What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

 I live in WA because I can't take the heat. I can't take tornado's or any of the other seasonal disasters. I can take an earthquake or two. I haven't been able to do the heat in a very, very long time. 

I do wish I had an air conditioner, but we don't. So I suffer. What fun! 

We pulled out the fans and I sat and beading this afternoon. 

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TO ALL FATHER'S. 

Today we just enjoyed the day. I worked on laundry and baked "blondies" for Patrick. They turned out really good. 

I pretty much played games all day. I am coming out of my slump - but not all the way. I have embroidery tomorrow, so I'll do better then. I was thinking today I needed to finish the quilt top downstairs and finish the beading on the table. So, my mind is getting back to thinking of things I was working on. 

We had bowling tonight. I do love 9 pin no ...

 This morning I got started on laundry - but that didn't go far. lol 

I then went downstairs to work on the next quilt top. 

Started by putting some of the blocks together to see if that was what Patrick was talking about. He said that was it. Looked good. At this point, I wondered but kept going. 

 Both of us were up early today. Guess neither one of us could sleep well. 

I just spent most of the morning playing games on the tablets. It's pretty bad when I can play 2 games at once. At one time I had 3 going - go figure! I just wasn't in the mood to do much today. 

I did work another 2 rows on the beading. Then my phone reminded me of the BE virtual meeting. I was off to the computer to listen and enjoy the group. At first I couldn't get on, so had to ...

 Patrick left for golfing this morning. While he was gone, I received phone call after phone call. All about QOV. We are having a presentation on Saturday, just to get the brothers done! 

After all the phone calls, I decided I needed to get back to beading. 

Three rows done and Patrick comes hone. So, I didn't get very far. I'm looking forward to getting the parrot done. It's getting closer. 

I had to go to the bowling alley to get the paperwork for Sunday night. I have to figure out the payout for the league. Once ...

 This morning I enjoyed the morning listening to my book and playing bingo. Patrick slept in, so I enjoyed playing my games. 

Once he was up and things were back to normal - or at least seems to be - I decided to get the binding of the QOV quilt done. 

I spent the afternoon finishing the binding and then adding the label. I pulled another label out and put that on the quilt we received for a specific person. It's ready to go as well. I have 3 more quilts to put labels on and 2 more that need binding ...

 This morning I was glad to have the heart monitor off. I didn't have to sleep with it. I boxed it up and it's going out in the mail tomorrow. Will be interesting to see what shows up. I won't find out for awhile. My appointment isn't till around the 20th. 

I got laundry going and did some cleaning. Like vacuuming, kitty litter, and kitchen. After that, I didn't feel like doing much. Which means I just played games all day long. Had 2 tablets going at the same time! Talk about hooked! Patrick worked ...

 This morning I went down and cut the batting and backing for Debbie. Texted her to let her know she could pick it up. Then I got started on working on my panel quilt. I had the panel idea ahead of time and decided to put it together. I worked on it most of the morning while waiting on Debbie. Debbie finally arrived at a good time. 

I had this much done by the time she arrived. I need to cut more white blocks to finish this up. I also need to cut a border strip that will be used ...

 This morning Patrick and I started out with cleaning. We seem to do that every Sunday. He works on the bathrooms and I work on the laundry. This time we went through the bathroom cabinet and cleaned it all up. Got it organized and threw out a lot of stuff. Old expired stuff. 

Then I decided to listen to my book and bead. 

I was close to finishing this one. I had to stop to join my virtual meeting. 

 This morning started out to be a cleaning day. We got the laundry going, cleaned the new wood floors, and worked on getting the rest of the house vacuumed. We did the full stuff. 

Once that was done, I headed downstairs. I needed to get the last border on the quilt I've been trying to get done all week.

It's bright and looks good. I then had to get the backing and batting ready. I ended up cutting backing for 3 quilts (one is Christie's). Each one has a different color. Didn't want to mess Connie ...

 This morning I was up at 7:30 am to find out it was 8:30 am. Patrick slept in later, so it was 10 am before I showered. UGH Not liking this time change. 

I had a message from Debbie that she needed backing and batting. So, I went down to cut the batting and backing for her. I had the quilt to be bound for her to work on as well. Sent the message back that I had them done. She arrived in a short time after that. She has 2 quilts ready to go to Connie.

 This morning I thought I might work on my QOV stuff. We all know how that goes! I can't seem to stay on tracked. 

So, I played for awhile. Waiting on the heater (or fireplace) downstairs to heat the room up. It didn't heat very fast. But I did go down and get working on the backing of the 2 quilts that need to go to Connie's. I started out doing the first backing, then sewed some labels to the fabric softeners sheets. I did 7 of them. Then I ironed the second backing. Once that was ...

 This morning I played games for awhile. I also listened to my books. I finished one and started another. I was more in the mood to listen to stories then do much - but then I wanted to bead. I actually wanted to work on the parrot but decided I needed to finish this ornament first. So, I sat at the table working on the ornament and listened to my books while Patrick watched the shows he wanted to. 

I finished the first set of panels for the ornament. I then started the other one. I was enjoying myself today. So ...

 This morning I was up and playing games. Then just before Patrick left for bowling, I pulled out my box of genealogy. I wanted to get it organized and easier for me to add the information I have. 

I sat on the floor and pulled out each folder to put in folders related to the ancestor name. I labeled folder by name - Wineland, Taylor, White, etc. That way it's easier to put the information where it belongs and to what family it belongs. I even worked on the White family as I was going.

This morning Patrick was out the door by 11. I was relaxed and enjoying the morning to myself - since he slept in. He had a bowling tournament to go to. Tomorrow he only bowls once for the tournament and then for us tomorrow night. 

I decided to enjoy the day by watching Perry Mason (old ones) and "Finding Your Roots." I called Sharon and she had company. Then I called Phil Wineland, a cousin of ours. He was still in the hospital and I wished him well. He was doing better today. 

While I watched my shows, I beaded. 

 For some reason, there wasn't much going on today. I did do laundry, but who wants to hear the details of that boring job. I cleaned up the kitchen - again who wants to hear about that boring job. I did order a traveling case for my beading. I want to take it on the cruise with us in May. 

We watched part of the Supper Bowl. I was hoping the team that lost would win. Shame. 

It's bowling night, so I can tell you about that. We didn't bowl the other team because they bowled earlier. We ...

 This morning I wasn't in the mood to do ANYTHING. But I did do laundry today. Other than that, I watched bowling on TV and just pretty much relaxed. Shocked Patrick because I didn't do ANY crafts today. 

We did go bowling and I bowled pretty good. Gained another pin!! I bowled a 184, 166, and a 236. The 166 was when I "lost it." I couldn't figure out what happened. Couldn't hit the pocket and couldn't do much at all. I missed 2 easy pins!! I decided around the 8th frame to go back ...

 This morning was cold! We pretty much stayed home. I worked on laundry and played my games. Then I got busy on getting the binding done on another quilt. I also added a label to the quilt. 

Three quilts are now ready to go the museum. It's an added addition to the quilts. We had 8 ready to give out - 5 are going out this weekend. Then adding these to the pile will put us at 5 ready for the next one. We have about 4 others out there with bindings. I have to pick one up from mom ...

 This morning I was playing game - no surprise there. Trying to finish before the weekend ended - no such luck!

I decided I needed to get to work on my beading. So, I pulled it out and sorted the beads on the tray since they were all mixed up. It took me a little bit to do that, but I at least was listening to the end of my book. 

Once that was sorted, I started beading. 

I started from this point and got busy. Around row 35 I realized something was off. My number of rows was not working out ...

 Okay, we are talking about ME. So when I say "best laid plans" we all know what that means. I've done that so many times in this blog it's getting to the point it's not funny anymore. 

So, MY PLAN was to finish the border on that quilt, get a couple pillow cases done. Yep, best laid plans! It turned out that I didn't get any of that done! 

First I cut the borders, then I went through the fabrics to find some material that will work for pillows. I was able to cut some fabric ...
