August, Actually, and a Reveal from ... Cat Patches

Welcome to the last full month of summer. The year seems tediously slow, and surprisingly fast all at the same time. My mind has me stuck back in March when our winter trip grew weird with toilet paper and hand sanitizer shortages, and folks giving one another a wide berth as the virus spread across the country. We ended up cutting our trip short and heading for home. The months since then have passed in a blur. Speaking of blur:



The weather cooled off some yesterday, and we were able to shut off the A/C and open some windows ...

Teal Mini Swap from Baby Boomer Quilting Bee


The annual Teal Mini Swap, hosted by EvaPaige Quilt Designs, is their way to help raise awareness of ovarian cancer during the months of July through September.  There is a limit of 500 participants over the United States and Canada, who make and swap either a mug rug or miniature quilt.  From the $15 registration fee, $10 is directly donated to OCRFA, Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance.

For 2019, Art Gallery Fabrics (AGF) donated the beautiful fabric.  The swappers were required to use this print somewhere in their project (see above).  Lucky for me, I have a HUGE collection ...
