What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

 This morning I didn't want to get up. I kept waking up last night because of my reflex. I ate around 7 yesterday and I know better. It still hasn't corrected itself since our vacation. 

I worked on my exercises and didn't see Ron out there till he was on his 5th loop. I joined him. After we got the last 2 loops done, I continued till I was at 6 loops - had to come in and hit the bathroom. lol So figured I could get away with not doing one more loop.

 Patrick was out the door to golf and I was enjoying the time to myself. I pulled out the quilt that I need to applique stars on. I did get one done. It's not the prettiest but it's at the end of the boarder and it will probably be cut in half. I'm okay with that. 

Kathleen called me to say the embroidery at the fair isn't much, so would I be able to judge weaving and basketry. I told her I have made them and I could judge them. Plus she needed a judge to ...

 Today Patrick was up and out the door by 7:30 am. I enjoyed sleeping in - till 8:00 am. I played a few games and just enjoyed doing NOTHING! I thought about going downstairs but didn't. I got a call from Judy saying she has a box of fabric for me - QOV. She wanted to know if I was going to moms. Told her not today, I wanted to take the day off. She was trying to figure out how to get the box to me. I told her I'm home most days and she can drop ...

 Today I was up early to get ready to go to the vets. Sophie's yearly check up was today. We went with little problems. She meowed a lot before I got her in the car. Then it slowed down some. She was a lot better with the vet today then she was in the past. She lost a little bit of weight. 

Came home. Texted Debbie to get her to go to the museum for me. She is usually out and about. She was sweet enough to go. Had a call this morning from one of our veterans wife ...

 This morning I was up and moving around. I went downstairs to see if I had any fabric left from the quilt I did yesterday. I did remember I was out of the blue and thought I had some red I could use. I wanted to be sure to have enough for a binding as well. My off white was down to a 6 1/2" strip. I decided to add another white to it and fold it over - showing most of the white I used on the quilt. I cut a small strip of the red to use as ...

I decided to explain how I’m coping without a rotary cutter and mat. Yes, it’s like the days when I first started quilting. I don’t always want to measure, and luckily with the pouches I’m making I really don’t have to.

For this cat pouch I eyeballed the size of the cat fabric I wanted, then cut to the size I felt looked good. I centered the fabric by finding and marking the center of the batting/backing and the cat fabric, then pinning in place.

This morning I cut some asparagus for Phil. First I had to stop at Safeway for lunch. Then stopped at Phil's to drop off the asparagus. 

Last stop was at The Gathering Place. Mom was teaching a Judging class. So, when I arrived there was a couple people already there. Jeannie Austin was there as well!! I was go excited to see her!! Love that lady!! Gave her a big hug. Nancy showed up shortly there after. I sat between them. We had 18 people show up. Mom passed out her papers and of course the gal next to ...

 This morning I took advantage of sleeping in. Then I ended up doing a couple loads of laundry because Patrick has a pile for me again. I will do the sheets tomorrow. 

I played games for awhile and then I beaded for awhile. I didn't get a photo of my bead work today. I started working on the lavender angel. I didn't get very far. 

We went bowling and I was checking to see if we could do the roll offs next week. I couldn't believe Jeff wouldn't work with me! He didn't want us ...

 This morning I was up a little earlier than I thought. After getting dressed and having breakfast, I started working on laundry. I was able to get it all caught up - till tomorrow when Patrick finds more things for me to wash. I also cleaned the cat litter - which I usually do on Sundays. Scooping is another story! 

I got busy with paperwork. I had to get QOV up to snuff. Plus I had to pay a few bills for the water group. Once all that was done, I put my ear plugs in and listened to my book on ...

Today we pretty much got ready for mom to come over for Easter dinner. We pulled out the game for her to play with us. We cleaned up a little and then waited for her to arrive. She arrived around 1 pm after church and then we had chai tea. 

Off we went to play games all afternoon till it was time to eat. Then after dinner and for dessert we played games. I was winning a lot, but then Patrick started to win. We had "better than sex cake." I've seen a different name on it but it ...

Today I wasn't in the mood to do anything but play games on my tablet. That doesn't help me at all! I won't get very far if I keep putting things off and play games. Not sure why I'm feeling that way. Probably depression again. I will work on getting out of the funk. 

We did go shopping for groceries and then later went out to eat at RibEye about 5 mins away by the freeway. It was really good. I loved the brownie, ice cream and whipped cream! It was huge!! Patrick and I shared ...

 This morning Patrick went golfing and I went to my PT appointment. 

Came home to find Patrick home early. He took a nap and I went to work on my beading. 

I finished with the border of black. That was 6 rows. Then I put 2 more rows on my Fireplace Sophie. It's coming along. I like working on this. I have more to do and will start getting back to it. I'm wanting to get to Sophie's ear at least. I have about 6 more rows to go before I get there. The sooner I do ...

This morning I was up and ready to leave. 

Sophie wanted her attention first. She was watching me try and get a photo of her. Just as I clicked she reached for the phone. It was funny. Think she saw herself in the "selfie." 

I had 3 stops to make. I dropped off the logos for MailPlus to do a banner for us. I'm excited to see what he comes up with. 

My next stop was to Connies. I needed to get her check to her and drop off the last of the batting. That way she has batting ...

This morning I was up at 8 am. Ready to go by 8:50 am. I started on my exercises and at 9:10 am got a call from Loretta telling me I was late. I had 10 am on the calendar and in my mind! I arrived at my virtual class as quick as I could. They were working on the lattice work behind the embroidery. So, I felt good that I didn't miss much. Then we were told to finish up the background (already did), do the stem work and work on the leaves. She demo'd ...

My day started out like the last couple days since the time change. I just couldn't get out of bed! When I did, it was rushing to get my exercises done and get moving. As I was about to head out to Smiley's Birthday gathering, I had a phone call from QOV. I'm working on getting the logo for a banner. Of course the information she needed would go through. So, I had to send that about 3 times before it went through.

This morning I wanted to sleep till noon. Didn't happen but was a though. I did get up and get ready to see Debbie when she stopped by. I looked all over for my white material that Kristie brought to me yesterday. Couldn't find it. Searched all over, called Debbie and Connie. They didn't have it. After Debbie came and I cut more batting, I asked her to check at the Woodland Village in case I left it there. Then told her to wait till I check my car. OH COURSE IT WAS THERE!

 This morning both Patrick and I slept in. Really didn't want to get up. I'm almost thinking he's sleeping in more because of the medications, but not going there. He's been having bumps on his face. Might be a reaction. Hard to say. 

I got laundry going, but didn't get far. I went downstairs and forgot. I worked on the quilt I had on the wall. 

I got the two rows attached to the panel. I'm okay with it. I think it's a little on the light side but the dark blue might ...

Today I was up and moving around. I started laundry again - which I just realized I need to put in the dryer. 

I then took Sophie to the vets. She has a wart on her back, so it's not anything to worry about right now. Plus it's smaller than it was when I called to get the appointment. She was not happy with me! She got a physical while we were there. She tried to stay under the blanket. Plus she didn't talk to me the whole way back - and I stopped at moms for a 5 ...

       After a long search using Petfinder, and more than a few deadends, Rosie came to be the new cat in residence. She was fostered from a tiny kitten who was abandoned when renters moved out taking the mom cat, but leaving behind the kittens. She was rescued in a trap that was put through a window. The siblings did not make it. A local cat rescue, CatbyCatInc.org had her on the Petfinder website.

We were up and out the door by 9 am. Our flight was scheduled for noon. Since it ❄️ snowed the night before we decided to get moving early " just in case." We arrived a good hour plus.  We found our flight was delayed an hour. Then again another half hour. We figured we would have about 20 mins in Denver before having to leave for San Francisco.  There were others on our flight headed for Baltimore but 10 minutes before we landed they announced the flight was leaving.
