Cranky Socks from Becca's Crazy Projects

I swear my hand stitches were never this neat. I love the splashes of color in this yarn.
All that's left is to close up the toes with the Kitchener stitch.

100 Blocks 100 Days from Becca's Crazy Projects

I suppose I should start looking at layout options. Some of these blocks would be great in a one or two-block quilt. It's great to add them to my block library.

Cranky Socks from Becca's Crazy Projects

Last week I made another pair of monster socks. The heel is made by working short rows on half the cylinder needles.
These are still my favorite socks. I love hour I can mix the yarns together and come up with a unique pair every time.

Charity Quilting from Becca's Crazy Projects

Last Saturday I dropped off twelve quilts with Annapolis Quilts for Kids. I filled my bags with more quilt tops and backings and headed home.
I started quilting with this fun dinosaur print quilt.
Followed by this fun I-Spy quilt pieced by Mary.

The May 2021 Knitterly Things sock yarn club yarn is Cheerful.
I really like these bright colors.
Such a fun self-striping yarn.
All that remains is to close up the toes and they will be ready for when the cold weather returns.

100 Blocks 100 Days from Becca's Crazy Projects

Week number two of my 100 Days 100 Blocks quilt along project.
I'm continuing to work through the 100 blocks. I've been pulling fabrics from my scrap bins. I'm sure this won't make much of a dent in my collection of scraps.

I'm not going to add individual photos to this post. I also will only update with a collage in the future. If you want to see any of these in greater detail you should check out my Instagram feed. You'll get updates daily for this project, assuming I can keep up. I ...

Cranky Socks from Becca's Crazy Projects

The June 2021 Knitterly Things sock yarn club yarn is Collide.
This time the coordinating mini has speckles. Such a a fun surprise.
I so enjoy a self-striping yarn! All that's left is to close up those toes. I surprised myself by getting them to match.

For those of you keeping track (that number is likely zero) I missed Wednesday this week. That's the first missed post in a long time.

100 Blocks 100 Days from Becca's Crazy Projects

I'm going to try to do a weekly update for my 100 Days 100 Blocks quilt along project. This is the first of those updates.
Last week I finished blocks 1-4.

I'm going very scrappy with this quilt. I'm using squares and strips I have left over from other projects. I have no idea what layout I'm going to use when I finish them all. It is an adventure!

Odds and Ends from Becca's Crazy Projects

Where does the time go?
I picked up this fun machine quilting book a couple months ago and I keep telling myself I'll actually write a review. Maybe next month.
I succeeded in getting block number one of 100 Days 100 Blocks completed. Wish me luck I can stay on track. That's it for today. Enjoy your weekend.

Cranky Socks from Becca's Crazy Projects

I've had these little cakes waiting to become socks for entirely too long. I decided it was time to get cranking. Yarn is Knit Picks Stroll Gradient Duos. It looks like they no longer offer these with two small (50 gram) cakes. You can buy their larger Stroll Gradient in 100 gram cakes.
I decided to make the heels contrast my using the center of the ball for the contrast heel. The last pair I made I cranked right through and I wasn't as happy with the result. You can check out that pair in this post from ...

Diabolical Jane from Becca's Crazy Projects

I think it was a couple months ago that I saw several people posting their Diabolical Jane quilt tops. Jesse Aller posted a free tutorial for this quick and striking quilt on her blog in 2016. I had that tab open in my browser for what seemed a long time. It was time to start cutting and planning.
I started with this one little square. Granted, that's the idea, but it's so small! This isn't even the center square that found its way into the final quilt. Because that's how design works.
I've been trying ...

Quilting in Lime Green from Becca's Crazy Projects

When I picked up the Innova long arm I asked if there was anything MJ wanted me to quilt for her. she handed over a fun little quilt.
I chose this pretty swirl design and got stitching.
I chose a coordinating green for the top and bobbin threads. I love how the texture shows on the solid backing.
Now I can get it back to MJ so she can attach and finish the binding.

Challenging Myself from Becca's Crazy Projects

Every time I make a sampler quilt I tell myself I won't do it again.
Along comes 100 Days 100 Blocks and changes my mind before it has even begun. Image from Gnome Angel's website. I will admit I may have been influenced by Hunter's Design Studio. She shared her version on Instagram and it is delightful. I've been trying to prepare by cutting a few blocks so I'm ready to sew on day one of one hundred. I'll try to keep up. My guess is I'll post to Instagram as I finish ...

Charity Quilting from Becca's Crazy Projects

I love quilts made with these different fabrics. A great eye-spy quilt pieced by Mary.
I pieced and quilted this one. I used a fun star pantograph. I'm getting comfortable with the Innova long arm and loving the robotic quilting. I can do other things while checking up on the machine from time-to-time.
