Crochet Crazy from Becca's Crazy Projects

This is one of the best choose-your-own-adventure projects I've done. Just three more rounds but I don't work on it very often. I wonder if I could make a sweater like this...

Before the First Candle is Lit from Quilt in Piece

As we stand on the threshold of Advent, there is a quiet invitation that begins to stir in the soul. It is the soft rustle of hope rising again, the tender nudge of God’s Spirit reminding us that our story is held within a much greater story, one shaped by mercy, truth, and promise. Before the candles are lit and before the hymns of longing fill our churches, there is a moment like this, where Christ the King meets us and steadies us for the road ahead. Christ the King Sunday is far more than a crown or a ...

Charity Quilting from Becca's Crazy Projects

Little scraps can make such fun little quilts. Pieced by me using so many different leftovers from other quilts. The pattern is Bitcoin by Bonnie Hunter.
I grabbed a collection of blues to make this fun and scrappy potato-chip quilt. These are great for using up small pieces. Both trimmed and ready for the next Annapolis Quilts for Kids

On Saturday I dropped off 17 quilts and 3 pieced quilt tops.
I also picked up quilts, kits, and a roll of batting.
Now I have 7 quilts to quilt, and two kits to assemble. I also grabbed some backing for a quilt top I'm working on.

Crochet Crazy from Becca's Crazy Projects

I've decided to not just go scrappy with my next 6-Day Crochet Star blanket.
I've sorted my colors into 20 colors and when it is time to start a new row I grab my hand 20-sided die and roll for the next color. I selected the first couple (the yellow and grays) colors but I'm all about the random colors now.

Tips for Piecing a Quilt Backing from Becca's Crazy Projects

Every once in a while I am forced to piece backing for a quilt.
First: Always rip your fabric to ensure everything is on-grain. If you don't know what that means, just push the I-Believe button and carry on.

Second: Always leave the selvage edge along one side and keep those edges together consistently. This helps you keep one long edge straight.

Third: Always sew those torn pieces of fabric together using a 5/8" seam allowance. This ensures you have plenty of fabric in the seam allowance.
Fourth: Always have your longest seam run the length of the ...

Puzzling from Becca's Crazy Projects

The last time I was at Games & Stuff, I picked up this puzzle. While I share my puzzle finds with links to Amazon, I hope you can shop local. One of the great things about this puzzle is that it doesn't include plastic inside the box. The puzzle piece envelop is paper, and that's great!
It also includes two mini-posters so two puzzlers can have their own copy while piecing.
I pieced it over about five days. It was fun and I will definitely share this one with my puzzle friends. There is so much more to this ...

Machine Embroidery from Becca's Crazy Projects

My darling asked for a folding dice tray for an in-person role-playing game they are in. I happened to have this delightful machine embroidery design by String Theory Fabric Art. So many fun and nerdy designs!
This is the largest size of the Feature Fabric Appliqué Portable Dice Tray ITH design. I used some gray marine vinyl and some fun dungeon fabric I bought from Spoonflower a couple years ago. The snaps are KAM snaps.
