Sunday Stash July 20, 2025 from Quilt Paint Create

Yesterday was my Guild’s garage sale. There were more books and patterns than anything else. I bought a free motion quilting book not pictured.

The fat quarter came from the thrift store. It was too cute to pass up. The stencil kit came from the garage sale. I may try the stencils, but what I really wanted was the Paintstiks. The stencil kit included a small piece of fabric which I didn’t notice until I got to the car.

Sunday Stash December 26, 2021 from Quilt Paint Create

The last stash report of 2021. Unbelievable. I’ll list final numbers for 2021 in next week’s report but don’t expect much change.

I thought I’d spend more time in the sewing room this week, but things didn’t work out that way. I’ve been playing again, using a rubbing plate (right) to create a stencil (top) and then stencilling with paint (bottom).

Fun, and done with a purpose in mind.

Fabric In: 29.5 yards

Fabric Out: 12.125 yards

Net Fabric In: 17.375 yards

I took an artistic break from sewing and spent several days playing with Distress Oxide ink and stencils.

I picked up 12 Ranger Distress Oxide inks and inking tools over the last few months.  I used simple white card stock and stencils.
