hitting re-set . . . from Count it *all* JOY!

My blogging missed all of June ... and a good portion of July.  And would be about 1,000 pictures long if I tried to catch up at this point.  Sometimes you just need a reset.

Welcome to my "re-set" post . . .   Who am I kidding?  I'll try to keep the pics to a minimum.

Life is going well.  Busy, but good.  I'm sleeping better (thanks to the second shoulder surgery I had in February ... which should hit full healing in about seven weeks) which makes such an amazing difference to quality of life!

Got a hair cut this past ...

Retreat inspiration from Fleur de Lis Quilts and Accessories

My retreat sisters worked on a variety of quilts over the weekend. Oh my! What a beautiful array of works in progress. Here are the ones I was able to grab photos of before they were taken down to make room for more.

“Made especially for you by Maureen Oleson” “For Sara Lynne and Michael Francis Kitchen on the occasion of their wedding” “Made with tender loving care by Grandma Martin”
Do these phrases ring a bell? I’ve had three found quilts, from three very different situations, in very different US locations, reported to me recently. If you know who these people are or recognize any of these quilts please contact me at Let’s get these quilts back home!

Anniversary celebration with Sweet Treasures Quilts! from Carried Away Quilting

Today I want to wish a happy Five Year Anniversary to the team at Sweet Treasures Quilts. While owner Terri Staats has been an inspiring part of the quilting world for many years, her Sweet Treasures Studio opened just five years ago this month. What I wouldn’t give to spend a day, or better yet a weekend, sewing away with Terri and friends at her studio! Isn't this a fabulous space?

Located in Keizer, Oregon, Sweet Treasures is both an online quilt shop and a sewing studio/store. Terri began her quilting journey in pattern design and teaching ...

Happy Anniversary from Romany Quilting

My goodness, doesn’t time go.  It’s our anniversary today – 35 years!  And during our anniversary month I like to put a special quilt on the bed.  First of all, off came our cozy cat quilt with the woolen batting, which I tend to use in the winter months.  I washed it and here it is flapping on the clothesline in the Spring sunshine.  Made in the “House Cats” pattern, this was a memory quilt with some blocks made by my overseas pen friends and quilting buddies at the time, to remember our original cat, Misty.  The pale pink ...

Sunday Quilt Inspiration: Anniversary from Fleur de Lis Quilts and Accessories

Richard and I are celebrating our 40th anniversary today. We had the boys and their families over for a big Sunday lunch and then babysat Milly for a few minutes. All this to say I'm skipping today's post in lieu of the exhaustion. I'll catch you next Sunday.

Recovered! 50th Anniversary Double Wedding Ring from Lost Quilt Come Home Page

LenhartGeorgeJudy-DWR1Judy Lenhart George hopes that someone might have found the 50th Anniversary Double Wedding Ring quilt that she made for her parents, John and Rita Lenhart. The quilt was last seen on October 1, 2012 in Maumee, Ohio. Rita was packing to move to Northwestern (Niagara Falls), New York. The quilt was last seen in a linen closet in a commercial, clear plastic, comforter-size bag with a white zipper.

In November 2017 a friend found this quilt at a rummage sale and got it back! So, this quilt has now been recovered!!!

This full size quilt is machine pieced and ...

2 of our Favorite Things from Bear Patch Quilting

It's time for another anniversary moment, and it's a two-fer!

It's not too hard to guess what I'm talking about when you see this picture!

Honestly, I'm pretty sure that if Bear Patch had lived in a previous life, it would have been a ribbon store.  That's the kind of prettiness that is just under the surface when Debbie is choosing goods for the store!  She could easily slip over the edge and buy racks and racks of ribbons and trims!  I've been there.  I've seen the lust in her eyes when ...

Our 11th Celebration of our 20th Anniversary! from Bear Patch Quilting

We just love to celebrate!  We find many occasions to celebrate our customers, our store, our employees, the fact that the sun was shining all day yesterday, etc.!
You know we have been celebrating our anniversary all year long, right?  So, November 20 is upon us!  And what better thing to share with you than one of our favorite pattern designers!

Pat, of Villa Rosa Designs, is always producing plenty of inspiration!  I can't even tell you how many times we have used her patterns, sometimes repeatedly!  Her patterns are printed on heavy cardstock in glossy color.  One side ...

More Goodies For Our Anniversary Celebration! from Bear Patch Quilting

We are happy to have you back again for one more reason to celebrate Bear Patch's 20 years of fabric fun!
Come to the store on Friday, October 20, from 9am - 5pm.
You will be rewarded with one of these mighty fine glass nail files!
This type of file is so nice to use, it doesn't bend or peel apart, and lasts a very long time.

According to a Sally Hansen nail ambassador (I didn't know that was a real thing!), these glass files are better for your nails.  "Glass files, also known as crystal files, regardless ...

September 20! from Bear Patch Quilting

It's a challenge to pick what's the next fun anniversary treat each month!  So many good things to choose from - we want something fun, unique, handy to have.
When we saw these little cork coasters, it seemed like a natural choice.  Because it's a natural product!
It fits in the bottom of the cup holders in your cars, trucks, boats, strollers, RV, and probably even in your private plane!  We'll have to try that in our corporate jet.

It catches any drips from your cups and bottles.  It keeps the cup holder clean, and can be ...
