Dead Like Me from Becca's Crazy Projects

I enjoyed piecing this quilt so much. The blocks are big, you don't repeat things. It was great. Some of the pieces can be cut with your Accuquilt Go! if you have the right dies.
I worked through the piecing over about a week.
I had some of this great black fabric left over from another project. It made the perfect border.

Dead Like Me from Becca's Crazy Projects

I have been making great progress on my Dead Like Me quilt.
I started with the sections with black fabric. I wanted to see something that really looked like something and the eyes seemed a great start.
I love how this pattern is presented.
It wasn't long before I had finished one half of the top.

Happy Halloween! from StitchinGirlMary's Blog

Those of you who know me know how much I love this time of year. With the cooler weather and the leaves starting to change – I know I am not alone in my contentment. And of course every October we all celebrate the macabre. There’s an acceptance of all things dark and scary that is fascinating– I mean, come on – don’t y’all find it bizarre that you can buy tombstones and human remains at Michaels?

Part of the joy I find in celebrating this time of year is how well our home lends itself to the season ...

Epic Embroidery of Evil from Quiltocalypse

Here's a crazy quilt-style embroidery hoop I made for a friend who's really into black metal. It's hard to tell in the photo, but most of the embroidery and trim is silver metallic. Incorporates some old fashioned ribbon embroidery flowers, and  fabric with black metal musicians on it. (Spoonflower is a hell of a place.) My friend was suitably impressed. \m/  >__<  \m/
