read moreI am teaching at The Quilt Crossing in Boise Idaho in June. The owner of the shop is a fan of my work. She commissioned a One Block Wonder from me last year. Laura really loves Halloween and made an offer on QT Fabric‘s “Creepin it Real”.
I accepted her offer. She had 7 more “Creepin It Real” panels. These panels would enable me to make it again.
It is fun to see the differences. With the first “Creepin It Real” I cut my strips 3.75″ for 6″ finished hexies. With “Creepin It Real 2″, I cut my ...

Unit B
Begin with Unit B: Half Square Triangles. You will need 16 half-square triangles divided into two different color combinations.
Island Batik's February Challenge and BlogHop requires the ambassadors to use their assigned Fall 2024 collection (I got Radiant Burst) and the Studio 180 Design Tool (I got Wing Clipper) to make a Table Runner or a Bed Runner.
Sounds simple? Yes. But wait there is more.
1. We must make at least 12 units.
2. Use as many fabrics (from the 20 in the collection) as possible.
NOW, we have a challenge :-)
Well, here is my response.

And I used leftover blocks from Mirabelle to make the backing, so it is two-sided.

I always try to find the story the fabric is telling me. The Blooming Bouquet panel designed by Suzanne Allard and QT Fabrics transported me to Paris.

I cut my strips 2.75” which yields 4” finished hexies. There were 210 hexies. I let the design tell me what it needs to tell a good story. After cutting my strips I had about 2.25” strip left. This allowed me to cut diamonds and make 11 kaleidoscope Star 60 units. I added 4” finished Hollow Cube 60’s and a 12” hollow Cube with 4” cubes inside it to represent the stables.
