Charity Quilting from Becca's Crazy Projects

Pieced using a collection of reds and creams by me.
I centered this one around that delightful cat fabric, pulling in turkey reds and paper-bag tans. Both trimmed and ready to drop off with Annapolis Quilts for Kids.

Charity Quilting from Becca's Crazy Projects

This wonderful little quilt was created using this fun hexagon print as the center and then framed with coordinating prints. I really love how simple this was and it looks like it took ages! Check out my Large Prints post to see how I make these.
This one was pieced by Connie. I quilted it with a fun starburst design.
Use up those scraps! I pieced this one using a mash-up of blues and yellows. I quilted it using a cloud design. All three are quilted and ready to drop of with Annapolis Quilts for Kids.

Threads from the Heartland: Quilted from Becca's Crazy Projects

I finally got this quilt kit quilt onto the long arm and quilted.
I went with a Baptist fan design because it seemed like it would fit the style of the prints. The design is Kristin's Easy Baptist Fan from Urban Elementz. Their library of quilting designs is great when you have an idea of what you want.
I need to find some binding and finish this one.

Kit from Joann Fabrics (ages ago) called Threads from the Heartland.

Large Prints from Becca's Crazy Projects

Sometimes I have a really large print that can become a little quilt without much piecing. Cutting these fabrics into squares will give you squares that don't look much like the overall fabric. For those large prints, it is a good idea to use them like you would a panel. I had less than a yard of this print and it was a good candidate for this kind of quilt. I started by cutting my center to 30.5" by as long as the fabric I had available. In this case, I my center was cut to 30.5 ...

Crochet Crazy: Friday Finish! from Becca's Crazy Projects

It has been a while since I updated on my 6-Day Crochet Star blanket.
I ended the same way I started: with light gray. It's nice to finish something. I need to see what I have to make a scrappy version of this one. Some of the one's I've seen are simply stunning.

Pattern: 6-Day Crochet Star blanket from Betty McKnit

Quilts for Kids: April from Becca's Crazy Projects

21 quilts quilted and dropped off with Annapolis Quilts for Kids on Saturday.
7 quilt tops pieced also dropped off, or paired with backings.
I picked up 20 tops pieced by other members of Annapolis Quilts for Kids. I'll spend the next few weeks quilting them. I also grabbed some fabric to cut a couple more tops to sew. Working with Annapolis Quilts for Kids makes a difference.
