Well I've pulled out and dusted off the die cutter and decided to jump on board the scrap saver system. What's the point of having all those scraps if you don't use them. And what's the point of having a die cutter if you don't use it. So lets do this! Woohoo! I'm super excited to get this journey started. I'll be using the Bonnie Hunter scrap system. As we all know she is the Scrap Queen. So we might as well follower her lead.

Stripy String Quilt
A little while ago Carla from Creatin in the Sticks put a call out to those of us that love stripes - any size any way, striped fabric, striped binding, strips of fabric to make stripes (here's where I come in) literally anything goes!

read moreWho doesn't love a surprise box of goodies? I purchased this scrap box of fabric from Daisy Cottage Quilts. I had no idea what would be in the box. It was listed as a medium flat rate box of scraps, no fabric pictures were included, just a picture of the box. But Sharon of Daisy Cottage Quilts plays in my color pallet so I was pretty sure I was going to receive some cute fabric scraps.
We ventured into Darling Harbour (Sydney) and spent a few hours at the Wildlife Park and the Sydney Aquarium. It was quite a warm day, so this was a nice way to stay a little bit cooler. It seemed as though half of Sydney had the same idea as we did because both attractions were crowded.
