Because I wanted to make dryer balls, I grabbed a box of roving. I estimated I could make several with this box.
I wanted some colors so I added in ... read more
Time to finish our wool stitch along project. I hope you had time to get your bases done with the apple appliques and buttons. Today we finish it off with a bit of embroidery and some seed beads. When we left off, we were here.
Get out your floss and beads, finding some green to match your leaves, along with red and gold seed beads. If you don’t have seed beads, you can do french knots with the appropriate color floss for a similar look.
Place the piece on a countertop. Center a Mason jar ring on the wool ...

I had a finish this week which makes me happy, and, helps with the yearly stash numbers.
At open sew, yesterday, someone, surprised me with a quilt top that she had made with fabric that I had donated last month. First of all, the turnaround time was impressive, and, the fact, that she knew it was my fabric donation. It makes it much easier to let go of my precious fabric knowing someone will enjoy it. She has plans to add a border, too, from some of it.

I am working on an older ufo called spoolin around. I found the pink I wanted for the setting triangles in my stash, but, I couldn't find a green I like with it for the border. I went through everything on the shelves. anything, I liked I did not have a large enough piece. I have a million yards of fabric, how could I not have what I needed? I checked my back up storage, ahem, yes it is a real thing. Still nothing. I even tried to change colors. So, I repeated the process with blues. I had ...
read moreI didn't buy any new fabric this week. I did find a pile of leftover fabric from my Kristal quilt, and thought I should decide what to do with it, since, I didn't want to put it away. haha
I haven't added anything new this week to my fabric stash. I have cut some scraps from trimming quilts. I cut some 4 1/2 inch squares from cream for an older ufo of shirts.

I added a bright yellow and clear blue to the stash. I don't really need 2 yards of each, but, missourri star is selling 2 yard or 3 yard cuts, and I like the colors and the price, so, I have more than I need, but, there are worse problems.

We had a great garage sale at our guild meeting. I sold 20 yards of fabric, and, probably bought more than that. One of our guild members was 97, and, just moved into an assisted living center. She gave us all that was left of her fabric. It is a pleasure to have some of her fabric in my stash. But, she kept her sewing machine and some supplies. you go girl. I bought a 2 gallon bag of fabric that I could fill myself at the sale. I concentrated on whites/creams.
I found another batch of neutrals hidden in a box. geesh I did cut several shirt quilts awhile back that will need a background. I expect I will start mass cutting those soon. But, I am not sure why the fabric plays hide and seek in boxes.
