Cousin's Walk Bird Sampler from Humble Quilts


I thought I better move forward with the applique border of the Cousin's Walk bird sampler. 
It is big!


I oversized the triangles, so needed to trim first. 

It certainly will not look like the original quilt, but I guess that is what will make it uniquely mine. It seems I ended up with extra flowers, leaves and buds. 

 
As a reminder here is my center. 

Here is the antique. 
I need to start stitching the top and bottom borders. I am machine appliqueing. 


I'm off to Las Vegas!

Mask Maker, Mask Maker, Make me a Mask! (And other creative endeavors) from Christa Quilts

Masks Made from Layer Cakes

We made masks using 10″x10″ squares of Geo Pop fabric and leftover binding strips.

Well, I finally had some time to sit down and sew some masks with my daughter. She needed to do a community service project for her school and of course it needed to be something we could do from home.

Fitful Friday from Humble Quilts

I'm feel like I'm fitful~ "active or occurring spasmodically or intermittently; not regular or steady."

Nothing is as it should be and it makes me so sad! 
I've slowly started to do a little decorating for spring, but most of that is on this weekend's agenda. 

This liberated basket quilt brings me a smile and reminds me of May Day. 

This is one of my older quilts designed by Country Threads.
And then here is my 4 block version of the Spencer Museum Quilt, pattern by Jan Patek.
