Better Photo Of My Finish! from Quilting My Way

This morning I wanted to do some cleaning up. So, I got laundry going and done. Then I had Patrick help me with a photo of the Snowman.

Patrick offered to show it off for me. lol It's done and Patrick put the rod through it. Looks great.

Then I worked on a Lemon Meringue Pie for dessert. It turned out awesome! And grandma Wineland would be proud!

It was awesome too. Grandma W was the pie maker in the family. If someone said they were bringing a pie, she would bake one to show hers was better.

After ...

Working On A Top Again from Quilting My Way

This morning Patrick was off to his golf tournament. I was going to enjoy the day to myself. I had a hard time trying to decide if I wanted to work on my beading or go downstairs. I know I need to get more tops done, so I headed downstairs.

I was tired of seeing this on the wall. I decided to go down and get to work on it.

Of course there are those days when things go wrong. At least this was the only thing that went wrong so far! I sewed the two square together twice. So ...

Almost There! Little More Work To Do from Quilting My Way

This morning started out pretty good. We had breakfast then I played for a little bit. Patrick went outside to work in the yard. When he did that, I went to the table and worked on my beading.

I'm done! At least with the front part. This is it. I was thrilled to see this done. I still need to repair the bird tail that has a broken bead to replace.

So, then started to add the seam. I want to have a seam for a rod to go through. I was able to get about 5 rows done ...

Getting Ready For The Fair from Quilting My Way

This morning Patrick was up early and out the door for golfing. I enjoyed having the morning to myself. I did do some cleaning. I wanted to get laundry going and I needed to clean the cat litter. (TMI - I know)

Then Patrick got home and I was telling him I needed to get the embroidery framed for the fair. He suggested we go to Michaels - because I needed to get a couple frames. We bought (buy one get two free) 3. You know how that works, they up the price and then sell it at a buy one get ...

First Operation Done from Quilting My Way

This morning we were out the door by 4:15 am. We all piled into the van and headed to UW Cancer Care Alliance. Patrick arrived at the hospital for his check in. We couldn't go in. Family and friends are not allowed due to Corona Virus. We all hugged him and wished him well. I walked him to the door and then turned back to the van.

Katt, Susan and I headed to breakfast. The plan was to stay in the area to make sure he was okay during and after surgery. We headed to the closest I-Hop ...

Not One Of My Better Days from Quilting My Way

This morning we were up early because of texts and phone calls. Text were "sex" texts that I would love to see be illegal. Yet, phone companies won't stop them.

I wasn't feeling good today. I think my sinus' were driving my head crazy. I had to take medication for it, and then I asked Patrick to give me a few before we left for Olympia. I ended up sleeping another hour before we went up there.

Came home around noon to 1 pm. I played a few games. Got back to laundry. But even with all that ...

Ho-hum Day from Quilting My Way

I had a hard time sleeping last night. Too much on my mind.

When I got up, I started working on laundry. Then we left for Safeway to pick up a few things for tomorrow when Nick and Joanne will be here.

I decided it was time to sit and work on my beading. Listening to a book kept my mind off things that are going on around here. Patrick has been quiet and it's understandable.

I was able to get another 3 rows done. I'm really having fun with this. My Snowman is coming in clear now ...

Oops - December 7th from Quilting My Way

Guess I forgot to do my blogging last night. Not really but when I thought about blogging, I got side tracked and then forgot.

We all know I'm like a dog that sees a squirrel  or a cat thzt sees a bird. If I see something I need or want to do, I'm off running and to heck with what I was working on. In this case, I decided to number my wordchart.

So before going to bed,  I  pulled 8 sheets out and started counting.  That way when I work on my bead work, I'm not ...

Playing Games With Family from Quilting My Way

This morning I went over to moms because I do every Friday. I took my applique with me. Also took some leftovers from yesterday.

I arrived about 9:45 am. Unlocked the door, then went in to quiet. I put stuff away and made some Chai tea for mom and me. Then I went into moms bedroom where she was snoring. Woke her up at 9:55 am. She was getting up. Called Nancy and told her to give mom about 30 mins before she comes. She laughed and agreed. Mom got her tea and not sure if she got ...

Getting A Few Things Done from Quilting My Way

Today was a good day. I was able to do a lot that I wanted to do.

I got an email with the list of what the group wanted as far as the floss goes. I took them out, logged what was left and then posted to the group they were for sale. I'm going to give it a couple days and if they don't reply, I will sell the rest on eBay.

Then I started out with trying to decide what I want to work on next. So, I started going through my bead patterns.

I decided ...

We Finally Got Out Of The House from Quilting My Way

Today started out early. We wanted to head to Tumwater for Costco. We hadn't been up there in awhile, so we planned a trip up there.

Off we went! We had 4 shopping lists for the trip. We shopped for our neighbor, mom, Phil, and us. We arrived early. We were in a line for a very short time. I don't think we had to wait more than 2 mins. They had the wall marked for where we had to stand. They wiped down the carts before they gave them to us. We got in and it wasn ...

Hello Saturday! Another Day Gone By.... from Quilting My Way

Well, here we are back to Saturday. Not much has changed. Not much going on.

This morning I played a few games. It's going to be interesting tomorrow, as Patrick and I have decided to "go off the grid" with computers, tablets, and phone. We won't be doing anything on the net, but I will be doing my blog at the end of the day.

I went downstairs and got my two cross stitch pieces ready to go. I sewed the extra on the ends, then I put the smaller one on a frame. The bigger one will ...

A Day Of Stitching - Sewing from Quilting My Way

Yep, that's what I said, "A Day Of Sewing." All because I needed to get a couple tops done for QOV.

After getting moving this morning, Patrick was a sweetheart and went to get the fireplace going. I had to do a few things and took my time getting downstairs. I called and talked to Sharon and Bill first. It was a long chat because Sharon likes to chat. We talked about the beading. She's on row 69 of the covered bridge one.

Downstairs I went. Then I got to work on the quilt top. I had about ...

Where Do You Get Your Design Inspiration? Appliqué Inspiration From Interior Design Fabrics from Cheeky Cognoscenti

I'm still plugging away at my Spirit Song quilt top, albeit intermittently.  So far I have four of the twelve 16" blocks completely assembled:

Four 16 Inch Blocks Assembled, Eight More to Go
It's tedious piecing at this point because I'm matching up triangles with seams that don't nest.  Lots of unpicking and finessing to get those triangle points to match up to my satisfaction!  But meanwhile, my mind is on other projects, inspired by everything I see around me.  If you're one of those sensible people who has made a resolution not to start ...

Rain, Rain, Go Away, Come Back Another Day! from Quilting My Way

As much as I like rain, this is getting out of hand. We've been pouring rain for 3 days and we've been getting rain off and on before that even.

Today I went up to Tumwater to see Sharon and drop off a quilt to Bill. Actually that was the top I finished a couple days ago. It rained the whole time up there. The worst parts were passing trucks. It doesn't matter how bad the roads are, there is always someone in a hurry that has to pass me by 10 miles an hour more! And ...

Beading And Bowling from Quilting My Way

This morning I slept in. I think I'm still getting over the cold. I keep coughing and blowing my noise at times. So, it felt good to sleep in.

Sharon called this morning to see if I wanted to get some more beads. Told her I would call her back. I wanted to finish my ornament and then go through all my beads to see what I needed for one of my projects.

This was finished - and I FORGOT to take a photo of it when it was done. It's better than mine. I wrapped it up for ...

A Rainy, Busy Day from Quilting My Way

This morning Patrick was up and out the door way before me. He went to work on his CEU's for his certificate. They had a meeting in Olympia. That lasted all day Of course the road to and back from Olympia was awful and pouring rain.

I got up later, and was out the door by 9 am. First I headed to the post office to get the quilt out in the mail. It's ready to be awarded to Lester Dingus. I wanted to make sure he got a quilt, and that's the least we could do ...

More Beads from Quilting My Way

This morning I was up and out the door by 8:30 am. I went up to Olympia to pick Sharon up. Then it was off to the doctors.

Good news from the doctor. My breasts are fine. lol - Good news. She thinks the pains I may have have to do with mussels or heart. Will keep tracks for that and see what comes next.

Then it was off to Shipwrecked Beads. Sharon and I bought some beads for the ornaments. I've got enough to do a couple more ornaments. I'm looking forward to get another one or ...

I've Had Better Days from Quilting My Way

Today I was up early. I enjoyed an hour or so by myself - with Sophie. I played a few games and enjoyed the morning....

Then Patrick got up and started working out in the yard. I went and got the bucket of apples. I started cutting the apples for apples sauces and then made a crisp. My fingers were getting sore. I wasn't looking forward to bowling with the way my left hand was feeling.

While I was cooking the apple sauce, I thought I would try to make a beaded twisted earrings. It was an idea for Christmas ...
