finish at 6″. I used fabrics from the Story Time collection by American Jane for Moda Fabrics. I love making bright-colored quilts for babies!

As summer approaches, I am anticipating playing my newest passion in the park, Pickleball. All winter I have beaten the blues by socializing with 8 friends at indoor pickleball, while wearing masks.
