FREE Face Mask Sewing Tutorial with Hair Ties & Size Options from Fat Quarter Shop's Jolly Jabber

It’s time to come together and use our gift of sewing to pay it forward during these difficult times. We have come up with a FREE tutorial for you to make a face mask out of our favorite precut, Jolly Bars! However this project can be made using any of your scraps in hopes that you can use it or donate to those in need. Since elastic has been in short supply, this one uses hair ties, which you might have at home. The double layer of fabric creates an opening for inserting a filter for added protection.

Honey Buns & Free Pattern Fun from Life in the Scrapatch

This Mini Moda Honey Bun has been in my stash for a long time.

I have no idea how it came to be in my stash.

Honey Buns typically include 40 strips of fabric but can vary,
like my mini roll which has 20 strips.

This little honey bun came out of my stash for a photo today
because I saw this cute

There was thankfulness that we still get together to share ...

Bursting My Buttons from Sew'n Wild Oaks Quilting Blog

Hello Everyone,

My buttons are bursting.....not from too much food over the Holidays.....but from the fact that I can finally tell you my Country Courthouse quilt is going to be featured in QuiltMania magazine this year!

I submitted a picture to the magazine last July, and I was notified in August that it was accepted for publication.

The nerves set in immediately after acceptance, because I had to either have it quilted or do it myself.  I spoke with an award-winning professional quilter, Jill Schumacher, and she said this quilt should be completely stitched in the ditch ...

Good Morning
Giving thanks for the Sunrise

... and the fabric.

Of course there is fabric!

This is

I bought my "have to have it"  fat quarter bundle

The threads are to be an experiment with hand quilting a pillow.
They are

where I learned "Hidamari" means "Sunny Spot."
How perfect for my sunny scrapatch spot today!

I also bought these
my favorite online quilt shop.

Had To Have It Fabric ~ Painted Meadow from Life in the Scrapatch

This is

Isn't it gorgeous?

It has been a no sew day here.

has  brought late fall to my quilty corner.
The leaves are falling, falling, falling.
Our "getting the house and yard ready for winter" efforts are in full swing.
The yard swings will hopefully be put away by the end of the weekend.
The flower beds need to be winterized.
The to-do list is long and time is  suddenly short.
The storm windows need to be all in place.
The late fall has caught my ...

moda’s Stitch Pink from Moda Lissa

Hello all,

I had the opportunity to make a quilt block for the month-long series, Stitch Pink. My mom was a breast cancer survivor, so this cause is very near and dear to my heart. Anything that we can do to raise awareness. I am a big believer in positive thinking, and I am so addicted to any quilt block that is a plus sign. I couldn’t think of anything better when it came to making my block than to take my inspiration from my quilt in American Patchwork and Quilting’s June Issue.

All of our Stitch Pink ...
