From One Thing To Another from Quilting My Way

Today I was out the door by 9 am. Patrick wasn't doing well. I was a little worried about leaving him. I had to stop at a couple places and then make it to the grange. Colleen had a quilt for me, then I had to stop at Micheals for some floss. When I was done, Geralyn called to say McD's made a mistake and gave us sweet tea and could I pick up the other. So, I did.

We sat and chatted for a while. Alice stopped in. We gave her the sweet tea.

I took the ...

Getting A Few Things Done from Quilting My Way

Today was one of those days. I was in the mood to do a lot of stitching. I even made some bread for supper today.

This morning, I went downstairs to finish the quilt top that was on the floor. My next quilt is the one on the wall that Ann started.

Since I didn't need to do much but get the borders done, I worked on that. I'm glad I cut the border last time, so I didn't have to have a lot of work to do. I added the stars and then put it all ...

A Little Of This, A Little Of That from Quilting My Way

Today, Patrick headed to play golf, and I went downstairs to work on the quilt on the floor. Mom came over about the time I was squaring up Georgie's blocks.

Mom and I went through the stack of fabric for her to take some smaller pieces to cut for the variation 9-patch quilt. She likes that one and loves to do 9-patches. She also got some white and off-white fabric as well. I'm sure she will have a quilt in no time, just knowing her.

I was thinking before she came that I would put a challenge to ...

Worked On A Couple Things Today from Quilting My Way

Seems like I'm getting back to working on stuff. Geralyn called and asked if I wanted a ride to the grange. Told her I would, and we went to get iced tea at McD's.

We then went to the grange and had a good visit, visiting all the way there and back too. She worked on her quilt, and I worked on my bonsai tree.

I got a little ahead of myself. I was able to get this far and stopped. I thought it was close to time to leave - it wasn't. So, I added more. I ...

I Finished Another Quilt Top from Quilting My Way

Today, I was up and cleaning. Then I decided to go downstairs and work on the quilt top before we headed to the play in Centralia.

I was able to get the center area almost done before we left at 1 pm.

We went to Panda for supper. I got a birthday promotion that I used. We finally got back home around 5:30 pm.

I decided I wanted to keep the reds on one side and the blue on the other. So, when we got home, I went downstairs and worked on finishing this. First, I had to take ...

Was Busier Then Normal Today from Quilting My Way

Today, was a quiet day. Didn't have anything planned for, other than my game. I played it and then I went downstairs to work on getting Patrick a hot/cold bag like the one we had that needs to be replaced. I didn't realize how big I made it and had a heck of a time with the rice. I did get it done and kind of wish I had made it smaller.

It has a pocket as well. I believe it's 16" square. He didn't need one that big. Plus, it's heavy! I put ...

Collecting Fabrics From A Dear Friend from Quilting My Way

This morning, I walked with Ron for 3 laps. Good thing it wasn't more. I was beat by the end of the day.

Before heading to meet mom, I went downstairs and put the fabric away that was on the floor.

The room is ready for more when I get it.

It's FULL and I know I will need to add more. Nancy said they got 2 carloads of QOV fabric in the garage. That will be for another day.

I went to meet up with mom and Nancy at Oakview Grange. Then we went to Ann Busby ...

Another PLANNED Day That Got Messed Up from Quilting My Way

This morning, I was up and enjoying my time for a bit. Unfortunately, Patrick got up shortly after and wanted to remind me of things I said I would do.

My plan today was to get downstairs and work on getting the quilt done. Instead, I sat upstairs till 1 pm watching a Paul Newman movie. Then went downstairs to get started.

I was working on the quilt about an hour or so, when mom called to ask what I was doing. After telling her, she decided to come over and get some help on a design she wanted to ...

Quilters Day from Quilting My Way

This morning Patrick helped me get set up for the QOV quilters.  I was getting worried when the hadn't arrived by 9:50 am. Once one arrived they started coming in. We had 6 of us today.

Gail is a member and first timer. It worked out great. Connie,  Kristi,  Val and Gail sewed in the room with the fabrics.  Debbie and I moved around.  I was cutting and ironing most of the day. Debbie made one block. Then she started helping me out.

Of course I forgot to take pictures,  till everyone left. This is were they sewed ...

Getting Back On Track from Quilting My Way

This morning,  I was up early.  Had to get my stuff together for our meeting. Patrick was up and got the veggies from the garden for me to take to mom and the gals.

I headed to the PO to drop off my recycling stuff for Oral B. Found out I needed to go to Staples because the label was for UPS. I ended up waiting 10 mins before I could hand it over.

Arrived to find Alice and Sandy there. Gave Sandy the kits I got fir her and the porcupine quills.

I was able to get this much ...

Applique Day Today from Quilting My Way

This morning I needed to go to drop off Sandy's stuff she gave us for the fair. I wanted to make sure she got it before we left.

Then I headed to moms. I didn't stay long. Didn't even get lunch with then. I did give them all the cucumbers from the garden. Had to pick them before we left. I had a whole one yesterday that was really good. Mom had a lot of sweets out and of course; I couldn't pass those up! I try, but that darn Norwegian blood of mine can't ...

Got To Work Today! from Quilting My Way

This morning Katt called. So, Ron and I didn't go walking. He had family coming and I was messing with my game. I needed to get the entries to the fair done as well. I'm ready to take them in this week.

After things calmed down in the game, I headed downstairs to get a few things done. Once I got started, I kept going. First, I cut backing and batting for 2 quilts. Then I washed the backings. I have those ready to go to Colleen along with some panels.

Once all that was done, I decided ...

Ripping Out More Than Putting In from Quilting My Way

This morning, I was up early and just enjoying the day. We had a "war" going on in the game, so I was ready when the time came.

Once that was over with, I cleaned up the kitchen and then went walking with Ron. We got 5 laps in. He thought we weren't walking today.

I seriously needed to do something other than game playing. So, I went downstairs, put my earbuds in and listened to my book. Finished it actually.

I worked on getting this finished. Or at least I thought I was working to get it finished ...

Trying To Stay Cool - And Still Quilt from Quilting My Way

This morning, I went out early to pick blueberries. I was able to get 4 cups. I didn't clean them up yet, but I will tomorrow.

After that, Ron called, and I told him we would wait till later today. By that time, it would be cooler - so I thought. We reached 106 degrees at 6 pm - so I know we were closer to 110 degrees today. When he did call at 7:30 pm, it was still too hot to go walking. Told him we will wait till Thursday to go out and walk.

I headed downstairs. I ...

A Quick Day At Moms from Quilting My Way

It was quilting Friday today. I headed over to moms at 8:30 am to get there in time to play my war game. It was an hour long, and mom was trying to get me to do a lot of stuff for her. I told her I was busy. She wasn't happy with me. There were 5 of us today.

I worked on the block I have been working on there.

Finished the flower bud. I have 3 more to go. It went fast. I was thrilled to get 4 petals done.

Carmen finished her quilt. The blocks ...

Boring Day - from Quilting My Way

This morning, I was up and playing games. I was expecting company, so I needed to vacuum and get a few things done. Laundry went in, and dishwasher was ran.

Connie arrived around 11 am. She dropped off 4 quilts that were ready for bindings. I gave them to Patrick to take to moms, since he had to go up to Olympia for blood tests. I stayed home to do some other stuff. While she was here, we talked about the quilt top I was thinking of doing.

I was trying to decide which color I liked better with the ...

Still Pain, But I Did Finish The Top from Quilting My Way

This morning I was up before Patrick. Then I went walking with Ron.

This is where we turn around and walk back. It was so pretty to see the blue sky and clouds. I should have gotten closer for the photo, but I just love how the clouds and sky work together.

Came back in the house and figured it was time for me to go down and get a few things done. I needed to get the quilt top done and off.

I trimmed the sides, because it was way too wide. But now it will work. Patrick liked ...
