What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

This morning, Patrick went golfing. I got up about 30 mins after he left. Then I enjoyed sitting down and playing games. I even watched the documentary on Gene Wilder. It was interesting but only worked on his carrier and not on his childhood.  It was pretty good. Surprised me a couple times. I didn't watch all his movies, partly because it was too silly for me. I never understood why movies made silly movies that were way out in the field. It wasn't funny to me because I didn't understand the jokes sometimes.

Today, I slept in. Hoping to have a day to myself, doing 'Not Much.' But hey, we all know how that works out for me. 

Trouble is, my hubby is home with me ALL DAY! Which usually means he has something for me to do. Yep, that's how that works. I ended up having to clean the kitchen so that we could make apple sauce. He picked the apples 2 days ago. So, he wanted to make the apple sauce before the apples went bad. Lucky me. I ended up peeling the apples while he cut them and started ...

This morning, I was up after Patrick left for his physical therapy appointment. I wanted to sleep in. 

When I did get up, I had a few things to do. I needed to get the veterans entered into the system to receive a quilt. I had 8 to do. Half of them went elsewhere. I sent a message to Cindy to let her know what was what. 

I was also able to get some genealogy done. I was going through the Elder family and found a couple that I was missing information on. I had to do all that before ...

Patrick went golfing and I went to BE. First I had to stop at Phil's then head over to Colleen's to drop off some boxes and a couple of quilt tops to be quilted. I arrived just as she was pulling into her driveway. We chatted a while and then I headed off to McD's for iced tea. 

Arrived to find a semi truck unloading and reloading a huge farm equipment.

I was up and out the door by a quarter to 9. I was heading to Sandy's. It was so good to see her again, and we planned this trip in May but never made it. Today we finally did!

Stopped to get drinks and Sandy gave me "shit" for putting a straw in her coffee. She was laughing so hard it was comical! Funny part is that I use a straw with my drinks from DBs. lol

This morning, Patrick went golfing and I tried to sleep in. Had to get up because I wanted to leave by 9 am. Had things to do. 

First off, I went to the bank for our water system. Then headed to Rite Aid - soon to be CVS. Stopped to chat with Phil since he's only 2 houses down from Rite Aid. Once that was done, I went to the post office and mailed the certificate that Nancy redid for me. Next was Colleen's dropping off a quilt top. We chatted for a while, and she told me about ...

This morning, Patrick was up way before me. I thought he was going to sleep in, but he didn't. 

I worked on my exercises and was glad to be done with them. I'm getting tired of them, so have cut it down to once a day instead of twice a day. 

Then I decided I wanted to work on the beading. Patrick had the table set so I could. I found it was pretty easy to work on my beading now that the table is cleared.

This morning, Patrick took off for golfing. I slept in till about 8 am. Then I was up, getting laundry going, working on my exercises and getting a few things done. Once I was done, I took a deep breath and tried to decide what I wanted to do. So, I sat down to bead. 

Three rows later, I was done. Patrick got home and I needed to go get some blueberries. I got a text from Phil and had to go into town later in the afternoon. At least I could get the rows done before I headed out ...

 Yet another day goes by. Thursday...not Wednesday....not Monday....Thursday. 

I ended up playing games in the morning. Wasn't in the mood for much. Then as the afternoon came in view, I realized I needed to get off my butt and do something. I was able to get some laundry done today. Felt good to get caught up. 

Then I went and worked on my beading. 

Tried to get 3 rows but only made it to 2. The noise looks funny right now. I'm hoping it will get better the more I do. I do see the ...

Today I was out the door by 9 am. Patrick wasn't doing well. I was a little worried about leaving him. I had to stop at a couple places and then make it to the grange. Colleen had a quilt for me, then I had to stop at Micheals for some floss. When I was done, Geralyn called to say McD's made a mistake and gave us sweet tea and could I pick up the other. So, I did. 

We sat and chatted for a while. Alice stopped in. We gave her the sweet tea. 

This morning, both Patrick and I slept in. We really didn't feel like getting up. 

Once the day got started, we did some cleaning. Then he went outside to relax on the deck while I beaded.

Today was a day where there were no plans. So, I enjoyed it by doing laundry and beading. 

I worked on Sophie today. It's coming along. I am at her noise now. This is coming along. Her body is coming to view as well. It's going to be fun. I did have a couple places where I had to replace a couple beads. I know which ones they are because of the glass. When one can see through the bead, then it's clear and that break very easily. I think I have a couple more in the ...

The day started out slowly. We were without water later in the day. So, I couldn't do anything I wanted to that needed water. At least they were fixing the water pump of the community well. 

I played in the morning, then I went to work on my beading. 

Today I was out the door by 9:15 to be waiting in line for Safeway. I bought some cheese, and the container lid was broken, so I showed it to the checkout person. She had someone go get another one, but they didn't have another one. So, she gave me $2 off. That took time, of course. Then I went to Rite Aid and waited in line there. The gal in front of me had to wait longer than me, I think. She kept looking around for someone to check on her. Took a while. Once she was ...

 It's been a long day. I played my game for a bit, then I wanted to find something to do. I had till 1 pm when the "war" game was on. 

I decided to put my beading stuff together. I laid everything out and thought I could do a row or two. OH NO! Not in my lifetime! I had to count the rows to make sure I was on track - that was. As it turned out, I was missing a bead. Not sure where the tube was or if I used that color for something else. I went ...

 This morning, we stayed pretty quiet. I did get some work on getting the word chart going. I haven't finished the deer part and wanted to get moving on it. So, I was able to get another 11 rows done before we had to leave. 

We were meeting Kelsey at Jeremy's in town. I had a quilt for her to quilt. Then we stopped at Colleen's, and she was waiting to see if I had anything. Told her no, gave it to Kelsey. So, she can work on a quilt top with those blocks I gave her ...

This morning, we decided to go to the casino today. We are not doing the Tuesday and Friday thing. Even though Friday has the money, we didn't get as much this time, and we were getting tired of going. So, we decided since there is extra money on Wednesdays, we would go then. Like Patrick said, it's a gimmick and with something going on every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, it's not worth our going all three days. I agree. So, we played for a while today. This time we did use up some of our money, but ...

This morning, I wanted to sleep in. I did for a bit, but not as much as I wanted to. 

I got to work on washing my Santa Claus. I have someone to frame it and need to get the size. I will work on that this week. 

Then I played my game for a bit. I had to get a few things done, and came into the computer room to send out 48 emails letting the veterans know when to expect receiving a quilt. I had done some yesterday and finished it up today. That takes a lot of ...

This morning, we went to Colleen's to drop off more garage sale stuff. She gave me a couple things too. I picked up another quilt, which will help on our count. I'm still waiting to hear from one of our quilters to see if she wants to quilt another quilt. 

We then went to the casino. We played a couple hours. When we were ahead about $200, we decided to quit and come home. I think we were getting a little tired of playing. Now we are thinking of going on Wednesdays instead of Tuesdays. Not sure if ...

This morning, Patrick left for a haircut (thank goodness). I stayed home and played for a bit. Then he came home to head out again. He went to Phils and then moms to fix her quilt frame - and may need to go back and fix it again. It's over 100 years old and someone already messed with it. He couldn't fix it, so he cut the screws off. Now if you wanted to put the feet back on, you can't. So, it's messed up. I don't think there is anything old in moms how that ...
