Charity Quilting from Becca's Crazy Projects

A fun scrappy quilt pieced by me using some very small bits. I made some risky choices and I might make this differently if I make another.
Simple quilts can be so fun. I pieced this one using a yard of the blue on brown floral and some leftovers. It's fun when I get my own tops back for quilting. Both trimmed and ready for the next Annapolis Quilts for Kids

Crochet Crazy from Becca's Crazy Projects

I finished my mosaic crochet hat. I am not as pleased with my yarn choices as I was in the beginning but it is a hat. If I make this again, I'm going down a hook size. I think my work was too loose.
The pattern for this hat is from Sixel Design and can be found in their book

Odds and Ends from Becca's Crazy Projects

It has been awhile since I did one of these posts and I don't have much going on this week.
I decided to try a mosaic crochet project from Dark & Dramatic Mosaic Crochet by Sixel Design. So many fun designs and so little time. Mosaic crochet is a great skill to add to your crochet toolbox.
This is one of my portable design boards stacked with cut pieces ready for assembly. This is one of the ways I get so many charity quilts pieced. Preparation is important. You don't have to do it all at once but having ...

Hand Embroidery from Becca's Crazy Projects

Several years ago I picked up this kit from a local craft event. The kit is from ricrack. It has everything you need. It is a great way to get an introduction to hand embroidery. Perfect as a gift to a crafty person or if you want to give hand embroidery a try. I've been working on it during a regular Dungeons & Dragon in-person, tabletop game. I've worked on it for two sessions. My guess is that I will work on it for another session.

Becoming People of Peace in an Anxious World from Quilt in Piece

We are living in anxious times. Many people are carrying more than they say. There is tension in our country, tension in our communities, tension in families, and often tension within our own hearts. We hear rumours, warnings, angry words, political noise, economic fears, and stories of violence. Even when nothing has happened directly to us, our bodies can still carry the weight of it. We become alert, guarded, tired, and sometimes suspicious of one another. Into this kind of world, the call of Christ does not ask us to pretend that everything is fine. Christian peace does not grow ...
