It's all about the photos! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

I have ONE last photo to share with you for Route 66. I met Neil when we cycled across Canada in 2013. We stayed in touch with social media. He's retired and is an amazing photographer. A while back, I had posted my progress on Facebook, and he alluded to a great photo he was going to post when I finished. Well, here's the photo!!!

Me at the End of the Trail for Route 66

Isn't that hilarious! He photoshopped me from one photo where I held a sign as we entered a province (I think it ...

Putter, putter, putter from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

I finished my last two presentations for the week yesterday. It's so much fun to chat with the ladies from across the country. I get to hear what's happening, and it sounds like Winnipeg is going to shut down starting Monday - similar rules to what we have in the Ontario hot spots.

I just won't go there as I'm so frustrated with the entire picture. We went out to dinner last night. We were so far apart from other people, plexiglass between the booths, people wearing masks and handwashing - that it's crazy to think that ...

A little help from my friends from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Have you ever noticed how some days in your house are calm, and others are totally chaotic? Yesterday was a chaotic day. I had two people picking up stuff, so I had to make sure that it was ready for them. The crew was here to close the pond, and that required some conversations with them. Then I had two presentations which weren't chaotic as I was the one in control of that. But all those little time commitments, well, it makes for a chaotic day!

Today, I have two more presentations, but nothing else. It's going to ...

Retail Therapy from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

I'm happy to report that yesterday was a much better day than the previous day.

While the boomerang project is still on my plate, a good portion of it got cleaned up yesterday, and that was great. Now that the new formula is figured out, the rest of it should much quicker. I'm not big on change - OK - I don't really mind change, but it takes a while to figure out how to work with the change.

That change was part of the problem - I struggled with that. But all is good now. I've got a ...

Just do it!! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Back in November, we had our final show and tell for the Lilla quilt. This was our year-long class at Oh Look Fabric. I made all the blocks, but decided to make two lap-sized quilts instead of one huge one. One of the tops got sewn together for that final class and it even got quilted. If you scroll down that post to where I talked about my quilt that was quilted with wavy lines, I was on the fence about adding more quilting.

The quilt has been on my list of quilts to quilt since November - and basically, it ...

Zippers from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

So it's cold outside! This is what the temperature reading was on my car when I arrived at the gym this morning. Oops - now you can see how crazy I am and what time I arrived. Actually, I was late arriving as it took a bit of time to chisel the ice off my windshield.

It's cold outside!

Well, it's been colder and it's colder in other parts of the country. If you dress for it - it's never cold. Technically, I'm not even wearing a winter coat. It's called a down sweater by ...

Sample Making from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

While I don't have a lot to show for what I did yesterday, I did make great leaps and bounds in getting stuff done. A new pattern is written, the assembly diagram was created and now I just have to proofread the pattern this morning before it goes out the door.

There never seems to be any lack of computer work that needs to be done. Whether it's a quilt to be designed, a pattern to write, and now that I've added all this design work in PREMIER+ ECQ that I could potentially embroider - well, there's ...

A progress report from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

I'm happy to report that loads of progress happened yesterday. I'm not sure why yesterday was different from other days, but that's OK - I took advantage of the situation.

It started off with Ronda coming over to do some embroidery. Not because she needed an embroidery machine, but she needed a specific hoop size. I say call up the shop and order one of each Please!!  You never seem to have the right hoop unless you have them all. I swear she bought that embroidery machine just to do sports logos. She's been having a blast ...
