Piping Hot Topper from Jean's Quilting Page



 I've designed a series of tabletopper/runner style quilts that I'm teaching monthly right now. The first one was the Piping Hot Topper. I chose it to be first because it's an all around fun design and easy to make using just about any fabrics. Holiday prints and other novelties can easily be fussy cut and used in the square in a square blocks. We had a lot of fun checking out everyone's fabrics. I gave them a precutting list, so some of them finished the top in class. It finishes at 30".

New pattern: Buffalo Check Christmas Runner from Carried Away Quilting


I am a buffalo check girl. I have buffalo check pillows on our living room sofa, buffalo check napkins in the dining room, and even buffalo check curtains in the guest room. I recently debuted two new patterns, Buffalo Check Autumn and Buffalo Check Winter, which both feature this favorite motif. Hello quilting friends! I hope you all had a joyous holiday and are excited about the coming New Year. I’ve been thankful for a quiet December. Besides enjoying time with family, I worked on my 2020 calendar, read, wrote project lists and goals, and watched some favorite old movies. I also did a bit of sewing, which I’m sharing with you today.

It’s October; leaves are falling and temperatures are dropping in Virginia. It’s a season of change, celebrations and giving thanks.
