What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

This morning, I was up and moving. I wanted to go downstairs for a while today, but there was too much cleaning that needed to be done. I got laundry going, cleaned the litter box and then got busy in the kitchen. Debbie said she'd be here, and Patrick said he wanted to go shopping. 

After all the cleaning was done, I headed downstairs since Debbie wasn't here yet. I thought I would just try something else.

This morning, was a quiet morning. Patrick was up before me and watching TV, usually it's the other way around. I have just been sleeping in later. But today I didn't get much sleep last night, so I still got up earlier than usual. 

We were having breakfast when we received a text that Uncle Bob passed away. I didn't take it as bad as I thought I might. It's sad, but because we didn't get a long all that well, it wasn't as sad as Dad and Uncle Bill. I felt guilty I ...

This morning, I surprised myself by going back to sleep when Patrick went to take a shower. I was going to get up before he did, but laid there. Then when I woke again it was 30 minutes later. 

Patrick went golfing and told me to be ready to go when he got home. I cut backing and batting for Colleen, cut fabric for Georgie, washed the backing, and baked a cake for Patrick. I also sent emails to the veterans who are to receive a quilt to let them know it would be about 4-6 months. Once all that ...

This morning woke to frost in the yard. It didn't go away till around noon. We had fog pretty much till noon as well. 

I woke at 3:30 am and couldn't sleep for a good 1 1/2 hours. So, I just tried to think of something else then what my brain was on. I finally got up around 8 am. 

We had a war game going against another kingdom. So, I was able to play. It worked out great. I got the points I wanted to get, and I held one of the towers. My leader ...

Today I enjoyed sleeping in. Patrick even got up before me. Then I sat and enjoyed my breakfast and playing games. 

Then Patrick and I went through our Kitchen cabinets. We pulled everything out and then checked everything to see if they expired. Of course, some did. Found a spice that had 2009 on it. We were able to get rid of a lot of stuff. Then we rearranged the cabinets to work for us. Took stuff of the counters and put them in the cabinets for more room. My baking stuff is by my tea, since I do both ...

 This morning I was up and enjoying the morning, till Patrick got up 30 minutes later. I like to have time to myself for a bit, but oh, no, not today. 

He started going out to the garage and pulling out our Christmas decorations. OMG! I wasn't in the mood to do that just yet. Not only that, he insisted yesterday he wanted me to make pretzels this weekend. OH, where was I? Thinking I could pick when to make them, OH, NO! He wanted them today! Then I wanted to work on the laundry as it was getting ...

 Patrick and I enjoyed sleeping in. 

Since I didn't do much of anything yesterday, I didn't bother posting. It was one of those days that I didn't feel like doing anything.  I did listen to my book on tape.  And I sat and played games.

This morning I got busy cleaning. I started laundry before walking 7 laps. I wanted to stop at 6 laps but told myself I needed this walk. 

Came in and got back to cleaning. Got the dishwasher unloaded. Then sat to play games and play my games.

Patrick went golfing and I cleaned the kitchen by putting clean dishes away. Emptied the dishwasher and got laundry going. Walked 6 laps.

Patrick got home and loadep the truck with garage. We drove into town for the dump. Then we went to get the truck washed. 

Came home and I worked on my bracelet.  I am almost finished with it. 

I put the snaps on, but need more room.

I need to take this out and add a string of beades so the bar will work in the circle.  At this point I will do that tomorrow.  Then it ...

This morning,  I was up and playing my games. Ron called outside our yard, to let me know he was waiting on me. He was chatting with his son on the phone, the whole time. We only did 3 laps today because it was so hot.

Patrick wasn't doing good today, so he slept most of the day. I went into the computer room to clean up my pile from the vacation. 

I pulled out my beading boxes and added the new stuff to it. My mystery box beads were put in tubes and filed in the boxes.

Today, I walked with Ron, and we got our 6 laps in. Then I came in and got to work on the downstairs. I wanted to clean it up for while we are gone. I just like coming home to a clean room. So, I pulled the vacuum out and got to work. It's a lot better now.  Then I went and decided on what clothes I am bringing. The suitcase is full! I need to get it down. I was able to change my mind on a couple things and it got it down but not sure if ...

This morning, I was up and playing games. I was expecting company, so I needed to vacuum and get a few things done. Laundry went in, and dishwasher was ran. 

Connie arrived around 11 am. She dropped off 4 quilts that were ready for bindings. I gave them to Patrick to take to moms, since he had to go up to Olympia for blood tests. I stayed home to do some other stuff. While she was here, we talked about the quilt top I was thinking of doing. 

 This morning I was up and got moving right away. I vacuumed the house, got laundry going and then took a break. I was still moving on washing and cleaning when Patrick arrived. He was off golfing. I was surprised I didn't even touch the tablet till after everything was done. Once Patrick got home, I walked my 7 laps. 

Came in and then sat to play for awhile. Then I remembered my list on the counter, and went to cancel my ancestry account. While I was at it, I wanted to move my Family Tree Maker to the ...

 Today I didn't want to get up. Mostly because my reflex decided to keep me up. I had a hard time getting to sleep much. 

Then it was a day of this and that. I worked on the water system bookkeeping to close out 2023. I needed Patrick's help because I had the books a little off. It's now balanced, and the year is closed out. If I ever get audited, then everything is good to go.  Then I vacuumed (with a little help from Patrick). He did laundry and I folded the clothes.

This morning I decided to go to my Brazilian Embroidery meeting. 

Before I even got out the door - 

Our meeting was just Sandy and me. We had such a good time! I didn't take anything to work on, but we chatted the whole time. I did work on getting my word chart done for the Christmas ornaments for this year. I need to get those done so I can start working on them. I will do more later.

 This morning I was up early and out the door with 10 quilts to go to the museum. I headed to moms first, stopping at Dutch Brothers for coffee and tea. 

Arrived around 10 am and Nancy wasn't there yet. She forgot she told me 10 but told mom 11. They were making Rosettes today. So, I helped with that. Got the batter going, worked on getting the rosettes to come off the irons. We finally figured it out. Then Debbie called saying she was done sooner than she thought she would be.

 Today Patrick was out the door for golfing and I slept for another hour before getting up. Then I played some games I haven't had the chance to over the last 4 days. 

Today was a day to get caught up. So, I got laundry started. Finished listening to a book. Then I worked on trying to think of what I wanted to work on. That didn't get me very far at all. 

Patrick got home from golfing and we worked on our Christmas cards. We ordered 20 of them, since we haven't been getting very many ...

 This morning started out pretty good. I started (yep - started) laundry. Then I got moving and vacuumed the house. It was in need after all. Then I sat down planning to work on my beading. BUT Sophie was having none of that and got in my lap. There she slept for 2 1/2 hours. I could have made her get up, but it felt nice and warm on my lap that I didn't want to move. lol

My phone buzzed around 3:30 and Patrick asked if I had my meeting today. Of course I did! Right in ...

This morning I slept till 10 am! What a shock! I have been doing that more lately and for some reason when I was showering, I wondered if that is because my body is fighting off the cancer. Probably not, but it was a thought.  Then my mind wondered again on this. My biopsy "spot" hasn't quite healed. It's still there like a cut that doesn't want to heal. It is still a little tinder but not enough to worry about. AND of course, my mind wondered again - what if that biopsy put a hole in the ...

This morning I forgot it was daylight savings time. Till I saw it on TV. lol 

I got moving first with my cleaning. Had to get the cat litter box cleaned, then get laundry going.  Checked my lists on the counter (from last night) reminding me what I needed to do today. First things first, I had to go for my walk. I walked about 1 1/2 miles. I stopped at 5 laps. Just had too much on my plate. 

Texted Sandy and Cindy to let them know I wouldn't be going to the meeting tomorrow. Then explained ...

 This morning I was running a little slow. I didn't want to get up but I did. Then I had to get moving to moms. Stopped at Phil's to give him more veggies. Then I went to Dutch Brothers for Chai tea for both mom and me. 

When I arrived we worked on getting the table set up for the quilt. Then we cleaned the floor so that there wasn't any dirt. The last thing we needed to do was clean the quilt and have it get dirty again by the floor. We worked on a couple ...
