All Things Crocheting: Hooked Fabrics from Art Gallery Fabrics-The Creative Blog

Welcome back friends,

Today has been a long time in the making, but the Hooked Fabric Lookbook is finally out! This collection by Mister Domestic is so sweet because he dedicates it to another handmade craft, crocheting! Whether you are a fan of crocheting or you want to dabble into it, this fabric collection gives you the opportunity to bring playful notions and colorful yarn prints right into your sewing machine.

One of my favorite things about fabric is texture. The number of quilts and projects I see every day on social media varies so much depending on the prints ...

An Almost Normal Day from Quilting My Way

This morning I slept in later than I have in a long time. It felt good for the first time in awhile.

I played for awhile. Then Patrick wanted to go to DeGautie's (sp) for flower pots. So, we took a trip out that direction. We came back with 5 hanging pots. They were really pretty. Came home and Patrick worked on getting them set up on the deck. It looks great out on the deck. He put the watering system going.

While Patrick was doing that, I was beading.

I'm now at 135/207 rows. It's ...

Changing Things Up Today - WooHoo! from Quilting My Way

Can you tell I lived near Washington State University??! The WooHoo! came from there.

Today we got moving. I put in some laundry that I just realized I forgot about. So, I need to move it to the dryer here when I get done.

I went and worked on my beading. Got a row in when we decided to head out to moms and drop off some newspapers (2 weeks worth), and a few other things. She had said yesterday she wanted to work on a puzzle, so I went down and got 2 puzzles for her.

We went to ...

Delightful Doilies and Linens from the Mid Atlantic Quilt Show from Telling Stories Through the Needle's Eye

A couple of weeks ago, Teri and I (Kara) were able to attend the Mid-Atlantic Quilt Show. We go there yearly, as it falls right before The Academy of Appliqué. It is a small show, but it usually has a great variety of quilts, and this year was no different. One exhibit in particular became our favorite, as it gave us lots of great ideas for our very large doily collection. This exhibit was created by Nancy S. Breland and was called Exploring Vintage Linens. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

It's A Finishing Day! from Quilting My Way

This morning I was getting ready for our meeting day. I had to get my floss box and take it with me to Brazilian Embroidery. I wanted to have it to figure out what colors I wanted to do for the "next" project. In other words, I was hoping to start another project after I finished my Roses in the Winter piece.

I got there around 10:15 am. Then we sat and talked about what classes we wanted to take for Seminar. I was happy to see Sandy wanted to take the same classes I did. I got all ...

As I Sit Here from Quilting My Way

This morning I was up and out the door. Stopped at Faye's to drop off the quilt top that I finished over the weekend. Then I went to Starbucks and picked up some tea for mom and I.

Arrived at moms house. We got a few things done for her and then started in on the quilt top for Mike. It keeps changing.

Still Keeping Busy from Quilting My Way

This morning was going strong. It's funny how things work out.

I met my son at Copy Depot at noon, then went to the Centralia Library to meet Sue, then was off to Safeway to pick a few things up.

Came back home and did laundry. I also ironed the batting for the QOV quilt. I've got everything ready to go for tomorrow. I have my doctors appointment at 10 am. So, I need to get moving early. Want to get to Sharon's by a quarter after 9 since it takes 30 mins to get to Kaiser ...
