Breakfast Out And Back To Olympia from Quilting My Way

Both Patrick and I slept till 9. That surprised me because we have been getting up around 7 am lately. We got dressed and headed out to Berry Fields. I had an omelet and Patrick had a lot more. He doesn't do omelets but he does get eggs, bacon, toast, and oatmeal. After breakfast we decided to go see mom. I took half my omelet and hash browns to her. She was in a good mood and we visited for about 45 mins before we had to head to Olympia.

Patrick's appointment was at 1 pm. We arrived ...

Finally - A Day To Bead from Quilting My Way

This morning I was up and getting laundry going. I just enjoyed the first few hours by myself while Patrick was golfing.

Then I decided to listen to my book and bead.

I was able to get 5 rows done by the time Patrick got home. Then I worked on getting my donation letter written for the Rotary club to see if we can get donations for our QOV group.

I chatted with Donna and Connie. Now I'm heading to Connie's in the morning to drop a few things off for Donna. Then I will head over to ...

Presentation Day At Chehalis West from Quilting My Way

This morning I was getting everything ready to drop off. First stop was at Connie's - she has COVID, so I had to drop it at the doorstep. Next stop was moms. She's not doing good. Plus she's not looking good either. I'm getting worried.

Went to Nancy's and we worked on the schedules for the fair. Hildi was there as well. While we were there, I called the doctors and told them she needs to get in before Dec. I don't want to keep going to the ER every time she's feeling bad ...

A Quiet Sunday from Quilting My Way

This morning was a day of laundry and cleaning. Got a lot of stuff done. Then I played games.

Then I realized I had to get my blood pressure information to my doctor for tomorrow. Excel is great for that, but I had to enter over 2 months worth of information. Once that was done, I had to enter all the volunteer log information which is another 2 months worth of information. Once I had all that done, I was good to go.

After all that was entered, it was time to leave for bowling. I bowled pretty good - till ...

Had Part Of The Day To Myself from Quilting My Way

Patrick went golfing. I went downstairs.

I wanted to work on the quilt on the wall. Guess I wasn't in the mood because I was dragging my feet. Debbie came over and we chatted. We talked about what I could do with that panel. I will use her idea when I pull the other panel out to work on it.

At first I thought I was out of blocks. I checked with Val and she said she gave me all there was. I'm thrilled we are finally getting the last of these blocks done. When Debbie came, I ...

Another Day Out And About from Quilting My Way

This week is not my favorite week. Way too much going on! I was taking Sophie to the vet today. I had a chip put in her. Man! I'm glad it wasn't me. I felt so sorry for her when he put that in! She didn't make a peep! Then he gave her her rabies shot. He almost forgot. lol Then we came back home. She didn't let out a peep on the way home. I couldn't believe it. She usually lets me know how upset she is.

She couldn't get close enough to ...

Cleaning And Bowling from Quilting My Way

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TO ALL FATHER'S.

Today we just enjoyed the day. I worked on laundry and baked "blondies" for Patrick. They turned out really good.

I pretty much played games all day. I am coming out of my slump - but not all the way. I have embroidery tomorrow, so I'll do better then. I was thinking today I needed to finish the quilt top downstairs and finish the beading on the table. So, my mind is getting back to thinking of things I was working on.

We had bowling tonight. I do love 9 pin no ...

Not A Good Day For Me from Quilting My Way

This morning I decided not to go to moms for quilting. I had planned on it, till last night. Then this morning I went back to sleep.

I couldn't get myself to work on anything but play games. I realized later this afternoon that it was because Father's Day is Sunday, and my father isn't around. I'm very emotional since I realized it. I guess you can say it's depression, but I was playing games. - Good excuse. We did go to Phil's to get Patrick's pie he baked for him. Emily made him ...

Computer Died from Quilting My Way

This morning I got busy with doing laundry. Vacuumed and picked up. Then while Patrick was at a meeting, I worked on my Gunderson bookkeeping. As I was trying to print off the old computer, Patrick got home. The printer was locked up. So, I had him "try" and fix it. He doesn't like it when I do it, since it's the older computer and I "don't know what your doing." Crock of ......  Any way, I let him work on the computer.

While he did that, I worked on a sourdough bread. I'm trying to find ...

Best Laid Plans - Don't Work!! from Quilting My Way

This morning I was planning to go downstairs and start working on another quilt top for QOV.  Again - WAS PLANNING.

Instead, I had an email last night setting a virtual meeting up. So, 10 am I was on the computer and we chatted about the chances that may have. We also talked about what we are going to do to work on donations for QOV. We are moving forward and getting a lot of things done.

After our meeting (an hour and a half later), our State Coordinator called and we chatted for another hour. She wanted me to be ...

Hello "Hump Day" from Quilting My Way

This morning was a quiet one. Patrick to my surprise was up before me.

Patrick went off to meet some ex-co-workers for coffee. While he was gone, I went downstairs to work on the quilt on the wall. I needed to get moving on finishing a quilt. That thing has been bugging me for over a month, if not 2. We all know how that goes. We stare at it, thinking what we can do. Then we walk away and think some more. It's a never ending process, if I let it be. Never ending - meaning never finishing.

I ...

Plans That Don't Happen from Quilting My Way

This morning I was watching the news when Patrick said we needed to leave around 12:15 to get to the movies. I really wasn't in the mood, but I decided to go. I said "Downton Abby: New Era." I really liked the movie. It's worth seeing. I would see it again. AND I don't say that very often.

Came home after stopping to see Phil. Patrick got some plants from him. Then we went to Safeway to pick up a few things.

I then worked on my sourdough bread. Had to get that cooking. While I ...

HIT WITH A COLD! from Quilting My Way

Yesterday morning I woke to feeling like a truck hit me and ran me over! I was not feeling good at all. We went to Olympia and I was able to pick up the quilts from Stars and Stripes. Connie is going to quilt those for them. Then Patrick and I had our blood drawn and headed back home.

Got home and tried to do a few things to find I just couldn't. Slept on the couch most of the afternoon. We had the play "Mama Mia" to go to, but when Patrick woke me up, I told him ...

WooHoo! A Finish! from Quilting My Way

Today while I waiting for my son to come visit at 1 pm, I worked on my beading. I really wanted another project done!

My ornament is finally done! That is last years project. Only took me 6 months to get it done! I cleaned up my mess. Then I vacuumed and picked up for my son's visit. Haven't seen him in a long time, so it was so nice to sit and play a couple games with him.

I like the way it came out. I'm happy with it. Now I need to think of this ...

Trip To Portland from Quilting My Way

This morning was quiet. Then it was time to leave for moms. We picked her up around 11:00 am and drove to Portland. It was a good long drive. I fell asleep.

This morning I had to fix the monitor and get it set right. Once that was done, I was good to go. Got mom dropped off at the Airport by 12:45 pm. We were a good 2 hours early. Dropped her off with the guy who was pushing the wheel chair. She should be in OKC now. We headed back home and stopped off at Carl ...

Still Working from Quilting My Way

This morning I was ready to work on another quilt top. I played a little before going downstairs. Needed to work on getting the room warm.

Took this apart the other day. Patrick thought of using some busy fabric as a panel.

This fabric piece is going to be hard to figure out something for the quilts. I'll get there.

But this won't work. I tried, but I just couldn't get over how busy it was. It was a good though.

So, I finally decided on this. The fabric between the blocks are stripped with small stars ...

Finishing Up Some Things from Quilting My Way

This morning I slept in - because of the Benadryl. I had to take it when I headed to bed last night. I'm having an allergic reaction to my heart monitor tape. I contacted the doctors and they gave me the number to call. Called and was told they would forward the information to the Olympia office. I could take it off, but asked if I could wait till I hear from the nurse. I said that was fine. No return call today. I do hope they call tomorrow.

Then I cleaned up a few things upstairs. Got 2 loads ...

Meeting At Mom's - Small Group from Quilting My Way

Today I was out the door with some scraps and quilts. I had 2 quilts that needed the label on them. One was mine.

Got to moms and was thrilled there was only 6 of us. The regular group. I really enjoy a smaller group. Hildi told me the "other Nancy" wants to join our QOV group. That would be awesome. At this rate there will be 20 of us for QOV. The more we have the more help we can get from others.

Mom appliqued the Marine emblem in the corner. It looks awesome! This is for Debbie. She ...

My Day - My Way from Quilting My Way

This morning Patrick headed off to golfing. Our backing material arrived along with my heart monitor. I wanted till Patrick got home to put it on.

After playing games in the morning - and just finishing up with laundry, I decided to work on my cross stitching. FIRST I needed to do the kitty litter.

I guess she couldn't wait! She was in the area where the litter box is, but when I went to put trash out, she was in her box! Lucky me. I had to wait till she was done before I could put the litter box ...

Genealogy Day from Quilting My Way

This morning Patrick and I were up early and on our way to Olympia. Both of us needed blood tests done. So, we made a morning of it. Once we were done, we headed to our bowling partners place to pick up 2 dozen fresh eggs. Then we went to "Judy's" for breakfast. I had a cinnamon bread French toast while Patrick got my eggs and had some oatmeal. "Oats" actually.

Came home and I worked on my genealogy. I was able to add another 150 names to Patrick's family. I have a ton of papers in the ...
