Has it gotten hot where you are? This weekend we hit 90 for the first time this summer, way too hot for me! Still, it is better than some in the heartland and southwest are enduring. Lucky for us, the mountains do cool off at night, so the mornings are quite comfortable, as are the late evenings when the sun is going down. It has been a whirlwind this past 10 days, as we traveled up to Ohio to be a part of my brother-in-law’s wedding. His bride is such a lovely woman, and we already adore her. She was absolutely radiant, in a gorgeous blue lace floor length gown. Honestly, I have never seen my husband’s brother look happier in all the years I’ve known him. He has found a rare and wonderful love that was so special to witness. Their wedding was a joyous occasion, and we were honored to be a part of it. On the way ...

Memorial Day weekend is coming fast, and it is time to dig out the patriotic bin and decorate with red, white and blue. Today, I’d like to show you a range of ideas to set your holiday table for a cookout, or a nice dining room for a more elegant gathering of family and friends. Tables don’t have to be expensive, these sprays came from the dollar store, and the candles are my Mason Jar candles. I change out what is in the bottom to coordinate with the color scheme of the table.
