What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

 Ok, I tried to sleep in. Easier said then done. Dad seems to wake the dead when he talks in the morning! Of course my sister in law Chris, seems to always do a big breakfast. So it was sausage, bacon, pancakes, yogurt and fruit. With 3 kinds of fruit and juices.

I went out on the boat to sit and chat with Patrick and Sue. Then the rest started coming on board.  Next thing I know we are off for another sight seeing trip. This may turn into a daily thing. The pontoon boat goes slow. Dennis and Molly ...

We didn't have our BE meeting today. So, I tried to sleep in - but didn't. Patrick did though. 

I started laundry and it didn't go very far. Think I got 2 loads done all day today. We pretty much watched TV most of the day. I did get my monthly beads today. I love the colors this time. 

I have some of them and will add them to what I have. The others I will work on getting them in my boxes. I will do that later on.

 This morning I was surprised Patrick slept till 10:30 this morning. I had to wait to get my shower! lol 

When things settled down, I got started on laundry and walking. Then got going on the sourdough bread. 

This is one of the piles I work with. I found that my whites are so close in color that I have to do them separately now. I have 2 piles that are the same, and I know they are different. So, I will have to put them in a pile and see if I can tell the difference. At this ...

This morning I wanted to sleep till noon. Didn't happen but was a though. I did get up and get ready to see Debbie when she stopped by. I looked all over for my white material that Kristie brought to me yesterday. Couldn't find it. Searched all over, called Debbie and Connie. They didn't have it. After Debbie came and I cut more batting, I asked her to check at the Woodland Village in case I left it there. Then told her to wait till I check my car. OH COURSE IT WAS THERE!

Today I was thrilled to be able to stay in bed if I wanted to. I didn't stay as long as I wanted to. lol 

First things first - LAUNDRY! I have been behind on the laundry, it isn't funny. You know, those days when you see the close you love to wear - still in the laundry basket. Yep - I got moving on the laundry. I'm happy to say I have all but one "pile" done. I was at it all day long.

Today I was up and moving around. I started laundry again - which I just realized I need to put in the dryer. 

I then took Sophie to the vets. She has a wart on her back, so it's not anything to worry about right now. Plus it's smaller than it was when I called to get the appointment. She was not happy with me! She got a physical while we were there. She tried to stay under the blanket. Plus she didn't talk to me the whole way back - and I stopped at moms for a 5 ...

This morning Patrick was off to golfing. I wanted to sleep in, but I received a text....reminder....reminder...every 3 minutes. I went through my phone to figure out why I kept getting reminders! I went into my setting and found that my setting was set at every 3 mins. No wonder my phone was driving me crazy the last week!! Now it's off and I won't have to keep hearing it "bing."

Once I finally got up and took care of that, I went to get laundry going. Then it was time to vacuum. Next it ...

 This morning I was up before Patrick. I enjoyed a little time by myself and playing games. 

I started on laundry - yeah, I know - didn't get very far. I still have some in the dryer right now. lol I did get one load folded. lol 

Patrick spent time outside and I stayed in. Debbie stopped by and dropped off some papers I need to drop of at Carol's. I fixed Patrick's sock that had a hole in it. Then I worked on our Christmas cards. I ordered cards from Walgreens. It said it would be ready by ...

 Ended up sleeping till 10:30 am. Mom was up and down all night. If you heard her she'd tell you she slept really well all night. I am still on the couch. One more day and my brother should be here. 

Mom slept in the afternoon and I watched an English show. 2 seasons worth. Around 3:30 I went home. Stopping at Safeway first. Got chicken for Patrick and I.  Picked up my clothes for tonight and tomorrow.  

Came back and worked on my beading.

Today started with everyone talking loud and not letting me sleep in. So 8:30 am I finally got up. 

 Another year, another Birthday. I was getting a lot of texts wishing me Happy Birthday. Even the gal at Kaiser came out and wished me Happy Birthday as well as being sorry we couldn't make the cruise. Once Patrick's treatment was over, we headed to Costco. 

At Costco I picked up a set of boxes (2) that I can use with my fabric downstairs. I can put the scraps in the box and put them in a bag later to give to someone to work on. I haven't decided what the other box will be used for ...

 This morning I was wanting to sleep in but didn't. I waited on Patrick. Then by the time I took my shower it was 11 am. I then finished the cookie pudding that I was making yesterday. Added all the marshmallows, blueberries, banana's, and apples. At least it's something that Patrick can eat. 

Then I decided to work on my beading that has been put away since December. I was looking for the notebook that has the pattern in it. I couldn't find it! Plus it has the pattern of Sophie ready for me to work ...

 Today is the day we were able to go out without having to wear a mask. It felt good. But there will still be days that I will wear a mask. We still have to wear them when we go to the doctors. 

My beading tubes arrived today, so before we headed to the movies, I got busy on organizing my beads. The tubes are a little different because they are smaller at the bottom then they are on the top. That's okay, they will still fit in my trays. I just hope they don't tilt too much ...

 This morning Patrick was up and ready to go. He was golfing today. After he left, I got busy with laundry and then decided to do a video on my beading. As it went, I was looking around the house for things that will work while I video myself working on my beading. It was some set up! 

At first I tried it with my camera, but I couldn't get it to zoom in where I wanted it. So, I put my phone between the 2 rulers. It worked out good. I realized after that I needed to turn ...

 Today I was surprised when Patrick left for golfing. lol - I completely forgot he was going today. I have a list of things to do, so headed out early. First on my list was to stop at the church and pick up a quilt. Dropped one off that the same time. I got to meet Linda who was making the quilts for us. She's really sweet! I was so thrilled to meet her. Told her to call me if she needed anything. Then I was off to Safeway for hamburger. The store was already busy, so had to wait ...

 I seem to be repeating myself lately - just like the days of the week! Today was quilting day at moms. I ended up helping mom out with getting the booster shop appointment she wanted. She tried to get the booster shot at Rite Aid - had the appointment confirmed - and when she went over there, they had her come back 3 times - "in an hour," "in a half hour," and "try again in an hour." They had her in the computer because she got a confirmation - but they didn't have her in Centralia. She gave them her confirmation number, everything ...

 Today is Veterans Day! I spent the day at the Veterans Memorial Museum. We set up a table and "nominated" about 20 more Veterans for our QOV quilts. 

On a day like today, I wish my father was here. He would have joined me today and helped out. I feel close to him when I can honor veterans. My best friend and father!

One of the people we signed up was a WAV - Navy woman Veteran. She got so emotional that we would honor her with a quilt. She joined about the time I would have, if I would have ...

This morning I was working on the blocks that I was looking at yesterday. I need to figure out what I want to do about my block.

This morning I wanted to do some cleaning up. So, I got laundry going and done. Then I had Patrick help me with a photo of the Snowman. 

Then I worked on a Lemon Meringue Pie for dessert. It turned out awesome! And grandma Wineland would be proud!

It was awesome too. Grandma W was the pie maker in the family. If someone said they were bringing a pie, she would bake one to show hers was better.

 This morning Patrick was off to his golf tournament. I was going to enjoy the day to myself. I had a hard time trying to decide if I wanted to work on my beading or go downstairs. I know I need to get more tops done, so I headed downstairs. 

I was tired of seeing this on the wall. I decided to go down and get to work on it. 

Of course there are those days when things go wrong. At least this was the only thing that went wrong so far! I sewed the two square together twice. So ...
