 Last year I accumulated 173 yards of fabric - which had to weigh 519 pounds. No wonder my house is creaking. If each quilt averaged 20 yards that is 8 1/2 quilts. I used 233 1/2 yards in my quilt making. In my mind I pick up a little here and there, not almost 200 yards. If I say I won't buy any over 100 yards this year. what will I do if I buy all of that in January. That leaves 11 months of no fabric.

I am facing a scrap dilema. I am sure I have officially more scraps than yardage, but I can't find room for them or all the scrap quilts I want to make. They are piling up higher and higher. And it seems that the more I cut, the more there is. They are lurking behind every corner, under every surface, hanging from the ceiling. There is some in the garage, attic, and basement. I have a box that has arrived from Missourri star quilt, but, I haven't even opened yet. just in case hubby needs a gift for me haha

But I am playing with fabric. I am still sorting through the crumbs and strings into baggies by color. It makes a huge mess but will help with a rainbow project for next year.

 I have avoided working on boho heart until the last minute. It seems complicated to me. But, I finally sat down and sewed a section together, and it has encouraged me to continue. This is the top left part of the heart.

I have the blocks ready to go for the next "row" under this piece.

We are into the last quarter of WIPs Be Gone with less than 25 days left in the year. (Where did 2021 go!?) It's UFOvember so I'm updating my dormant list of projects. I lovingly refer to them all as WIPs. They aren't forgotten, unfinished projects that will never see the light of day. They are works in progress, albeit some in a state of hiatus.

Friends, this list is LONG. If you've been reading my blog for a while you'll know that I always tend to have a lot of projects in progress. An "eyes bigger than my stomach" kind of problem. But this is a lot, even for me. And since a lot of them are ...

I took the opportunity to buy a few precuts - I am getting lazy. I bought 3 honey buns, and 3 mini charm packs from missourri star. The mini charms have 84 squares in each pack. I know I will use this neutral color in just about everything.

How many quilting UnFinished Objects do you have? Do you know?

I used to post a quarterly list of all the projects here on my blog. I loved it. I could see everything in one place and that meant that I didn't have hidden projects out of sight, out of mind. Nothing surprised me when I opened a closet or cabinet that hadn't been opened in a while. It's been just over two years since my last Finish Along blog post. I'm not really sure how many projects I have now... and I've maybe forgotten ...

Finally,  I have finished a quilt! There wasn't much left really, just about half of the border that needed to be sewn by hand before we moved. And then we moved... I had packed the quilt into a suitcase rather than a box to retrieve it quicker. But I hadn't packed hand sewing needles or any energy/ motivation...

And finally last week, I did the last few stitches on the binding to have a finished quilt!

 These are so beautiful. I like to add to my reproduction fabrics from time to time, although I don't have any projects in mind for them. And I like charm squares, even though there is an upcost to them for being cut. But, I like the variety.

 Somehow this week, I sewed a few orange color blocks for the rainbow scrap challenge at so scrappy. I have strip sets to sew a couple more blocks. I am just a little behind.

Today was the first day of the last 100 days of 2021. Time sure flies. I've mentioned in recent blog posts that I did #99DaysofWIPs this summer, from Memorial Day to Labor day, focusing on WIPs that were started in classes. I finished three small bags, two pillow covers, and five quilts in that time. Plus progress on a handful of other projects.
