Special-ordered sweatshirt from Quilt in Progress

My mother-in-law had two special sweatshirts ordered – Grandma’s pumpkin patch had the names of all her grandchildren. Granny’s pumpkin patch had the names of all her great-grandchildren.

After her death in 2019, my husband’s sisters wanted to know if I could think of anything to do with the sweatshirts. I’ve made pillow covers before out of t-shirts, but I wanted to do something different for these.

Turning a Sweatshirt into a Jacket from From My Carolina Home

I don’t really care for pullover sweatshirts. To me they are not that comfortable as they are mostly made for people taller than I am, and tend to bunch up on my shorter torso. I much prefer a cardigan style, and wear sweaters like that most of the time. But when I wanted to have something with our MINI club logo to wear on outings, the only choice (other than a thin t-shirt) was a sweatshirt.
