Sunday Chat – Garden and Wildlife from From My Carolina Home

The rain last weekend really did bring out the green in the countryside, in the grass and ground covers, bushes and trees. The range of green in spring is wonderful, an awakening of the land. Settle in with your favorite cuppa, and enjoy a long and picture heavy post. As the hostas are coming up, I’ve noticed the deer stopping by more often. This day there were three, this one was at the edge of my hosta bed.

Warming days means digging in the dirt and our flower season is revving up, too. Last week I got out and made a lot of progress in my planting. There was a lot going on in the garden, so get ready for a picture heavy post. In the flowerbed, the tulips are still going nicely, such a pretty pink!

On this holiday weekend, I thought it would be nice to spend Sunday in the garden.  As the days blend into each other, it is becoming a challenge to remember what day it is, LOL!!  Today, let’s pause and enjoy the beauty in the world around us, and rejoice in nature’s bounty of spring, counting our blessings and hopefully keeping healthy.  The first of the irises began blooming this week, pretty two tone purple, with the pink redbud blooming in the background.
