A Day Of Beading from Quilting My Way

This morning I was ready for Faye to pick up the batting and backing. I also cut her some labels. I need to cut more for Ethel. She arrived around 10 am. We chatted for awhile. Patrick was washing the car as we chatted. It was good to see her again.

Sharon had called when I was cutting the labels, so I told her I'd call her back in 10 mins. Then I called her back just as Faye was driving up, so told her I would call back after she leaves. Once all that was done, I called ...

Went To The Grange from Quilting My Way

It's been a long time since I've been to the Grange. I needed to go to Oakview Grange in Centralia for our Brazilian embroidery group. They were having a garage sale and I picked up suite case that she opened up. It's on rollers and fits in the upper compartment. I really liked it. It wasn't the color that I would have liked but for a brand new case at $5, it was worth it.

I had to stop at moms before going to the Grange. Then on the way back, I had to stop at ...

Okay, Another Day Gone from Quilting My Way

This morning I was up and doing laundry. I cleaned the bathroom where the cat litter is, first.

It was one of those days that one wonders where the day went. We didn't go out, be we did keep busy. We had a company come to see about putting windows in the living room. It's the last set of windows that have been replaced. We had an estimate done today. There is another company that is supposed to come out as well to see how much it will cost. They were talking about having the window panels all ...

Getting Into A Routine from Quilting My Way

This morning I was up and ready to go to moms. I loaded up the car with a few things. I took my applique box just in case.

I stopped and picked up some tea for both mom and I. Then I arrived at moms. She wanted me to order a few things for her, so I did. She wanted a photo box - like the box I used for beading - that was listed on line for $25. I told her she could get it cheaper at Micheal's. So we planned on going to Micheal's and then to lunch ...

Took Sophie To The Vet from Quilting My Way

This morning I had to be up early to get Sophie to the Vet's. She didn't know it was coming. Got her in the car and passed the exit to moms. She didn't like that. She was meowing the rest of the way to the Vet's. We got there in time. Waited....then got into the room. Waited....waited....till he finally came in. He apologized for the wait. I told him that was okay. Poor Sophie, she didn't want out of the cage. She went to the farthest spot in the cage. I had ...

Enjoying A Day With A Good Friend from Quilting My Way

This morning I was up and getting ready for Sandy to come over. We had planned to do out beading again. She arrived and I gave her a lot of stuff I had for her, plus some chocolates from Escanaba.

We had a good chat and laughed a lot. It was so good to have her here.

We are making the Folded Twisted Diamond earring. Thank that is what it's called. We are doing the one that comes together at the top. This one goes in a shape of a "V" instead of a "Z" which I think will ...

Having A Good Day Beading from Quilting My Way

This morning I started the day with laundry. I don't know what it is about the new washer and dryer, but I find that I really like doing laundry now....go figure! I used to hate doing laundry, but now it's almost as much fun as playing on the computer! I know, I'm going crazy!

Once all that was done, and it is Sunday - which means NO playing on the tablet or computer. That's not fun. Think Patrick did that on purpose to keep me off the tablet. Anyway, I pulled out my tablet and turned ...

It Seems To Be A Broken Record from Quilting My Way

Actually, "this" seems to be a broken record. Life is so boring with the Corona-virus. We can't go anywhere or if we do, we have to wear a mask. We don't talk about going anywhere because there isn't anywhere to go. Bowling isn't going to start up again at this rate. It's really getting to be hard to want to do anything because of the way life is now.

So, today wasn't much different. I did make a pie. Then I st and beaded.

I ended up taking out row 15 - after I continued ...

Rainy Day....Boring Day from Quilting My Way

This morning I didn't want to get up. We slept till about 9 am. It was dreary outside. I just wanted to stay in bed. I did get up around 8 am and took my package to the mailbox so it went out today.

When I finally decided what I wanted to do, I went to beading.

I was able to get another 4 rows done.

Now I have 11 rows done. Which makes it 11/580. Long way to go! lol As you can see it's a long piece. It will take awhile to do this one ...

Another Day Of Beading from Quilting My Way

This morning Patrick was out the door and off to the dentist. I tried to get my FlossTube done. I was close to having one I wanted, when Patrick came home. So, I ended up deleting what I did and will do it later.

I enjoyed sitting and working on my beading. I was enjoying it. The hard part is that it takes a good hour to get a row in.

I was able to get a good 3 rows in. I'm now at 7/580 rows done. Long way to go but it's getting there.

Then I ...

Three Times The Fun from Quilting My Way

This morning I was up and ready to figure out what I wanted to work on.

First I needed  to double check my cross stitch that I finished last night. I was thrilled to get it done!

Now I need to wash it and have it ready to be framed. I was surprised at how well it turned out. Again, it's not my "norm." Oh, well, on to the next thing.

I went through my beads, trying to see if I had everything I needed for my gift bead project. I was missing 2 beads. So, I pulled all ...

I Do Believe I'm Becoming A Broken Record! from Quilting My Way

Best laid plans - that's my broken record.

Today started out waiting for my new washer and dryer to arrive. I went downstairs to get the backing and batting cut for Debbie. I also cut some blocks for mom to do stars on.  I contacted Debbie to let her know it was ready. She arrived around the same time as our washer and dryer. The washer went in pretty good. After all the trouble Patrick had yesterday, it made things easier. To a point.....

He then got to work on the dryer....cussing...and worked on it.....cussing....and worked ...

Getting Laundry Caught Up from Quilting My Way

This morning I was up around 7 am. Just couldn't sleep last night. Every hour I was wide awake.

So, I came into the living room and realized I have a lot of laundry to finish. So, I put a load in the wash while Patrick was still sleeping. He got up shortly after I did.

The day was one load after another of laundry. We cleared out the entry to the laundry room and decided to move things around. I moved the step ladder to the closet. Then I cleaned the basket that is right there by the ...

Life Had Other Plans from Quilting My Way

I guess I could have said, Patrick had other plans. Either way, it didn't work in my direction.

We were up and out the door to pick up Phil's order at Home Depot along with buying paint. After all that we went to Walmart - not my favorite place! We picked up a few things including a phone for the landline.

Came home and hooked up the phones. Then I worked on my watch. I had to get the instruction on line. Go Figure!! I had to ask "live chat" where to find them. That took a good 10 ...

Just Enjoying The Day from Quilting My Way

This morning I was up and played for about an hour. Patrick left to go see his friends from work. They meet for coffee now that they are all retired. He said there were 4 of them today. When they first started out it was either 2 or 3 of them. Guess one more retired as well. The City of Chehalis is in trouble with all these guys retiring. Plus with the Corona-virus going on, they don't have the money to hire right now.

While he was gone, I enjoyed listening to my book and working on my beading ...

Shopping and Beading from Quilting My Way

This morning we were out the door by 9 am. We headed to moms to head up to Olympia.

After picking mom up, we headed to Olympia and went to our favorite appliance center. We picked up a washer and dryer. It was amazing how quick it was to pick and purchase. We'll get them on Tuesday. Headed over to Sharon's to pick up 2 quilts for Debbie and the backing material. She showed me her beading! I loved the ornament she was working on. I will need to get the pattern! It's really pretty.

Then we ...

Enjoying The Day With My Daughter from Quilting My Way

This morning we were up early - or I was, then Patrick was about 10 mins behind me. Katt was up way before both of us.

Patrick went outside to work on the yard. He cut down some of the bamboo shoots and trees in the backyard. While he was doing that, I was beading.

I beaded for awhile. Got the 3rd panel half done. Then it was time to go to lunch with Katt. She offer to take me to lunch, which was awesome. We picked up 2 BLT's and then picked them up. We then went to the ...

Preparing....... from Quilting My Way

Today was my day to do my prep for my Colonoscopy tomorrow. It's Father's Day, and I couldn't join in on it.

I was drinking clear liquid and sodas. Before I had to do my prepping, I worked on my beading.

I was able to get the first one done. Now I have 1 & 2 done out of 4.  I worked on finishing that one while Patrick and Katt were outside working on changing the oil.

Then in the beginning of the prepping, I worked on my cross stitch so I could watch a movie with Katt ...

While They Worked, I Played from Quilting My Way

This morning I slept on the couch, then went back to bed. I was snoring up a storm!

When I got up, both Patrick and Katt were already outside working on her Jeep. They were putting on the bumper and winch.

It took about 6 hours for them to get the bumper on and other parts they added. It looks better with this stuff on it.

This is Patrick and Katt. They are really proud at what they did.

They did a good job. Added the heavy jack too. I stayed away while they were working on this. When it ...

Katt Arrived from Quilting My Way

Today I was up early. I was snoring so Patrick was up way before me.

We got to work on vacuuming and cleaning up the house. It needed it. I did a lot of crap in the vacuum. Mopped the floor and got some rugs in the wash.

I sat down to work on my beading when Katt arrived. I helped her unload and get the quilt room picked up with the needles and threads. I didn't want her cat, Harley, to get into something like that. We then sat and chatted. Harley is staying downstairs while Sophie is ...
