Genealogy Day from Quilting My Way

This morning Patrick and I were up early and on our way to Olympia. Both of us needed blood tests done. So, we made a morning of it. Once we were done, we headed to our bowling partners place to pick up 2 dozen fresh eggs. Then we went to "Judy's" for breakfast. I had a cinnamon bread French toast while Patrick got my eggs and had some oatmeal. "Oats" actually.

Came home and I worked on my genealogy. I was able to add another 150 names to Patrick's family. I have a ton of papers in the ...

A Little Of This And That from Quilting My Way

Today was an interesting day. I was up after Patrick left for golfing. Then I played a few games while doing laundry. I needed to get the backing done for the 2 quilts that I have.

After lunch, I finally got moving. I went and cut the backing and batting of the 2 quilts. Then I washed the backings. Sharon called about the time I ironed them. I also had to get the certificates done for the honor of presenting quilts to the veterans. We will be doing that Saturday.

Then I played some more. Patrick got home and we ...

Cleaning The Last Of It Today from Quilting My Way

This morning we woke to the phone going off that Flooding is expected by tonight (which it is). We got both a text and a call telling us the river by us is in the flood watch and was expected to go over the river levels tonight. Patrick's bowling league canceled due to flooding in Centralia. We found out Jackson Hwy is flooded as well. Then the other road we use to get to the freeway was also closed. Debbie was lucky to get home when she did. (She picked up fabric for her QOV quilt)

Then we decided ...

Halloween preparations from Bizarre Quilter

I really love this cat, looks like very old artwork, with little moths... a special antiquity, and the colour too.

This moth has me gasping... so blooming gorgoeus. Phases of the moon, moth, herbs, eyes, crystals. I have no more to say! I have stitched this one in pink.

This raven is in green, and painted with green sparkles.

I see Poison Ivy. What do you see?

Took my little fella out to a special cake shop today...

creating those memories that we loved as a kid! So special!!

Ooh  I saw this dress in a handmade shop. Too small ...

New directions from Bizarre Quilter

Oh Tinkerbell! How gorgeous is this! Connecting to the inner child, but also connecting to wanderlust: the personal growth that comes from travel and exploration and experience! I've painted her wings so twinkly. She came up great, but I only bought one of these fabrics. So its first in, best dressed.

If you're into coffee and cats, this one is for you. Some people are buying these textile art pieces to hang behind them while they run online zooms, or classes or workshops, to show what they are all about, and act as conversation starters. That makes total ...

I get shivers from Bizarre Quilter

Ooh! I get shivers from this magickal money cat! It's so much more sparkly and beautiful in real life! I wish you could see how good it looks.

This crystal bee is a deadset favourite. I bought 5 fabric prints, but I can see I need to order another 5 already.

I will need to keep one for myself.

What an interesting card draw!!

Saraswati, goddess of music, knowledge and teaching.

Ahhh, maybe this is the vampire witch. She is wearing a red cloak, and there are bats in the background. Maybe there are more than one vampire in ...

Able To Cross Stitch With All This Snow from Quilting My Way

Another day done. Hard to believe how fast things go, and at other times how slow it goes. Today was a little of both. There were times it seemed slow, other times like the time flew by. Go figure.

Woke up to more snow.

More snow all over.

Plenty to go around!

Now remember, we went out in the truck (behind the car). That's how much more snow we got. Even the mail lady didn't show up today. That's twice this week that she didn't deliver the mail.

We cleaned up a few more things before ...

Moths and cats from Bizarre Quilter

This one really shook my world. What is it about moths? They have big fluffy antennae that are sensitive to change and vibration and smell, and this faery is riding a moth, and together they are heading for the moon. So many symbols in one place!! I have a couple of these printed onto fabric. I might have to order more. This one really speaks.

Oh Frida! I remember being young and wondering who this woman was, that one could find on tshirts and whatnot, and now I don't wonder who she is, I wonder why I didn't ...

advent time . . . from Count it *all* JOY!

Once upon a time there was a blogger who was participating in an online Advent calendar blog hop with Jo at Serendipitous Stitching, but she got her dates mixed up and didn't realize her date was the 20th (instead of the 22nd) until she hopped over to check out today's feature.

It was me. I'm that blogger. Glad I made the realization before noon (CST)!

This year, Jo, who so graciously hosts this annual hop, has asked participants to share about their Christmas tree traditions!  This is an easy one for me!

Growing up, and even well ...

Waiting To Finish Flooring from Quilting My Way

This morning we were busy with vacuuming the floors. I swept the kitchen and dinning room floors as well. We then vacuumed all the way down the hall. I got our room vacuumed. We dusted the window sill and the heater. At least they were halfway clean.

We then hooked the TV up. Then we put the railing back in place. At least that didn't take long. Once all that was done we headed out the house. First stop was JR Furniture. We picked up a night stand that was on sale. Patrick even got another $20 off it ...

Went To The Movies from Quilting My Way

This morning I was up before Patrick. No plans were planned. So, we sat around in the morning, while I played games.

At about 11:30 am we decided to go to the movies. We watched "Encanto." It was really good. We were the first to get there, then more came into the theater. One family came just as the movie started and sat behind us. I really, really wanted to get up and move. I hate it when there is a whole theater to sit in and they decide to sit in front or behind me. Behind is worse ...

Another Golfing Day - For Patrick from Quilting My Way

I find that I like it when Patrick goes golfing. I can find so much to do. I actually get stuff done too. Today wasn't any different.

It started out with getting laundry going. I am happy to say, I did all three loads! Then I got a call from Debbie asking if I knew anyone who had a sewing machine they might like to sell cheap or give away. I told her, "I do." I also told her it would be donated to the HS student she told me about. I am happy to donate it to her ...

We Finally Had Another Meeting from Quilting My Way

This morning I was out the door by 9 am. I had to stop at the bank to get our account open for the bowling league. Man! It's been one pain after another, but it's finally done. I went in to find out I needed Rick to sign some more papers, so I called him to see if he would come in and sign. He said he would. I couldn't make the deposit till he did. So, at least I had the account set up! Brought the deposit back with me.

Next stop was at McD's ...

Golfing Day - My Day from Quilting My Way

Today I wasn't in the mood to do anything! So, I watched my shows that were taped. Then I mopped around. Debbie stopped by to pick up her batting and backing for the quilts. As for me, I took awhile to get moving. Decided FINALLY at 2 pm to go for a walk.

Since Patrick was gone all day, I had the day to myself. Not a good thing some times. When I came back from walking I decided I better do something. So, I sat down to bead.

I was able to get 5 more rows in before ...

Day To Myself - Mostly from Quilting My Way

Today Patrick was up at 7 am and out the door to golf. That left me the whole day - explain as I go.

So, first things first - what do I want to do today?! Not much.... Okay, play games till I decide. Sophie wanted her attention - so she got it. Then lunch time came around and I got lunch. Decided I would get some beading in. Not much but will work on it.

I got in another 6 rows. Patrick got home when I was on the last 6th row. I decided to call it quits.

Patrick and I watched ...

Started Bowling Again from Quilting My Way

This morning we cleaned up the house. Patrick did the bathrooms. I vacuumed and cleaned the cat litter - yep I'm the cat litter person. Patrick made a deal with me a long time ago - if we got a cat I had to clean the litter box. I had laundry going as well.

Then we sat and watched the Seahawk game! I was thrilled to see we won! I watched the whole thing. I also worked on my cross stitching. Didn't get a photo today. Will post one tomorrow. We watched a movie on Netflix and then had to ...

Last Minute Sewing! UGH from Quilting My Way

Today started out pretty good. Patrick and I took a walk. Then came home and started working on the Rugelach Cookie Salad that I got off Food network. I had to make the pudding and let it sit a few hours. Patrick helped me with getting the orange peel ready for me. Plus he did the cookies.

Then I decided to enjoy my afternoon with cross stitching.

I was enjoying myself so much with this! Just before supper I had to get back to the salad.

Patrick helped me out with this. He cut the apples and got the marshmallows ...

Spending My Day With My Hubby from Quilting My Way

Today we were up and being lazy. We then left about 11 am to go to the fair. We walked around the fair grounds looking at the animals. We were surprised that there really wasn't very many out there. The fair had more stalls with junk for sale. I remember a time when the fair was full of people and the stuff they sold was high quality at good prices. Even the food was good then at about $4. Now it's like going to a restaurant by paying $13 and up. Patrick and I shared a elephant ear ...

Having A Day To Myself from Quilting My Way

This morning Patrick went golfing with my niece and her hubby. They spend the day out on the golf course.

While they were golfing I was beading and playing games.

I'm now at 538/580. I'm down to 31 more to go. My next row is 539. Looking good.

While I was beading, I was enjoying watching Sophie. She went from one spot to another but not too far from me.

Then she realized I was taking a photo -

She let me know she didn't like that. So, she meowed and went to my chair.

Took this ...
