What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

 The day started out with me stopping at McD's for tea and coffee. Then on the way to the grange. I arrived to find Sandy II there. She came from Ocean Shores. We had a good chat and I showed her the piece I was working on for the guide. She helped me with what I needed to do. Trouble was, I didn't realize there wasn't instructions for the small flower. Which meant I was on my own. 

We sat and chatted for awhile before Sandy I came in. A half hour later Cindy arrived.

 This morning I had to get a few things done before taking time to bead. I had to get laundry going, put dishes away, and clean the bathroom. 

Patrick was golfing. Then he came back and got supper started. While he was out at the BBQ, he brought in the tomatoes from the garden. 

Once all that was done, I decided to sit and bead.

Today we got up, dropped off some stuff at Phil's, then to Fuller's for donuts. We decided to have breakfast  on the way to moms. 

We were taking mom up to Olympia to get a new dishwasher. When we got there, we tried to get a break in cost, but the guy wouldn't go down. It's fine because it was on sale already. She decided on the cheapest one, because she didn't need all the bells and whistles. It's a nice one. I like the new ones where it will do special water cleaning ...

This morning I was out the door before getting breakfast. Not supposed to do that! lol I headed to Sandy's to give her sister Jeannette a Birthday card before she headed back to Canada. She was leaving shortly after I left. We had a good chat and enjoyed visiting. I would have gone over sooner but they went to Packwood over the weekend.

 This morning we were up and ready to head out the door. We picked up chicken yesterday, so we had our cooler full of lunch stuff. Katt's potato salad was the best!

It's a 2 hour drive from our place. The cost was $30 for the car load. We all agreed it was worth the cost. We can go back for 7 days. Don't think we will, too busy. 

 Yesterday Patrick came up with the idea to take a road trip to the ocean. We decided to go. I was thrilled because I haven't been to the beach in ages! We left around 10 am. 

It was a good ride. We chatted about different things. Stopped and got ice cream for lunch. Yum!!

We walked up to the birds. Patrick kept walking closer to them and they got up and walked toward the water. They didn't run and fly, just walked away. It was comical!

 This morning was cleaning up. We got the house clean and ready for our friends, Nick and Joanne. Once the house was clean, we worked on relaxing before they got here. 

They were early this time. It was nice. We played dominoes for awhile and Nick won. Then we had supper - steak, corn on the cob, fruit salad, and beans. When supper was over, we enjoyed the deck for awhile till it got just a little too cool to be out there. Came back in and played Rummicube (sp). Of course Patrick had to win that one.

This morning I had to get a few more things done before going to moms. First on the list was cleaning up the kitchen and kitty litter. Then it was going on the computer and getting things worked out for QOV. I had to print out some labels, send reimbursement forms, and send a tax form. I spent 2 hours on the computer getting things going for QOV. Called Nancy to see about the 4th. We are doing 4 veterans. Once all that was done, I vacuumed and loaded the car. Mom called to say the vet called to say ...

This morning I heard Patrick leave early for more blood tests. I got up and showered to find he was back already. 

He headed to golf and I headed to moms. We planned to find a Hawaiian pattern for Bob who is our physical therapist. Mom thought it was out in the garage....NOPE. We ended up cleaning out 2 tubs of stuff. Fabric and other stuff. I brought home 2 rulers that she wasn't needing. I think one of them was mine anyway. We then went into the spare bedroom closet and there were photos of my 2nd ...

 Another day done. Hard to believe how fast things go, and at other times how slow it goes. Today was a little of both. There were times it seemed slow, other times like the time flew by. Go figure. 

Woke up to more snow. 

More snow all over. 

 This morning I was up and moving. I looked out the window and there was SNOW! Love the stuff! We had a small amount yesterday, but this morning there was a good inch or two. 

We got moving on putting more stuff away. Getting rid of stuff. Getting laundry going....oops, behind on that. 

Then I had to get my water bills out. I'm still working on that. It took all afternoon to get my books up to date. I boxed up stuff that was over 7 years old. I now have a "current" and "old" box for the ...

 This morning I slept in - really slept in! I must have slept a good 10 to 11 hours. It felt good, but about 3 pm I wanted to take a nap! I would have if the neighbor hadn't showed up. lol 

We didn't do much today. I played a game - that one that challenges on the weekend. I did work on laundry since I had some from the trip and what we left behind. Sophie was glad we were back and she wanted to make sure we knew she was there. I sat with her most of the ...

 Sorry. Saturday I had nothing to show. Sunday (yesterday) was cleaning the house. We were getting ready to have a clean house to come home to. Can you believe I actually put my stuff away?! No worries,  I will pull them out when I get back. 

Bowling was last night. What an awful night of bowling! We did get 2 games. My awful games were 138, 158, and 135. So much for a high average. I beat Patrick on the first one, then he kicked my butt.

 This morning I really didn't want to get up, but I did. Today is the day to honor those who have passed. That would be my dad, my great Uncle, and my great great grandfather, Among others. 

We didn't have anything planned for today, so Patrick worked out in the yard and I beaded. 

I was able to get another 4 rows done. It's coming along great. I'm getting closer to that last 100 rows. 

I took a walk around the yard to see what we have out there.

 Today I woke up coughing. So, I was up and ready to go. Played games till Patrick got up. 

I got to work on the laundry again. Then I taught I would work on my beading. About that time mom called and while I was chatting with her, I saw the Rhodes in the front yard. 

All the Rhodes are really full this year. I love the purple ones on the side of the house and will take a photo of that one later. It's just starting to bloom. This one is always one of the first ones in ...

 This morning I was up and ready to go out for breakfast like I have done the last 2 years. This year, Starbuck only had a free drink or food for my Birthday. In the past it was both a drink and a sandwich. So, I decided to have breakfast at home. 

We stopped and got my drink on the way to get some flowers outside of Mossyrock. I picked up Patrick's drink and mine in the pouring rain. He was getting gas. They messed up my order, so I had to wait a little longer then usual. 

 This morning I woke with a headache. I started out with getting a coke and drinking coke all day to help kill the headache. It works for me. I usually don't drink coke unless we go out to eat. 

So, here's my list - 

Did I want to work on my beading? - No not interested. 

Did I want to work on my quilt? - No not interested.

Did I want to play on the computer for a new beading pattern? - Nope, not interested.

Did I want to clean house? - Nope not even.

 This morning I was playing a few games before getting moving. 

When I did get moving, Patrick wanted to go for a walk to the golf course. I joined him. We chatted along the way. It was a nice walk. I've started to walk with him when I can. Yesterday he went walking while I was at moms. 

I worked on my new computer after Patrick got it all set up for me. He's organized my files, and I like it. I didn't like have duplicate stuff. This way all my documents are on a file on ...

 Before I start blogging, I wanted to thank everyone who sent their best wishes and prayers. Patrick is doing great. He's been walking around the hospital. The nurses and doctors are amazed at how he's been feeling and looking. I talked to him twice today. 

The morning started out with texts. I got up and played a few games before sitting down for beading. I didn't get far with my phone going off - been doing that yesterday and today. No peace when it comes to the phone.

This morning we were out the door by 4:15 am. We all piled into the van and headed to UW Cancer Care Alliance. Patrick arrived at the hospital for his check in. We couldn't go in. Family and friends are not allowed due to Corona Virus. We all hugged him and wished him well. I walked him to the door and then turned back to the van. 

Katt, Susan and I headed to breakfast. The plan was to stay in the area to make sure he was okay during and after surgery. We headed to the closest I-Hop ...
