floating stars finish from Making A Lather

We had a Spring surprise this week...snow and 3-4 inches. It was so pretty. There were big fluffy flakes falling against a blue sky. And it accumulated through the night. Snow in April is much more fun than snow in January. We know it just won't last, and, we can just enjoy it.




I have a finish. The floating stars quilt is finished. It seemed to take forever to just add border and quilt and bind. Now that it is done, I think it will be a gift for a new Grandson coming in May.

floating stars top from Making A Lather

I added the same blue as the setting triangles to finish the top of floating stars. This is my one monthly goal for April. It needs backing, and, binding, and, a turn on the longarm. Hopefully, this will be another ufo done this month. I am sneaking it in between other people's quilts. If I didn't, I would never have finishes.


I am trying to make 2 easy breezy blocks each morning. It's easier after I cut a lot of squares from scraps. I cut a stack of the background pieces as well. I will work through ...

A new Goal from Making A Lather

It is a new month and I want to set new goals for the one monthly goal at elm street quilts

The color of the month for the rainbow scrap challenge at so scrappy is blue. As the UFo I want to finish, I have chosen floating stars. I think it just needs borders and quilted. I started this quilt with a class in March of 2017.   Most of the blocks were made then. And the top was was made by July 2017.
