What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

We've finally arrived at the end of this year's Hands2Help Comfort Quilt Challenge, and you all did such an excellent job!  At my final count, we had 106 active participants (those who made it all the way to the end of the Challenge), and you all created an amazing number of quilts!  Do you want to know how many?

Well, I only had one more batch of pictures to share, and not much progress on anything of my own to whoop about, so I thought I'd just combine the last H2H pictures with Whoop Whoop Friday!

Well, I know today is supposed to be the end of the Hands2Help Comfort Quilt Challenge for 2023, but I just don't feel like letting a good thing come to an end!  (Actually, my week last week got very busy and I am behind, but I'm going to try to correct that this week...) So I'm going to give you another week to share your posts and pictures, since several of you inadvertently missed the deadline - see how nicely that works out?  And I'll be sharing the myriad of pictures that I've received ...

Well, better late than never - with a long day driving on Saturday and all the busy-ness that Sunday entails, today's Hands2Help post completely slipped my mind.  Then, as I was sitting in my chair this evening going through email, I saw a message from someone who sent pictures of their quilts and I thought, "Hmmm, I guess I can post those on Friday..." and realized that I had forgotten the final link-up post!  So we're getting a late start, and for that I'm sorry!

I don't have a whole lot (in pictures) to show for this week, although I'm whooping over several things - we have finished all the quilts needed for our two big quilt projects, and I have finished cleaning out and planting in my little back garden!  I've also got a quilt loaded on the frame and ready to quilt tomorrow, which took me giving procrastination a kick ...

Welcome back for another week of fun as we continue this year's Hands2Help Comfort Quilt Challenge!  I'm so excited to report that we now have 141 people signed up for the Challenge - isn't that amazing? I just love how quilters always step up when the call goes out for comfort quilts.  It's the best thing about our community!

Slowly but surely, at least on my end, things are moving along for this year's Challenge!  To date, we have 83 people signed up to participate, and I so love seeing both all the old friends on the list and the new ones we get to make as we go!! There's still plenty of time to sign up to participate, and don't worry - there's no horrible pressure or major commitment!  It's not the end of the world if you have to drop out along the way - so go ahead and sign up if ...

Happy Friday quilters! I got a few quilts arriving recently gifted to CiL through this year's H2H drive from some lovely quilters.  Kathy W. sent in these first two very bright and colorful quilts.  

I always have a soft spot for "home" themed quilts, and I love these scrappy houses.

The next 3 quilts came from Kathy B.  She made one from the Jan/Feb string block drive blocks and two awesome patriotic quilts. 

All of the tiny, pieced blocks in this flag quilt are too cool. I love the overall effect.

If you have a layer cake in your stash, that hasn't found a perfect quilt, this is for you. Usually Layer Cakes have 20 fabrics, two squares of each fabric for a total of 40 squares. Of course you don't need a layer cake to make this block.
