Easy Star & Loop Meander – Quilting Stitch Tutorial from Quilt Addicts Anonymous

For our remake of Twinkle, I chose a super simple star and loop meander.

This design is very beginner friendly. You just need to be able to quilt a loop and a five-pointed star, both of which you probably have been doodling since grade school.

I love this design because it is fast, simple and looks great on kids quilts and patriotic quilts.

I quilted this on my longarm, but it is just as easy on your home sewing machine. Enjoy and tag us on the socials if you give it a go.

Today I’m showing you how I quilted All the Pretties, our latest Stashin’ with Stephanie pattern.

I didn’t have a ton of time for quilting … we’ve all be there … so I pulled out one of my tried and true all over stitches for a fun, whimsical quilting stitch that is easy and super fast.

The Double Loop meander is very easy to master. You’re just making one loop, then a bigger loop around it going clockwise, switching directions and going counter clockwise for the next set of loops and repeating until your quilt is done.

This is our last video celebrating Nocturne, my first fabric collection with QT Fabrics which is shipping now. We saved one of my favorite quilts for last, Garden Plot, which is available in my book Fat Quarter Workshop.

In today’s Quilting the Quilt video I show you how I quilted Sparkle, one of our Stashin’ with Stephanie patterns from a few months ago. I used a combination of rulerwork to outline the diamonds, a topographic free motion quilting design within each diamond and swirls in the background.
