What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

Dawn over the mountain to the east this past week brought beautiful color with the clouds reflecting the sunrise glow. The quiet of the early morning is a nice time to enjoy a hot cup of coffee, just breathe, and plan the day.

Looking south, it is lovely to see the dark architecture of the bare tree limbs against the sky. Winter does have its own beauty.

The view into the valley continued the golden glow. The rain moved in shortly after and stuck around for two days.

I got my Thanksgiving cards done on time this year, whoopee! In a fit of stamping frenzy, I made a bunch one morning. Sometimes the inspiration is just there, and with the pretty new papers I got from Impression Obsession, and a score at a private sale, I had plenty. I got out some leafy prints, fall colors, stamps and inks.

I began with one of my favorite designs, a dark strip on the left with a large print offset to the side.

Using stamps to have some fall fun today, we are going to do several projects, and I also have an offer for someone. Small projects were the focus over the past couple of weeks as I haven’t had any big blocks of time available to get into the basement sewing and crafting room. What time I have had was devoted to getting things ready for the quilt show, and that included deciding what I was willing to sell, then deciding on how much to ask. Each item now has one of my cards with a price on it, hanging from a green cord. All total, I’ll have 18 quilts, placemat sets and table runners for sale.
