Mystic Symbolic: the developening from Nina Paley

On January 27 I awoke with an idea for a mystic symbolic art generator. I immediately sketched copious notes and put out word I was looking for a coder to collaborate with. By some miracle, Atul Varma responded within an hour, which makes me believe this project really wants to exist.

My plans are vast and sprawling, so we’re starting simple. And by simple we mean bonkers:

Atul and I are on the same page regarding Free Software and Free Culture, so we’re both happy to share as we go along. You can generate your own strange images ...

Curiosity, Youtube & Asking Quora from Where Art & Life Meet

One of my favorite memories of spending time with one of my brothers, I have three, as a young girl was sitting in the field in front of our house discussing space. Creativity Abounds from From the Strawberry Patch...

We spent Christmas Eve day with our daughter and her family in the Capital City. Lucy Ann was eager to take me upstairs to their finished, converted attic space which has become her (and her brother's) play room. They do allow their father a secluded corner of the space for his work-from-home office.

Never underestimate the inspiration caused by a group project from Art and Quilting in Camden

Art should be like a holiday: something to give a man the opportunity to see things differently and to change his point of view. -Paul Klee, painter (18 Dec 1879-1940)

So I’m part of Mt. Battie Modern Quilt Guild, one of two local groups. This chapter, part of the MQG (Modern Quilt Guild) is the smaller of the two and is almost completely comprised of members of Coastal Quilters (the other group) which is part of the statewide Pine Tree Quilt Guild (Maine is the Pine Tree state). For once, I decided to participate in a round robin sort ...

Hard Times... from Sew Sunshine

abound right now so I am looking at today as a small win. I have not been sewing hardly at all in the last few months. My eyes and other issues have not been great. I am to the point right now where I feel I either do what I can while I can or quit. I don't want to quit. I have been able to read on my tablet with the lighting on it set to a mild bright.
Yay! That is progress. I decided since that was going pretty well I wondered what I could do in ...
