On Saturday I headed to Annapolis Quilts for Kids. I dropped off 13 quilts ready for binding.

I grabbed a couple kits to piece and share with sewing peeps.

Being Part of God’s Family from Quilt in Piece

Week 1, Friday: The Intimacy of “Our” – Being Part of God’s Family Scripture: “This, then, is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven…’” (Matthew 6:9) As we continue our Lenten journey, we pause today to reflect on a small but powerful word in the Lord’s Prayer: “Our.” This single word shifts the focus of our prayer from individual concerns to a communal faith. Jesus did not teach us to pray “My Father” but “Our Father,” drawing us into the profound truth that faith is not a solitary path but a shared pilgrimage. The word “Our” emphasizes ...

Who is God as Father? from Quilt in Piece

Week 1, Thursday: “Our Father in heaven” – Who is God as Father? Scripture: “This, then, is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven…’” (Matthew 6:9) In the opening words of the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus invites us to address God as “Our Father in heaven.” This address is both profound and revolutionary, reshaping our understanding of who God is. Today, we are invited to contemplate what it truly means to call God “Father” and to reflect on the nature of this relationship. To call God “Father” is to recognize His active, caring involvement in our lives. Unlike earthly ...

Ash Wednesday: Introduction to Lent and The Lord’s Prayer from Quilt in Piece

Week 1, Ash Wednesday: Introduction to Lent and The Lord’s Prayer Scripture: “This, then, is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name…’” (Matthew 6:9) Lent is upon us—a season set aside for reflection, repentance, and renewal. It invites us into a time of intentional focus on our spiritual lives, to look inward, and to take a hard but healing look at where we need to change. Ash Wednesday, the first day of this sacred journey, is particularly poignant. We begin this season by receiving ashes on our foreheads, reminding ourselves of our ...

Join us for a special daily reflection series, “Prayers for Renewal: A Journey Through the Lord’s Prayer,” where we will explore the powerful words that Jesus taught His disciples. Crochet Crazy from Becca's Crazy Projects

Each round is taking more time now.
I missed photographing the last light gray round and I wasn't going to frog for a photo.
I had to grab a bigger project bag to hold it because my medium bag wasn't cutting it any more.
Still loving this blanket. Are you working on any long-term projects?

Charity Quilting from Becca's Crazy Projects

On Saturday I dropped off 16 quilted and trimmed quilts at Annapolis Quilts for Kids.
I also dropped off 7 tops I pieced over the last few weeks.
While there, I picked up 17 quilts and backings to quilt up over the next few weeks.
I also grabbed some random fabrics to cut some more kits to sew up. I will combine these with leftovers quilt backings into quilt tops. How do you manage your scraps?

Crochet Crazy from Becca's Crazy Projects

Another round on the star blanket. This is a great project. I've almost memorized the pattern. Just a few more rounds.
I think the next one I make will be a different color every row. Because I like to challenge myself.

I recently discovered darning needles from Clover (affiliate link). If you aren't a fan of threading your yarn needle, I highly recommend these. Super easy to thread and longer than my other darning needles.

Quilt Piecing from Becca's Crazy Projects

I've been piecing more charity quilts. This one is great if you have a stack of 2.5" strips.
I pulled colors from the cute owl print to make the blocks and borders.
I pulled most of these squares from the stack to coordinate with the border print. I didn't have much yellow, though.
Another scrappy quilt made using small 2.5" by 4.5" bricks and pairing with a selection of random 6.5" squares. Framed with a couple borders for a neat finish.

These will be bundled up and dropped off with Annapolis Quilts for Kids ...

Brown Bag Mystery Quilt from Becca's Crazy Projects

I don't know what it is about these mystery quilts that I love so much. That doesn't matter. I popped over to The Crabby Quilter, one of my local quilt shops, and picked up a kit and the Creative Grids Square on Square Trim Tool (3in or 6in).
I admit I chose it because of those cute, little kitties! I'm excited to get started on this project. Every year this is an adventure that takes me outside my comfort zone. I'm here for it!

Crochet Crazy from Becca's Crazy Projects

This one is coming in a little late today. I forgot all about it until after my workday.
At any rate, I've been working on my star blanket all week.
Some days I get a round finished.
Some days I don't. I think I almost have the pattern down. I'm having fun and it keeps growing. I see more of these in my future. Perhaps with loads of different colors, or self-striping cakes, and even different yarns for some added texture. Stick around to see how it grows.

Quilt Piecing from Becca's Crazy Projects

I've been piecing quilts, too. This Trip Around the World is one I made recently. The trick to this one is having enough fabrics to make it work.
This one uses a few chicken fabrics, along with coordinating red and gold to make a fun chicken-themed quilt.
For this one, I pulled together reds and a gray to work with the polar bear print in several of the blocks.

Crochet Crazy from Becca's Crazy Projects

Last month YouTube fed me some videos about the 6-Day Crochet Star blanket from Betty McKnit. I decided I wanted to make one. I sat down with my copy of the pattern, and the YouTube videos and got stitching.
I'm using up some yarn I picked up from one of the big box stores. I have a collection of blues and grays that I'll be using for this project. I'll try to post periodically to show you how I'm progressing.
