Tech Know Quilters Masters Challenge - Design Your Own T Shirt

​Many of us have made quilts designed from old T Shirts.  Maybe like this design from my T Shirt and Panel Quilt class. ​But what if we reversed the concept -- and took a quilt we designed in EQ8 and transferred it to a T Shirt? Today was another one of those days where I could sleep in if I wanted, but it didn't happen. Ron was volunteering at the food bank today, so we didn't go walking. Patrick and I walked instead. It's a good walk where we chat about stuff we don't normally chat about.

 So sorry for my tardiness lately bloggy friends.  I have caught a little something that has worn me out this past week.  I have also been working long long hours as well.  Two more days of school next week and I will be free for a couple of months!  Yay Yay!

This grab and go sewing supplies kit is something that I take every time I sew. No matter if it’s sewing local or long distance (think quilt retreat) I have all my favorite supplies with me.

It has saved me a few times because I have extras. Extra bobbins, needles, thread, and random things. Today we get to take a look inside.

 I finally see the orthopedist this week for my continuing arm pain, attributed to a rotator cuff tear by my primary care doctor. While I believe that this doctor will want to do surgery, I have misgivings about that. My last surgery, a redo on my left thumb, only took 14 minutes according to the post-op report but I still came close to stroking out. This despite telling all and sundry that I didn't react well to anesthesia and that the problem seemed to get more dire the more surgeries I had.

 Spring has arrived in the desert. The mesquite has leafed out. The buzzards have returned. Baby calves are on the ground. And branding season is in full swing. That means I am in the kitchen, cooking for a crew. Yesterday I had 20.

 Back to quilting.  After my mishap, it was slow going to return to working in the sewing room. Since I could only piece, I began two more projects. One is a scrappy star quilt and one is a square in a square. And then I bought the latest issue of Quilter's World and a third quilt block was started. There are so many very nice quilts in this issue that I think I'll have a lot of ideas
