Gnomes in the Garden 1 from Virtual Quilter

I want these gnomes to come into my garden!

I rescued half a dozen quilt designs from this project, but have put sorting the blocks on the list for a rainy day … or maybe a fortnight! I saved every step of designing and colouring every block, and there are a lot of basic designs!

Today is the last day of the Shop At Home Blog Hop and it has been a wonderful experience to do something like this. I can honestly say I’d do it again in a heartbeat… It’s been wonderful to see all the new visitors to my blog and the kind comments you’ve made about the gnomes. I love them and am glad you’re enjoying them also. Today, we have the last of the ten shops on the list, I will also list the other 30 below today’s list in case you’re just getting started ...

Day 3 of Shop At Home BH and more gnomes… from Seams To Be Sew

With today’s post, you’ve hopefully visited all of the previous shops, but for those of you just getting started, I will post those links below today’s list for your convenience. For me, this has been a wonderful chance to meet many new designers that I never realized were out there and get to know them thru there blogs or patterns. I’m In Love With Some Gnomes from Seams To Be Sew

Hi all, I know it seems silly to release these literally the day before Valentine’s. It’s been somewhat difficult to get these done when I wanted to release them as I gained permission to distribute SVG cutting files from artwork during the creation of these patterns and of course, I had to take the time to create the SVG files, thus, they are getting released today. Most of today’s patterns are very quick and easy and require little or no embroidery. I sure hope you like them. These come in sizes 9×12 and 12×15, both ...

Pictures of Pictures in Quilting from Quilted Joy

There are a lot of really fun picture blocks out there. If you have a hobby or interest, it doesn’t matter how far out it is,  somewhere there is a quilt design that can reflect it. Many are paper pieced. This is when you add swaths of fabric right sides together under the paper pattern and stitch through the paper and fabric on a printed or drawn line. The fabric is cut to shape after it is sewn together when you trim the seam allowance before pressing it open and adding the next piece of fabric. It sounds complicated ...

fantastic star from Making A Lather

In an effort to catch up a back log of rainbow sewing, I have made a purple scraptastic star. I really like making these. I have 2 1/2 inch squares in little boxes and they are generally one of a kind. I don't usually cut squares unless that is the last possible cut I can get from them. I prefer to keep strips and cut squares if I need them.

A friend at a recent sew in had started making these trolls for Christmas presents. I think they are very cute.
I tried to talk her into doing ...

Freedom from Sewn With Curves

How the year has flown by. I didn't believe adults when I was younger telling me that time just flies by as you get older but I am a believer. Now that I am 40, I can only imagine how quickly things will happen. Fingers crossed that I am ready for it.

I lost my sewing mojo for a while, hence the lack of posts in recent months. This was the first time in years that I didn't sew everyone's Christmas presents. I have decided to not put any stress on myself for any reason to finish ...
