Sometimes you just knit from Becca's Crazy Projects

I'm not entirely sure how this one will turn out. I started with a narrow crescent. No pattern, just an idea and a need to knit. Nothing but knit stitches.
Then joined in the round. I'm using two cakes of sport weight from Freia Fine Handpaint Yarns. My hope is to end up with a small poncho. I think it more likely I will end up with a cowl. I'm going to soldier on in any case. I love watching ombre yarns change colors.

Cranky Socks from Becca's Crazy Projects

So much yarn, so little time. Somehow I had two 50 gram balls of Felici in this colorway.
Sometimes I make socks that match. I considered making the toes in black. Then I realized my eyes aren't as young as they used to be. I didn't wan to struggle through closing up the toes on black yarn. So, these got this amazing pink. I think they turned out quite nicely.

Am I Blue from Becca's Crazy Projects

I've been working on this quilt for a long time. This past weekend I finally attached the binding.
I accordion fold my binding to keep it from getting twisted while I work with it. I know there are loads of tricks people use when winding their binding but this has always worked for me.
Many years ago I switched from attaching binding by machine and finishing by hand to machine-finished binding. You can check out my binding tips and tricks. I work with 2.5" binding. This results in a wider finished binding (3/8") that I would get ...

Hexagon Junk from Becca's Crazy Projects

What to do with that junk mail printed on light cardstock? Make it into hexie papers for English Paper Piecing.
This Fiskars extra large hexagon squeeze punch (Fiskars X-Large Squeeze Punch, Hexagon affiliate link) makes quick work of the light cardstock some junk mail is printed on.
This means I can get a pretty good crop of hexagons out of that one piece of junk.
A little bit of time basting (I thread baste but I don't stitch through the hexagon paper) and you are ready to hand sew those little hexagons together. There are loads of videos on ...

Stacked Windows from Quilt in Piece

This free pattern is foundation pieced, and the pattern when completed makes a King sized bed Quilt. The Pattern makes one quarter of the quilt, this means you will need to print the pattern four times to make a full quilt. My colour choices were white background with several shades of purple. It would look good in any colour palate.
