Florid Bloom Finish from Becca's Crazy Projects

I quilted this quilt back in January. Where has the year gone? I finally got around to attaching the binding.
It's stripy and wonderful! A great finish even if it took a long time.

Charity Quilting from Becca's Crazy Projects

Saturday I dropped off a stack of quilts ready for binding and picked up a bag full of finished tops and a roll of batting. Then, I got back to quilting.
I pieced both of these and now they are ready to go back to  Annapolis Quilts for Kids. I have so many more to quilt. It's going to be a great month!

Charity Quilting from Becca's Crazy Projects

Some days I need a quick and easy project. This little quilt was just the ticket.
Six-inch blocks combined with a narrow border and a wide border make for a quick finish. I pieced and quilted this charity quilt in a single day. This one will join the rest headed back to Annapolis Quilts for Kids.

Charity Quilting from Becca's Crazy Projects

While searching for a paper pattern I found this little quilt top. I'm fairly certain I pieced it when I lived in New York state. I left New York in 2005. I decided it was time to finish it.
I found some coordinating backing, loaded it up and got quilting. It's great to finish something that has been waiting so long.

I really like these stacked blocks. So simple yet effective.
Both were pieced by members of  Annapolis Quilts for Kids. I will hand them over for binding at the next meeting.

I will hand these back to Mary at the next Annapolis Quilts for Kids meeting so she can attach the binding.

I've been squeezing in some quilting in the evening on these little quilts.

This one is made with some pretty fun flannel fabrics.

Charity Quilting from Becca's Crazy Projects

I've been making these little 4-patch blocks using leftovers for a while now. I combined them with some 4.5" squares to piece a top for Annapolis Quilts for Kids.
This is a great way to use of some of the fabrics left over from other quilts. The border holds it all together. I will add this one to quilt count once I get it quilted and ready for binding.

100 Blocks 100 Days Finish from Becca's Crazy Projects

I grabbed my scrappy binding and got stitching.
I love all the little details in this quilt. Look at that little skeleton!
I used almost 30 feet of binding and I didn't even make a dent in that bin of leftover binding.
This was my all-time favorite sampler quilt. Just a great project.

Check out the great images folks are sharing on Instagram under #100days100blocks2021. Newly finished quilts are showing up so you can see how people are putting these blocks together.

Charity Quilting from Becca's Crazy Projects

After a slow start to my week (I was doing things not fun, nor crafty) I finally picked up some speed.
First, I pieced a little charity quilt using some 5" squares I had leftover from other projects.
Laying them out was likely the longest part of making this quilt. I didn't have that many sets of five to make the pluses. In the end I think it worked out fine. I may need to see how many more charm squares I have and make another.
This little cutie was mad using even more leftovers. This time, the 2 ...

Crazy Week from Becca's Crazy Projects

This week has been a little crazy. Not bad. Just not as productive as I wanted it to be.

As a demonstration, here is what my cutting table looked like at bedtime on Tuesday. Hopefully I will have something more substantial to share on Friday. Enjoy the rest of your week!

100 Blocks 100 Days from Becca's Crazy Projects

I finished my blocks in October 2021
I managed to get the blocks arranged and sewn up in March 2022. These things don't happen quickly. I added a 3" border to frame those 100 blocks.
I even pieced the backing, because that's how scrappy quilts can be.
For binding, I dug into my bin of leftover binding. Yes, this is a thing some quilters have. Mine never gets enough love. There are so many leftover pieces. I need to come up with another good scrappy idea to use some more of it up.
I spend a bunch of ...
